paypal-prepaid.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives paypal-prepaid.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 86.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 86.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to paypal-prepaid.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning paypal-prepaid.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between paypal-prepaid.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of paypal-prepaid.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of paypal-prepaid.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. paypal-prepaid.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether paypal-prepaid.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether paypal-prepaid.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, paypal-prepaid.com.

“Terrible Company”
PayPal is the worst. They freeze accounts, they withhold funds, they seize funds. The only reason they are where they are because they were the 1st. I hope in the future, there are strong alternatives to replace them.
“PayPal and confirming identity. Horrible!”
I do understand that banks and companies like PayPal must confirm your identity. Hence, I work for a company that needs to do this. What I don't understand is that PayPal, a company that works in almost every country, makes it impossible to adapt your data. Impossible! But limit your account because of this. PayPal! There are many inhabitants of the universe who move from country to country for their jobs. They live there for some years. Or shorter, and then move on to another country. But because of your faulty website, information cannot be changed. Thus, I cannot change info, because your website doesn't let me, yet I am the one who is being limited?! I tried to remove my account, but I cannot even do this because of the data that I need to provide. You know what!. Do you believe I am going against your AML/TF regulations? Please report me. I don't care, I am as clean as can be. Tip for consumers:It is time that there comes a replacement that knows how to handle customers. Companies that grow too big have the habit to treat customer like "you know what". Products used:PayPal Service Value Quality
“Is it Time to Leave?”
I've used PayPal for over 20 years. Today, I attempted to make a 21. Purchased from Home Depot, attempted to use PayPal with no success. After about 10 tries I gave up. What good is it if it doesn't work. What if this were an emergency and I had no way to use it?
“MONEY STOLEN FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT USING…”
MONEY STOLEN FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT USING PAYPAL! For months I was getting unauthorized transactions send from my bank to PayPal! I only used PayPal to receive money never to pay or send money! I been getting harrased by PayPal to pay a debt that was unauthorized by me! The customer service people are unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing! Called multiple times, I even reported fraud on the website 3x kept getting denied by PayPal. I had to remove my bank account information from PayPal as soon as I noticed unauthorized transactions and change my bank account number! The worst part is that when a transaction is pending you are not allowed to cancel! So PayPal takes the money out of your bank account with out being able to stop it. Once it's transferred the money is taking out immediately from your account! No one is able to help. They pass you on and on to different people and everyone is lost and has no idea how to help.
“Known to be close peoples accounts and confiscate they're money for no reason even after...”
Known to be close peoples accounts and confiscate they're money for no reason even after giving them all your personal information Id Driving license bank statement etc.Thank you paypal for freezing my account an my money for no reason. I learned a lot by avoiding you. There are a ton of services out there with much lower fees that doesn't steal peoples hard earned money. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Zettle is terrible and PayPal makes it worse.”
PayPal put a limit on my account and now I can't process credit cards. They asked for information, I supplied it, they said the review would take 3 business days but after that, they asked for more information and another 3 days to review that and then they wanted more information and after I provided that they say 5 days. Beside this nightmare, Zettle app has been awful. They only recently added the ability to keep customer information. I can't even find out what customer received a receipt for any charge before. Now it still cant look up what customer made a particular charge. It only shows me the receipts when I look up a customer file. It is very unsophisticated. Tip for consumers:Don't use Zettle!! Products used:I have used PayPal for many years but it was Zettle, which will only work with PayPal that made me have problems with my PayPal account. Service Value Quality
“Excellent”
I am a black woman. I purchased skin lightening products from the website ebay.com and i didnt even get my products. I notified paypal and they helped me get my money back because the seller accepted paypal.I then purchased skin bleaching products from another seller that accepts paypal called mansionhawaiibeauty.online recommended by ebony magazine and their stronger professional or prescription strenght products make me look far more light skin and this time no problems at all by far the best skin lightening products i have ever found. Thank you paypal for helping me when i needed it and thank you to the mansionhawaiibeauty.online. I recommend only buying from websites that accept paypal because it means you as the buyer are fully protected.
