patagonia.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives patagonia.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 85.2. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 85.2 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to patagonia.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning patagonia.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between patagonia.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of patagonia.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of patagonia.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. patagonia.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether patagonia.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether patagonia.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, patagonia.com.

Charged for the order and never received it.I purchased a few items in march, after a few days they realise the main item is out of stock (!!!). My card was charged anyways, they argued it was a temporary hold, but it was never released. I have called and sent multiple emails. No answer.
Patagonia is best outdoor clothing company I've ever dealt with. Their products are well designed, well made, and last almost forever. Their return and recycling policy is outstanding. They just gave me a $40 credit when I returned my 30-year-old beat-to-hell backpack. One of these days I'll return my 30+-year-old Patagonia fleece and rain jacket, but they're still in pretty good shape. Service in the New York Soho store is excellent.
They promise the world but when a small item like a zip gets broken they turn there backs on the supposed Patagonia save the planet guarantee..My fishing buddy has had an SST for a number of years as have I but the zipper broke..In contact with Patagonia and surprise surprise they are unable to fix...We will never purchase from the lying Patagonia advertising and we shall never recommend...World's worst customer service...
I just had the best experience with this brand in store. The sales woman who helped my get some things for an upcoming hiking vacation (as a newbie hiker) was so appreciated! Took one star off because one of the items I bought (a fleece) pilled more than expected in the wash, so that product in particular should have come with better washing instructions.
They have lost their way. Crappy products losing quality…. Probably because they spend their money to support terrorists now instead of focussing on their purpose. This company is crap and should be shut down
I own a lot of Patagonia products and I've been happy with them. Most recently I bought the Black Hole MLC Pack from them online which was delivered promptly and has been great. I love the fact that you can buy second hand gear from them, via worn wear. I've tried to buy a three pieces through that. 2 were delivered and one was not (I wasn't charged so its fine). I've also bought a collection of jeans, ski gear, jackets and packs from them over the years mostly through resellers like REI. It's also notable that 1% of sales goes to charity.
I own two patagonia coats, one waterproof and one insulated jacket. Both have lasted several years and are still in great condition. The insulated jacket I sent for repairs after ripping the inside and the cuffs becoming frayed through wear and tear. The repairs were done quickly and my jacket returned to me like new. Excellent value for money!
Patagonia has NO consistency with sizes. One item, a person is a small. Another item, a large. This reveals Patagonia is outsourcing. Terrible consistency. My well known family would buy all the women this product for Christmas. NOT ANY MORE. Jacket was cheap cheap wrong size.
Bought my daughter a Patagonia fleece for her birthday. On the second time she wore it she noticed that there was a hole in the stitching along the hem. Contacted Patagonia and their response was After looking at the pictures of the issue, we would kindly suggest taking your item to a local repair centre, tailor, or seamstress to fix the stitching. Once it has been stitched, all you need to do is send us a copy of the receipt along with your IBAN and BIC code.Once we receive a copy of the receipt from the repair centre and your banking information, we will refund you up to 30.00 GBP for your local repair. When we said that was not acceptable as this is a brand new item and a present they then offered for me to fix it myself and offered a 25% discount item on something else from the store. Not helpful at all. Refused any kind of partial refund. Unacceptable, won’t be buying from them again.
I purchased a men's patagonia torrent shell jacket some time ago and recently noticed the inner lining flaking away, contacted patagonia and was told that this is normal and that the "jacket had reached the end of it's life and need to discards apparently it's normal for a £130 shell jacket to be binned because you say so,what an appalling company,I have purchased many patagonia items over the years, gear mainly but never again, patagonia your customer service stinks!
