pelicanparts.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives pelicanparts.com a low trust score on the platform: 18.4. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: New. Suspicious. Dubious.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 18.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to pelicanparts.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the New. Suspicious. Dubious. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning pelicanparts.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between pelicanparts.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of pelicanparts.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of pelicanparts.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. pelicanparts.com is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether pelicanparts.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether pelicanparts.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, pelicanparts.com.

They ship fast, prices okay, but god forbid you need to intercept the order and cancel, change address or reorder with missing parts. Their representatives must be receiving incredibly poor wages for the level of effort put into responding emails and assisting customers. They’ll cost you double, beware. Also their website is very badly crafted and you can’t even change the cart item quantities, quite trivial. We might find more empathetic AI agents in this day and age.
Horrible Return Policy,Be Aware... if you ever need to Return a Part, your in for a Treat. first off you must become a non paid secretary for the co. by filling out forms and printing them off, all on your time & expense...Then... They will contradict you...Argue & treat you like your a Crook, even though the wrong parts were sent...they then keep your original & return shipping costs and refund you only for the wrong parts returned...there so called Expert say's they should fit... but they do not... the parts are wrong and will Not fit the car...easily proved in a side by side comparison... but they will not listen, I will sell my car before ever doing business again with this co. Please be Aware.
DONT TRUST THE FAKE REVIEWS HEAD OVER TO TRUSTPILOT. My partner ordered me a clutch fork for my mini here and it was taking so long to arrive so we emailed them about it and they just said that they tried calling our phone (never happened) and we didn’t answer and now our part and our money is gone. THIEVES BEWARE
Katie Ly was my sales representative. She was excellent. She took my order of numerous parts for two of my cars. We exchanged phone calls a few times and she was always pleasant and responsive, even when I left her messages. She even helped me secure my cyber Monday discount. Excellent customer service experience.
I sent them an email this week regarding one of their aftermarket products that doesn't work. A fact that is borne out by feedback from many of their customers on their website. I know the reason why they don't work and I offered to explain this to them so that they might sort it out. Received a dismissive response from someone who described himself as the Senior Technical Advisor. A meaningless stock response. Couldn't care less basically. A very poor show.
I bought a clutch fork for a mini was very expensive. I was just asking where is my package and they said that someone tried to call my cell (never happened). Them they said that my part is considered abandoned and I won't be getting my part or my money back. Basically robbed me these guys are gangsters beware.
Horrendous experience. Worst company to deal with. Website shows in stock for parts, took the payment then run around for 2 weeks. Customer service rep supervisor hung up on me. One rep stated parts can be here between now and christmas, meanwhile the guy that took the order stated 3 days. Liars and libtards.
Worst, dodgy supplier. They knew that there will be three weeks delay for overseas dispatch from California due to Covid 19, but still did not change the false promises date BEFORE collecting the money. Package is still in California and talking about one month delay!!!! Told me two weeks after collecting money. Then said that they can’t refund too. Can’t cancel. Want whole package back back and forth from Australia, and then will think about any refund at all. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
Ordered parts for a late 90s Bimmer. Had to call for help, hard to find what I needed on website - category groupings are not especially helpful. Most parts were original BMW so that was nice. What I’m most disappointed in is the shipping. Ordered on a Saturday, shipped on Monday, expected to arrive a week later on Monday. That really delays my project another weekend. Pelican Parts should call Late Model Restoration for help with shipping. They ship almost everything for free and it arrives in two days. Guys need parts quick - a week plus for shipping is crazy. Is it coming by horse???
Usually have what you need for your German vehicle but don’t expect to install your part anytime in the near future if you live on the East coast.18$ shipping is a bit much for a $40 order that after a week still waiting.
I ordered a genuine part for my Mercedes and of course payed the full price as requested, about a week later they sent me an email that they are unable to supply the genuine part but have a compatible generic part which I accepted to receive instead at a small discount. The part arrived totally diffrent to what I ordered and does not fit my car. When ask to return the part they exclaimed that the part is compatible with the OEM part which is not true, moreover I had to pay very high custom fees on a part that I can not use. I suggest not do business with these guys
I have ordered parts for my old Mercs a couple of times from Pelican Parts and on each occasion they were a delight to deal with. Very helpful at pre-order stage and then shipping etc was fluent from start to finish. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending them. Far too often I have been let down by suppliers where they say I will get X and they will provide it for Y price and it has ended up not being the case. Far too many people calling themselves experts. I don't think Pelican Parts call themselves experts, but they should, because they are. Pretty much all service providers in Ireland could benefit from watching how Pelican deal with their customers.
I am UK based. I used Pelican’s search tool to identify my car on model year. I spent over $1,000 on parts, plus circa $300 on import taxes. My car is a 1994 Porsche 993. I was sent parts for a 1994 Porsche 964, a completely different model. The Pelican tool is based solely on USA model years, nowhere else. Pelican would not pay for shipping or taxes for me to return the goods. Terrible customer service
My email readStruts for 1997 Volvo S90"Dear Sir,Invoice number1541994606-783Bill of sale dated 13 November 2018 .These struts were fitted to my car, odometer reading 257759 kms, by a Volvo specialist on 22 November 2018.On 9 October this year, the same specialist showed me that both struts needed replacing. The odometer reading was 274462 kms, so the struts had lasted only 16703 kms. I drive very little these days. This is truly appalling. I paid $186.00 for the two struts.Might I suggest that you cease selling these obviously inferior parts? And would you like to refund me what I paid for these struts?Pelican Parts merely sent me an email saying that the warranty expired after 2 years, and did not seem to be bothered enough to comment on my view that the parts were inferior.Let's hope no-one else buys these egregiously hopeless shocks!
Bought a Targa top seal for my '82 911. It was sold as Porsche Genuine Parts and it matched per their sales person and website. The Price was $ 600! It did not match, not even close, additionally on delivery it was already torn and bore no bag tag or label with the Porsche trademark; leading me to doubt it was really a Porsche OE part. A bit of pushback on the return.
Website is well designed -their service not so good. Often part is on back order - and you wait. I get the impression they call the Porsche dealers and order the part - then mark it up and ship it. If you return a part they keep 25% of your money for “restocking fee”.Use their website to figure out what you need - then order from another website !!
Their website guaranteed these parts would fit my porsche, they did not. Now I am on the hook for return shipping. How is that a thing?
I ordered a part and wasn’t in much of a hurry for it so I didn’t care to look at the delivery date. I assumed it would be delivered within a week like most items you order online. after three weeks I checked tracking and I had a delivery date . so I waited a few more days checked it again and the delivery date vanished and they never said anything no email, no nothing. so I canceled the order and still never received an email. Oh well . Maybe they have enough customers they don’t need my business
Horrendous experience, after three calls no resolution and I was just trying to buy a part!
i ordered 3 parts totalling 368.00 for my BMW. Decided to return the brand new unused parts, still in their original packaging and boxes for a refund. Sent them back to Pelican after confirming with their customer service that I could return them. I was refunded 124.00 freaking dollars out of my original 368.00 purchase price!I have never in the history of purchasing auto parts not gotten a full refund for brand new returned unused parts. This is disgusting and I'll never use this company again.UPDATE**** Update, I was reached out to by a representative from Pelican Parts and they have since refunded me my full refund. I guess they haven't lost a customer after all. Thanks to Michael Morita Vice President of eCommerce Pelican Parts, for assisting me to resolve this issue.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
