Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of peoplebyname.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. peoplebyname.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. “This site sucks diseased, dripping donkey $#*!.”
I, being the nosey piece of $#*! that I am, hopped on to find out who my whore of a girlfriend had been texting and sucking on. Paid the buck, then got billed 30, then 32 more, and on and on. Finally had my credit card peeps smack them in the scrotum. Found out it was an old douche bag that lives across town, and of course he drives an old, red Chevy truck with a rebel flag in the back. That's ok, because he can have her. He can also have the Chlamydia I gave him by proxy. Got my money back (thru my credit card co.), And when I wake up in chair, my mouth bleeding. Dripping blood, this is no good. He is Egyptian magician, I wake up, have red shank around it.
“Awful and an attitude”
Info sent to me was over 2 years old. When i called for refund i got a major attitude."well we did the work" was the response i got. Its a total scam. I got more information from google. Do NOT use this service... waste of time and money. I WILL fight this. Tip for consumers:Use another site this is a scam Service Value Returns Quality
“Where's Your $#*!ing Service After You Pay?”
Like most the ask for some kind of payment for detailed information. So I tried the $1 trial then get a message that says your number is being researched, will take 24 to 48 hours. Why the $#*! is that you useless tool of a website. Negative seo your site so it gets lower rankings so we all can see less of your bull$#*!. $#*!off! Tip for consumers:Skip this $#*! “Fraud, Scam, Thieves!”
Fraud, scam. No reply from them. Signed up for a $1.00,7 day trial. They did nothing and did not respond to my emails. When I contacted customer service to cancel was told I would have a reply in 24 hours and still nothing. These crooks need to be stopped!
“Good data”
Good data decent price. Have not had a bad experience. If they don't have name they'll research it and email you in a few hours when its ready. Also the price is pretty good at 9.99 a month if you decide you don't want to spend the 29.99. Cancelling is easy and can be done over the website anytime prior to trial but i decided to renew for the 9.99. Service Value Quality
“Scam”
Asked for a refund and received an email confirming but received no refund, I learned my lesson. It's all lies, even when you do the text search and it says"available" it's a lie. I've done the test search and got the available check mark just to put in money and have it say that the information is not available. They also promise to give you a refund if the search is unsuccessful but that isn't true because all they gave me was in store credit. Don't waste you time or money.
“TODAY I RECEIVED THE BEST SERVICE!”
In Feb., 2018 I paid $1.00 to try their service. I didn't like it, and cancelled. Upon review of my Paypal account I saw their regular monthly charge of $29.99. So I sent them a message to confirm cancelled. When I saw the $29.99 again appear on my April statement I called People By Name, and left a voice mail restating my cancel request. Within minutes I got a call back from Franchesca. She was wonderful! She actually listened to my message, and quickly defused the situation. She explained (and this was the case for me), that people sign up with one email, and either contact them on another, or leave a difference name, they can't match the account to help, and call backs, especially from an 800 number often go unanswered, (I'm guilty of this.) She offered me a refund, which I appreciated so much, and wished me a good day. Thanks and have a great day.
“These people are scum!”
I tried there "offer" on one number and neglected to read fine print! Never used it again. They charge your card 29.99 a MONTH AFTER THAT! I contested it with my credit card company but they wouldn't refund me. Total con artists! Tip for consumers:THAT THEY CHARGE YOU $30 a month if you don’t cancel!!!!!!! Value Quality
“Awful Scam”
They charged me automatically after the seven day period, no warning, and no refund upon immediate cancellation. Thirty bucks down the drain. On top of that, they conveniently didn't even have the info I was looking for. BUYER BEWARE. Tip for consumers:They do charge automatically and it's apparently nonrefundable. Service Value Returns Quality
“They suck! Scammers!”
I paid for a one time service for $5.95 and 7 days later, my Card gets charged $29.99 two months in a row for something I did not even ask for. Looks like this is a scamming business and a class action suit needs to be filed against them. Dirty business people are going to have to pay a lot of attorney's fees.