I purchased gloves from Patagonia in October 2023. Given the mild winter I have only worn them 4 or 5 times. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the stitching near a button hole tag on one of the gloves has come loose. Patagonia have refused to give me a full refund and are only prepared to offer a 60% refund so I can get them repaired myself. I will never buy from Patagonia again.
I placed an order on 9th April. It still hadn’t been sent a week later on 16th April so I followed up and they told me they are experiencing unforeseen shipping delays but it should be sent out by the end of that week. This never happened, and I continued to follow up over the next two weeks. Once again they told me the order should be sent soon and it should arrive by the end of the month. At the time of writing this, on 28th April, it has been a week since I heard anything from the customer service reps, and the order still hasn’t been dispatched. So 20 days after placing my order, still no delivery in sight.
Super massive carbon footprint. We purchased several items that arrived today from Patagonia. We went with this company because it markets itself on the pride of being environmentally aware by claiming that it makes most of its products from recycled materials. Out of the three items that arrived, two were from Srilanka and the other was from Vietnam. We live in the UK!This company is absolutely no different from any other sweat shop cheap labor outlet. Which, considering the jacket alone cost around £300 is an absolute joke. Source locally or don’t bother.
For their mistake, they have no remorse, want you to jump through hoops.I didn't, I got money back no return,as should be,if it's their mistake.they will no longer do business with me.That's just fine,REI,has never led me wrong.Walmart has better costumer service than Patagonia.Never an apology, just bully you to jump through hoops.Worst costumer service ever.they suck.Im so glad they 86 Ed a person who would never shop there again anyway.
I'm generally a real fan of Patagonia clothing and gear. I didn't hesitate to order an item from their website. It came quickly but sadly didn't fit properly. I promptly paid for shipping and returned the item. It's been several weeks and I still have not received a refund. They have the item in their possession for a reasonable amount of time to process a refund but still haven't done it. I would shop elsewhere with better online customer service! I'm very disappointed.
Once this company became popular and trendy among the hippy community, I have the feeling that they shifted their focus from providing the best quality garments for hiking and outdoor activities to making some fancy and trendy pieces of everything that they would sell for an unreasonably high price.Let's be honest, no hiker in the world would spend a fortune to buy a pair of pants that no one would see him wearing in the mountains while having in mind that with one slip he may tear them apart. That's what I am saying, this company’s target customers from hikers switched to hippies. The quality is still good, let's be objective till the end.
They repaired my several years old R1 fleece at their Chamonix shop for free. YES FOR FREE. YES SEVERAL YEARS OLD. I expected to pay something, so I was happy to donate one of the eco charities with my doubled cost expectations :).They refused to repair another piece, but I accepted the reasons they presented. Great to meet people keeping the Chuinard's words :). BRAWO PATAGONIA !
Rarely i give 5 stars but i was treated very well from Patagonia in USA. unfortunatly in europe (italy) the selling system isnt as good as in the States. Thje shop in Santa monica has very good employers.
My fleece arrived stained (a lovely tomato sauce stain on the right sleeve on a £140 item) and visibly worn by the previous customer and then returned and sent to me without a proper quality check. I contacted their “customer service” almost a week ago and have not heard from anyone ever since. Embarrassing. Will not be buying again.
"Hello Johm,I hope you are doing well!I do have tried to call you a bit earlier and needed more information regarding your repair case. You are mentioning 2 shorts in one case. Unfortunately, as it is for 2 items, we do need 2 different cases to take care of them.Thank you to create 2 different repair cases as I will be able to continue further."Misspelled my name, several grammatical errors. Is this seriously the turn Patagonia has taken? I'm waiting weeks now for any resolution and receiving responses like this in the meantime. I'm furious at this point.