“ZERO STARS”
I had two fraudulent charges on my account and after repeatedly trying to address the issues via the app I had to call their "help center" only to be told that because I monitor my banking multiple times daily (due to past identity theft) and had to wait until a certain time of day to contact them that, the fraudulent charges made across country from me weren't fraudulent and they're doing nothing. Even though two more fraudulent charges tried to process after they were aware of what was going on. Another from the person that already defrauded me. Oh, but they're so sorry for the inconvenience and our hard-earned money being taken from our account. Service Quality
“No Advisor or Refund”
Paypal do not refer you to an adviser with problems, instead get a robot bod, that keeps repeating itself. Also been waiting ages for a refund for something that I cancelled. Eg no item have been received or returned, however, it is taking a long time and it seems like, it is not the shop or the bank problem. So where is the problem? I am also not sure how their resolution system works either, if no problems are referred.
“Useless when it matters”
Lost plenty of money to a fraudulent Chinese company because PayPal are absolutely useless when it matters. No interest in looking beyond the superficial and not interested in combatting blatant criminality through their site. Service Value Quality
“Bad choice”
In short, PayPal is a bad choice. The platform is unnecessarily complicated and creates a lot of headaches. Reporting a problem or resolving an issue is troublesome. Customer service is unreachable, leaving you trapped and frustrated, waiting for their action, which comes normally after unjustifiable very long time. Any small business has live chat for support but PayPal is offering you a limited list of enquirers and if you did not find what you are looking for, they refer you to their community! The fees are not only overpriced but also not being informed upfront. I'm waiting to use up my remaining balance and I will shut my account for good.
“PayPal is a a scam! They won't give me my money.”
3 days after receiving a large sum of money that I NEED ASAP I am still getting this error message when I try to transfer my money. I called them multiple times. Spent hours on hold. They have the worst customer service imaginable. Their entire company is based on wearing out the customer, in order to use their money interest free for as long as possible. They should be shut down!
“S̲̅u̲̅p̲̅r̲̅e̲̅m̲̅e̲̅ a̲̅s̲̅s̲̅e̲̅t̲̅s̲̅ r̲̅e̲̅c̲̅o̲̅v̲̅e̲̅r̲̅y̲̅.̲̅ o̲̅r̲̅g̲̅”
If you find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend ((.)) as a trusted partner to recover lost funds from this platform. Their experience, professionalism and unwavering dedication make them an excellent choice. I am immensely grateful for your remarkable service and I cannot thank you enough for restoring what was once lost. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Not true to their word”
Don't believe they will refund you when you get ripped off by retailers. They won't. Their whole dispute and appeal process is a sham. Please find another way to pay for goods on line. They don't live up to their hype. Not even worth one star. How much proof do they need?
“No "buyer protection" where it matters”
I had paypal refunding me on the past, for cheap bad purchases, but when I had a real expensive problem (~$520!), it rejected my dispute without giving any reasonable explanation, even after 2 appeals (kept saying I modified the item, even though it was not true and the seller was the one installing it). When you come to think of it it becomes clear they prefer not to refund the buyer: they get commissions only on performed transactions, not on cancelled ones...! And you don't have any way of addressing them for an appeal (customer service, complaints and so).
“Paypal not consumer friendly”
I purchased an item that said "100% risk free". The item was not what was advertised. Advertisement said realistic looking Husky but it looks like a cheap Dollar store toy. I filed a complaint with Paypal. After several harassing emails from seller PayPal agreed to a full refund if mail and pay for tracking this garbage toy back to China. I will never purchase from PayPal again.
