Is petkey.org Legit?

PetKey Single handedly brought our beloved pet, Bella safely home. Our Golden Retriever ran off after being frightened by Fireworks although many volunteers helped in an immediate search this method and effort was unsuccessful finding our family pet. The next morning happened to be on a Friday and I found Petkey registered Bella's chip id on their platform and within 4 hours PetKey called us with the name and number of the person that had found our Bella. Luckily, she was returned in less than 24 hours and she was safe and sound.

Petkey is phenomenal. The breeder apparently supplied us with a number, one digit off. When verifying the registration before traveling, we found that the breeders entered number was a digit off, thus had been rejected. One call to Petkey, a quick trip to the Vet for a scan to verify, and Petkey not only corrected the problem for us, but will be contacting the owner of the one digit difference, to ensure their registration is correct, again with the ease of an electronic scan. Great Communication and a very caring company.

I messed up and Registered my chip with this company not knowing I needed to register the chip with another one. I emailed them to let them know I needed to cancel to register with the proper company. They literally handled everything amazing!! What great customer service! Thank you so much!

Registering with Petkey was a charm after having experienced a nightmare on the net and on the phone with the leading competitor. I rest comfortably in knowing that I will be able to locate my precious Bella if she is ever lost or is taken. If I should ever have any more pets I will confidently register them with Petkey as well.

I had not been able to find a vet taking new clients until I called the Cat Clinic in Redwood City. My cat was put on a 6 week waiting list and within the time period she was able to be spayed, get a flea tratment, first vaccines and toenail trim all at the sam appointment and at a reasonable cost. I’ve just taken her back for her second vaccine shot. The staff are pleasant, professional, caring cat folk. I am very grateful to have discovered The Cat Clinic!

Im very satisfied with the help i received concerning my new puppys micro chip registration. I was having problems with registering on line and then i was able to talk to a real person and she made registering so much easier. Zippety DooDa and it was done. Received info and Hunee's tag in time she told me it would arrive. Thank you.

Its a good thing to have tracking, though I am new to this our local veterinarian office offered to put the information of the microchip into there system in case our animals did get lost. The insurance info...may be another service we may look into as our pets go further in age

Petkey sent me info about a dog like the one I lost 40 days ago. Immediately I called but I think with the information I received that the owner of the dog was already found. I gave 5 stars to petkey because although it seemingly so far, looks like the dog was not mine, thanks to your report some other pet owner was lucky today. I hope some other time you would be able to make me happy.

I adopted a dog from a rescue that had her registered through PetKey. When the adoption was finalized, I was able to access the website and change the information on file to mine so that I will be notified if she is ever lost. This is a wonderful service and I hope I never need it, but it could be the difference between never seeing a lost pet again and finding them through the chip notification system. The online website was easy to navigate and secure. The cost in my case is about half of what other chip registrations are. Thanks.

I recently accepted ownership of my sweet pup from someone who needed to rehome him due to space issues (the home, not the pup). The official transition of Prince’s records did not go smoothly and I came to learn, from PetKey to whom I was referred when I investigated, that the original chip # was never registered with any other tracking company. The PetKey agent was very calming and reassuring in the registration process and now I trust that if Prince gets lost, it will be possible to get him home to me, quickly. The chip manufacturer confirmed to me that PetKey was a good provider to use.

My rescue Benji came with Petkey microchip, I just had to pay to activate it. I really can't review it as Benji hasn't been list and I hope we never need to use it. I did buy a name/info tag for his collar and his harness, so people could call if he's found without having to scan a chip.

My experience was very good other then the fact that I never received any paperwork that Shia my Golden Doodle is microchipped and is in the database to be found anywhere. I did go to my email and print out my receipt. Other then that no issues. I just want to make sure my dog was indeed in the database.

I was turned onto petke by our local Key West SPCA, where the director of the SPCA was able to find our 11-year-old cat in their databases through the microchip that was placed in the cat at adoption we were able to go to pet Key and update the proper information so if the cat is ever found it can be returned to his mother we also updated the name from the name they gave him at the adoption as Harry to Captain Boo, he lives on a boat in Key West and will be running for mayor,now thanks to petkey and their services !

Easy to use service. Only thing I found not so easy is each time I log in it says I haven't completed my profile information but this could be user error. I hadn't figured out how to save this information pertinently instead of each time I log in.

Absolutely cannot say more kind words about Petkey. Been using them for over 3 yrs now with all my litters. Had a 1 off and tried Fi-Nano which was very much a disappointment. Absolutely love petkey and will stay loyal to them.

So, keep in mind that I have not had a chance to use the services of Petkey, so I’m only going to give it 4 stars, but going by their customer service, they seem to have their act together. I don’t feel right giving a review for something that I’ve not even used. Thanks, and don’t forget to use the new client discount like I did! 😂

I like the fact that I could purchase a lifetime subscription for a one time fee. My only disappointment was the tag itself I would’ve liked to of bought one that was either engraved or stamped because of durability concerns.

I had an excellent experience with Petkey in getting my horse registered with a microchip. The process was easy and timely -- I had him registered in short order. Knowing he is protected in the event he is lost or stolen is extremely important to me, and I thank Petkey for this necessary service in a friendly way.

The name tag was in fact very cheaply made for ($15) and I too feel fleeced because when I typed in the company the humane society gave me Pet Key popped up. I like others didn't realize it was not associated with the original company and they got my money. I have never heard of yearly renewal fees in all my years of microchipping pets. Seems like a scam to me. Hoping my pet is truly protected.