“Forced wrong size on me”

You suggest wrong size, give no length in inches,so I get wrong size, and know have to print a label to return.I have no printer, disabled, and have no car to get to place to return. And,now I just want my money back for. 100%patagonia fault, for incompetent web site to order off, let's confuse the costumer.the only resolution, money back,or right size sent to me.no hoop jumping, that's for you.you jump through hoops, you're fault, you're issue to resolve.PS.cant believe the store I loved pulling this $#*!.I won't shop Patagonia ever again, don't need spend money to be forced to jump through hoops. Tip for consumers:They need not give suggestions on sizes, and give length in inches, like pant in America are sold.stop confusing you're costumers, only to,screw there order up.I know my pants size, don't need you to manipulate that, and confuse that, just to purchase a pair of pants, what are you all $#*!ed. “Top Tier All The Way”

Patagonia is an outstanding company for outdoor and adventure wear. Their designs are pragmatic yet hip and attractive. They also sell an extensive line of outdoor gear for camping, canoeing, and such. I bought my parachute cording from them... that is how much I trust them. My SO bought one of their jackets years ago. Eventually the collar frayed, and I repaired it. But when my repair could no longer hold... we sent the jacket back to the company. It came back to us six weeks later in perfect condition. New collar... and at no charge. Their fleeces are epic, I might add. Five shiny rugged stars for Patagonia... you rock!

“Great quality”

I have owned Patagonia vests and jackets for two decades and they hold up like few other items of clothing. The materials, stitching and color retention are all excellent. You get what you pay for, so it's a little more pricey than the competiton, but in this case, you buy once and don't spend on replacements. I like that the company cares about the environment too.

“Very good quality, a bit overpriced”

I was looking for a new hiking vest and came across this outdoor clothing company through my research. I decided to purchase a jacket, pants, and a vest from Patagonia, which I thought was a reputable brand. I love the quality of clothing that I bought from them, it is quite expensive but worth the money. The website is a little bit slow, but everything was good with my order. It fits very well, and I am satisfied with my purchase. Products used:jacket, pants, vest Service Value Shipping Quality

“Dishonest and Money Hungry”

My 200$ jacket fell apart in 3 months. They refused to refund me and despite having a "lifetime guarantee ". They said they would put a patch in it but I have to pay shipping and the turn around time is nearly 6 months! All they are interested in is making a profit. Tip for consumers:It is not wirth the money. Products used:A down jacket Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Horrible Online Experience”

Ordered a shirt for my daughter in November and when it arrived I did not think she would like it. According to the website you can return it to a Patagonia store. In Calgary there is one store so I drove to Calgary and took the train downtown. Walked a few blocks to the store only to hear "Oh no we don't do that no more. Change of policy and blah blah. So I returned to the train and back home. Went on the website to get a return label and it would not work - so I called the company and the service rep said "Oh yea we have a lot of trouble with that. Sorry". So I made up my own label and went to the post office and paid 16 dollars to mail it. About 10 days later I get a credit of 66 dollars. My total I paid was 79 for the shirt and 16 for delivery totaling 95 dollars. So I lost 30 dollars and spent about a full day on this return. I am done. No more online shopping. Totally un-organized

“Outstanding!”

A company with morals & the environment in mind. Great gear, good service. What's not to like? I especially like their stance on saving the planet. It's not just profits for them.

“Great quality, but women's sizing can be unrealistic”

I have many Patagonia fleece and knit jackets, and very few other items of their women's clothing. This is because their sizing can be a bit crazy. Their fit model must have the hips and chest of an adolescent boy, so if you have a womanly or muscular body you may have to order a couple sizes up from your usual especially for things like trousers and then you may experience other fit problems. I gave up on trying to get a good fit on their shorts and trousers, but I do okay on jackets (I am a very tall size 8, and a medium in Patagonia S/M/L clothing). Even then, sometimes a medium Patagonia jacket can be a little snug. Men's clothing seems to fit the same as other clothing lines: my husband takes the same sizes in Patagonia as he does elsewhere. So I dock Patagonia a star for expecting women to be built like teenage boys. But the clothing lasts for years and years, so they get a thumbs up for quality. Order fulfillment can be iffy, especially when you're ordering sale items. However, if you place an order and they find they are out of stock in an item, they will send you an apology and a good discount code for future purchases. They don't fight customers on returns, either. Overall, I'd say they stand behind their products, even if they have an unrealistic image of an adult woman's body.

“Great customer service”

I placed an order but it was later canceled because the-item was sold out. They apologized and emailed me a 50% off coupon. Also additional further customer service was really great!

“Patagonia is a wonderful company”

Your jackets and sweaters ought to be highly recommended. Recently purchased one and was surely satisfied. Thanks a million for your spectacular clothes! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