“They protect Chinese scammers”
I used PayPal a lot, and I thought it was a protective mechanism working ok. In the past they helped me sometimes. But when I had a big argument (more than 300$) with a company that was a complete scam and I wanted to return many of the items, they clearly took sides with the Chinese (false presentation of goods, the clothes look like plastic bags…) and didn't helped me at all. Finally, customers are not protected, online buying is a chaos. Double and triple check before buying.
“Permanently Banned with no reason given”
PayPal permanently banned me after over a decade with no complaints or refunds. All I ever used it for was to pay for stuff online, subscriptions, and sending/receiving money from people I know. They said it was a decision by their acceptable use team but refused to tell me what the actual issue was. Tip for consumers:Do not trust PayPal with your money. I was lucky and didn't have any funds in my account when this happened. Others were not so fortunate and had to wait 6 months for their funds to be released. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Fund missing from Instant Transfer”
I initiated instant money transfer to my bank account on 11/8 of $558 but it never transferred to my bank nor fund isn't available in Paypal account as well. I called Paypal and they said that it will be resolved within 24-48 hours but today is 11/17 and my money is still missing same time I don't have any updates from Paypal yet. Reason people pays extra fees to use the instant transfer is because they urgently need fund available to them. It's been a 9 days since the transfer and I would not trust Paypal as a reliable financial institution.
“Don't get sucked in”
Resolution center sucks. Customer Service is a joke. It's all about the Chinese merchant. Disputes Reaves for the seller and they won't listen to you when you finally get a real person. Bought Christmas presents. Company supposedly out of CO, then get the Chinese tracking and something totally different than ordered. Now have to spend half of the refund amount in mailing items back. PayPal is a joke
“Expect NO help with fraud”
Immediately contacted PayPal about a fraudulent purchase. They do the bare minimum. You basically have to do all the investigating for them and they give very little time to do it. Gave me 10 days. The so-called seller never even emailed me a shipping invoice, just sent it to PayPal. Seems like you should make the seller jump through hoops and refund my money. These people would think twice about using PayPal for fraudulent scams if they had to do this every time they got called out for it. Thanks for nothing PayPal. If you have the option of using another platform I highly recommend switching. Tip for consumers:Use someone other than PayPal. They don't care Products used:Fraud, never received product. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“How are they still in business?!”
Created a PayPal account that was locked immediately. Never got to use it. No reason given as to why. I called and was passed around to 4 different people, on hold for just under 2 hours to finally find out it was because the bank account I used that is joint account with my husband apparently showed a remaining balance of $17 on his PayPal account. This balance was paid almost a decade ago. My husband is not going to pay them what he has already paid. They won't allow me to just change my bank account to my personal. Every person I spoke to is like a robot just reading a script. Zero compassion or understanding. This is literally the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. How in the world are they still up and running? Tip for consumers:Dont Service Value Quality
“Customer service has no idea as to how to correct an issue with my account.”
I've had this account for over 10+ years. Any issue or concern was quickly addressed and corrected in the past. Today PayPal has no idea how to correct the issues I'm having. I've been on the phone all day and nothing. I can't use my account and my PayPal balance is not assessable to me. Thieves Service
“PayPal is friends with scammers”
PayPal makes too much money off of scammers to rule in your favor. PayPal requires no proof from scammer if item was delivered but if I sold to you I've been ruled against even with tracking numbers and signature proof. Unfortunately I've been with PayPal since 2005. Because of their dishonesty that time is coming to an end. This isn't the first time they sided with a scammer. Please, only deal with PayPal if you enjoy getting ripped off by scammers and know in advance they are bed buddies with scammers. Tip for consumers:Beware of scammers! Products used:Service Service Value Quality
“Not like the old days”
When you escalate a claim you assume PayPal reads the entire complaint however after my previous experience I have discovered they didn't understand the actual issue. They actually missed the entire point. The issue was about purchasing of insurance that didn't cover my item, the issue was not my item. There are 2 lessons here, retailers are now desperate so be careful and PayPal has clearly been outsourced as their grasp on the English language is clearly absent.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
