The Scam Detector website Validator gives pcadaptersdepot.co.uk one of the lowest trust scores on the platform: 11.4. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 11.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to pcadaptersdepot.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning pcadaptersdepot.co.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between pcadaptersdepot.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of pcadaptersdepot.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of pcadaptersdepot.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. pcadaptersdepot.co.uk is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

I ordered a replacement Sony TV power cable. Within 3 hrs I received message from my bank advising someone had registered my card on ApplePay and had tried to use my card details to purchase items in US Dollars?? This is scam/fraudulent company. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
SCAM. They sent me a the wrong charger, said it was compatible but it’s useless and does not fit my laptop. Would only refund me if I paid £20 to return the item to China. I ended up getting a full refund from PayPal. The company is useless and full of scammers that do not abide by UK law.
The charger looks the same as the charger I ordered but it does not fit my laptop and I then discovered the model number is not what I ordered. Thank goodness it did not fit or my laptop would have been damaged - or written off. They are not replying to emails. PCAdaptorsDept is just another intermediary site where all and sundry can flog their stuff - in this case from China - so it takes ages to arrive. Avoid at all costs.
Scammers . Same story as everyone else. Sent wrong adapter mysteriously. I send photos , then no response. Can't believe they are still allowed to trade .
Needless to say, because of the long time between order & delivery with no real reassurance of the goods turning up, I asked for a refund.8th August ordered22nd August queried whereabouts of goods23rd August refund offered & accepted (reshipping the goods was also offered, but this was not a viable option for me)2nd September refund in my bank A/C.It is to their credit that this company did finally refund me. Nevertheless, my experience was not great. In the end, I paid through the nose & bought directly from Dell. This assured the provenance of the goods, along with immaculate customer service & delivery before promised date.
Awful Awful Awful, avoid at all costs.Sent a charger, it took a month to arrive, then was water damaged and now the cable works but crackles. Therefore, not willing to use it.Seller would refund on me paying for postage back to China. What is the point when the item cost £16.28 in total, the cost to return would make it pointless to return. They should pay the entire postage OR just refund and trust what I'm saying. They just think i'm lying over something so cheap. Why would I over this price?I'm annoyed over the principal rather than the fact I lost £16.28Please avoid them at all costs.
Didn't do my due diligence on these people. Ordered, as advertised by this company, a genuine Dell laptop battery to repair critical business computer, therefore urgently needed. Ordered 8th Aug, nothing delivered as of 22nd Aug. On my inquiries, received pathetic parcel tracking emails that say nothing & are useless; also began to receive what I believed to be suspicious phishing emails that seemed to know the basis of the order. Based on reviews I've now read in this site, I strongly suspect that when (if) my battery arrives it will not be a Dell original, but some cheap Chinese knock-off copy that will burst into flames when first charged up. I will NEVER use this company again, & cannot recommend them to anyone else.
haha trust me do not buy these cables i read reviews after purchasing and they didn’t let me cancel after 1 hour of purchase and took 2 weeks to come bunch of scammers chinese company scam scam scam
Avoid these scammers! I ordered a Sony original Adapter for my TV like how it was advertised, but when it arrived it’s a cheap clone adapter from China. After a lot of email exchange they final decided to take it back but then expected me to send it back to China. I will be contacting my bank asking for a refund. I suggest you do the same contact your bank and tell them they’re a fraudulent company pretending to be based in the UK
Do not use this company. Products not genuine Don't respond to emails for refund
Ordered a charger for my laptop, they sent the wrong one and told me if I wanted to return it I had to pay for shipping to China. Had to go to my credit card company to get a refund AVOID
This laptop battery arrived after weeks of waiting and it's a fake which cost me £76.99. It's advertised as an original Huawei battery which is why I paid the money as I didn't want a fake which might burst into flames, I wish I'd read these reviews before buying. It appears from the web address to be a UK company but actually seems to be based in China. On the plus side it was very well packaged but the battery itself is covered in a cheap looking paper which isn't stuck down very well, very cheap and tatty. There's no mention of Huawei on it as was shown on the advert when I bought it. not happy at all
The company website address leads you to believe it is a UK based company, it is a Chinese firm making copies and not even good ones. The plug in interface was completely the wrong size and therefore unusable.I contacted the company to try to return it, only to be asked to measure the interface I.e the bit which plugs in to the computer. Once completed, and several emails later, albeit very polite and trying to be helpful, I was informed I needed to return the adapter to China at my expense. Please don't make the same mistake I did and waste your money
Their real name is Bo Yuan e-commerce; they are a Chinese company selling in the UK as "PCAdapters Depot". They send their products from China. They sent me a charger which didn't work. I emailed them 6 times asking about their return and refund procedure, and for a return address. They refused to give me a return address and instead kept saying that my computer must be faulty or I must have bought the wrong adapter. They insisted I send them photos, measurements, etc, which I did, although they were irrelevant, as the item they sent simply didn't work. After a couple of weeks of fruitless emails and their refusal to accept the item back, or to give me any address, I finally resorted to Paypal. Luckily I'd paid by Paypal, who looked into it, found me the address in China to return the item to, and refunded me the costs of the postage and also the faulty item. I should not have had to resort to this though, the process took weeks and was very time-consuming and stressful. I would definitely avoid this company!
By the website name you think you're on a UK site but it's China. The product was described as Apple but turn out to be a copy and taking for a return was impossible.Avoid this site completely. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Suspicious. Young. Untrustworthy. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website.
Just be aware that you are NOT buying from a UK company. Also, Be AWARE - you are not getting genuine DELL battery as clearly advertised on their website but a replica. If wanting a genuine part then would definitely not recommend this company. Product arrived 15 days after order was placed - too late.
I ordered a battery for a small laptop and it has been almost a month now and no delivery in sight. The tracking information only shows that a parcel was collected somewhere in China and nothing else whatsoever. The initial order said 15-20 working days so I am waiting for an update from them.I will update my review accordingly, but I was under the impression that this is UK based company, while clearly this is not the case and I am not impressed.
Ordered a genuine Bose replacement battery, thought it was a UK company but turns out it is based in China. So took longer to arrive than expected (two weeks) , but has arrived and works just fine , whether it is truly a genuine Bose battery who knows, but was only a few pounds more than a generic one from eBay so I'm not that concerned.I did have a query at the start on which battery to order, and to be fair they were very helpful.
I ordered the wrong battery by mistake. I choose to cancel the order and communications from their end was quick and professional. They refunded me in full after 6 days. So did not buy a battery on this occasion but would buy from them as they seem professional and trustworthy. They seem to be a Chinese based company, at least they ship from China, so the UK in the domain name is a bit misleading.
I ordered a laptop battery for my Lenovo without realising I was placing it in Shanghai. Concerned I looked at reviews which further raised my concerns. However, the battery arrived in 12 days and is exactly what I ordered. There were no additional import charges.I can’t fault the company based on my experience.

Don’t let them get away with it! Don’t let them get away with it! This company is using a UK website address to make believe they are a UK-based business, but are actually based in China and ripping off customers from the UK. To get your money back from a scammer selling faulty items, you should report the scam to Action Fraud and contact your bank or payment provider to dispute the transaction. Contact your bank or the method of payment you used to pay them. You can claim your money back through your Payment Providers using the Section 75 and chargeback protection, for your credit and debit cards, which you used to pay. Then report them to the Federal Trade Commission, National Cyber Security Centre (for website takedown), and the Interpol National Central Bureau in China, Internet Crime Complaint Centre (IC3) (FBI). Just Google these organisations for their website to log your complaint. Don’t let them get away with it and get your money back, the legal way.