“They are scammer”
People when you use scammers such as these idiots use visa vanilla with next to nothing on it or a prepaid also with $#*! all on it when comes time for renewal tada it bounces back insufficient funds now how the hell are they going to pay themselves. That's what I did and it will bounce back and they are twit enough to allow a visa vanilla credit card number to be entered
“Complete Ripoff”
I searched a phone number. It said it found information. I paid for a report. It sent me to infotracer.com for my report. I paid infotracer.com to see my report. Infotracer.com say they have nothing to do with peoplebyname.com. I have gone back and forth with peoplebyname.com. They give me one story and then another. They finally agreed to refund my money, Service Value
“It is a scam website be careful”
Unknown phone number called me and threaten me. I wanted to know more about the caller using this site. It was a scam website took my money but didn't provide any service in return don't pay the website just takes money and don't provide any service it is scam Tip for consumers:Please don’t use it or pay you will be scammed of your money Service Value Quality
“DISHONESTY”
I got a call, but nobody spoke on the other end. When I called back I got a message that the phone was out of service. I contacted PeopleByName and got their message that the person who called me using that number was found. I immediately paid for the report and then got other message that the person who called me was being researched, and the report will be delivered in 24-48 hours. That's dishonesty. I am NOT going to use this service again and I will leave my reviews everywhere for people to know about it.
“No response after paying for number search”
This company is a scam. I paid $13.97 Canadian for a phone number search. After several emails sent I still have not gotten a response as to where the information is I have paid for. Of course there is no phone contact for the company!
“Unauthorized charges, No customer service!”
Be careful! Even after canceling my subscription I was still being charged 4 months later. I sent over 10 emails and had 8 open tickets with them. I have called 3 times and all you get is an automated voice telling you to leave a message and they will call you back. They don't! I have not been called back and they continue to charge me even though I received a cancel varification 4 MONTHS AGO! Noone responds to the emails, noone calls you back! DO NOT USE THIS SITE! They scam you out of your money! If there was an option for a ZERO rating they would have gotten a zero!
“Stop selling people's information”
Stop selling people's personal information! People already have a hard time keeping hackers and phishers from exploiting us. You are despicable! I hope you
“Total Scam! TOTAL FRUAD!”
The confirmed they found an owner of the number I searched. They collected my $9.99 and once that happened they said - sorry, we don;'t have any information on that number. TOTAL FRAUD! Tip for consumers:DON'T Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Information obtained is subject to hacking your data”
Your information is subject to possible hacking from either your name or phone number. Based in Florida, this organization will not protect your private information. Service Value Quality
“SCAM”
The site showed the number I was looking for and it stated that it had the owners name and address. I paid the rate for looking up the number and also paid extra so three of my numbers would not reveal me…ONCE I CLICKED ON THE KEY IT SAID THAT THERE IS NO INFORMATION ON THAT NUMBER! SCAM! Tip for consumers:This site says they have the persons name and address but they don’t! I obviously would not have paid anything if they didn’t have the information for the reverse lookup. Service Value Returns Quality
“Morons or Scammers”
They make you sign up for membership by month for $1.00 but you can cancel before 7 days. However, if you cancel, they don't send the report you paid the $1.00 for & signed up for. Probably scammers. Service Value Quality
“Misleading and false advertising!”
Random number showed up in my phone under my wife's name (obviously I know her number and this wasn't it). I tried Googling the phone number and found PeopleByName. When I punched in the number it made a show of pretending to find all the number's details with a Matrix-like animated gif or something that made it seem real time. Cute, I thought, but probably fake. Then it came up with a page that said it had located details for all kinds of different pieces of information regarding this number including full name, address, etc. So, like an idiot, I paid the $1 free trial. Got the e-mail that said "We'll get back to you in 24-48 hours." Okay... not quite what I thought, since it seemed to already have found all the info I wanted, but whatever I'll wait and see. Then I get an e-mail that said "Sorry, we couldn't find any info on this number." Seriously?! So basically you scammed me into paying you by making me believe that I was guaranteed to get the information I wanted and then telling me your website flat out lied to me. I made sure to cancel the recurring payment that they wanted immediately and I will be following up with Paypal (thank goodness I didn't give them my actual card number) to make sure no recurring payments are processed. TL: DR Total scam, don't fall for it.
“One big scam...”
I pay for the serch thay say its showing op in the end i didnt got even the name. No refunds! You have to be ashame i wish i can make a review without even one star
“Hidden charges, they charge you without notice”
Be careful, they have hidden charges, not upfront, much more costly as you go into a search on a person or a phone number
“I canceled and still getting billed”
Not very much info i cancelled and they still billing my debit card what a ripoff i will never use this service again

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
