Taylia set up a teams meeting, she was early for the meeting, she gave me a detailed explanation of what Pangea is about as well as property investment in Dubai is all about. She had such patience explaining every aspect of investment as well as the property laws even answering every question I had. Taylia Adams is a real asset for Pangea and because of her professionalism and property knowledge, the reason I can see myself doing business with Pangea in the future. I would advise anyone to make contact with Taylia Adams or any consultant. Thank you Taylia for your above and beyond service!!!
I’m in the wilmington building & the management is Horriable ! Not sure what’s the lady name but she’s very rude & doesn’t know how to talk to people . She very inconsiderate & spiteful. Mantance doesn’t fix things right & end up getting broken again & I get blamed for it & wrongfully charged . I explained that my daughter has autism & she was very inconsiderate & told me I might as well move out .
Regardless of the area the apartments should be taken better care of. Numerous screws left behind after move in is unacceptable. Risk being that a child could of have eaten it and harmed him or herself. Painting over the tv and/or cable ports in the bedroom is unacceptable. Paint on the floors is also unacceptable. These are things that should be corrected and will allow the individual and/or family paying for the place to hold more pride and be happier with the product being sold.
If horrible had an entire company attached to it. It’s shameful because they are getting away with the sub par service. The customer service reps are horrible and unprofessional. We were told apartments go on a first come first serve basis so even though you apply for one apartment when it is time to sign the lease there may be a different department they put you in. The only representative that makes any sense and has been helpful was Carmen. The others make you feel as if you are wasting there time. They need to clean house.
Just opened my fridge and saw a dead roach........which inspired me to write this review. Moved in-in early September. Too bad they (actually not they, just K*lly, now I know why she conveniently left her purse at home) didn't warn me about the roach infestation. They're suppose to spray once a week but he's only been here twice. Also, this place is swarming with flies (I've at least 15 in my tiny studio at the moment) due to the maintenance leaving the back door open literally ALL day, mon-fri. Honestly y'all have NO integrity. Shameful.
Finally was able to get ahold of someone regarding a property in western burbs. Young lady was very pleasant over the phone but she threw me for a complete loop. Talking about apartments are first come first serve sent me leasing application told me to send in my $25 security check processing fee. But scheduled my virtual tour two weeks from now. Ma’am you want me to fill out an application and send my money for a apartment sight unseen. After reading some of the comments here, yelp, and etc that’s not right this company taking people money and scheduling a virtual tour for weeks out. In my honest opinion is taking $25 application fees during COVID and don’t have any intentions on showing whatever property they claim to have available.
The apartment is fine. The building is fine. The neighbors are friendly and quiet. But one day while I was home alone with my kids maintenance took it upon themselves to put their key in my door and attempt to open it. Scaring me and my children. The situation could’ve turned out so bad , I could’ve hurt the men thinking they were trespassing. Walking into people’s apartments unannounced is extremely unprofessional and dangerous. It’s an invasion of privacy. I could’ve been undressed , my kids could’ve been walking around undressed. It’s just not okay.
Nice and quiet place, but the leasing agents and the maintenance tech are not helpful. There is still cold air and wind blowing into the living room through some cracks and gaps from the patio door and the entrance door. For sure I’m expecting my energy bill to be higher. For some legitimate requests I made I was told that the maintenance cannot fix them and that I can do it myself. I am somewhat disappointed.
I find it very strange that Pangea requires pay stubs on specific dates and told me I otherwise most likely will not be approved. I sent all pay stubs for the last 60 days but since I do not get paid on the dates they specified, it’s not accepted. This is not explainable and I recommend people not to go with Pangea. Scrolling through the other reviews, I see most people feel the same that I do. They won’t call you if your application is missing something and they tell you when you ask that they won’t call you, you should keep calling in and checking on the status, to be told you are still are missing things. I also see that Pange only responded to the reviews that were positive or semi positive. They don’t bother to try to fix bad experiences.
I've rented with Pangea in the past which is why I came back currently and have had no problems with the rental company. I just wish they had more apartments in better areas of Chicago. The application process is quick and smooth. Apartments themselves are nice and up to date. Them being pet friendly is a plus as well. They also don't charge outrageous security deposits like most other places, and due to them being a real estate company with an actual call center, you can always expect to talk to someone during business hours. Overall good experience.
I love the location of Pangaea parkwest, close to so many known groceries and stores. Nice reception from the agents. The environment is cool with good natural air circulation due to the window arrangements. Most times you don't need an A.C. However I think they should work more on upgrading the in house facilities like the W. C and gas stoves etc and more work on roach issues. If this is all set and done, Pangaea parkwest will be desirous estate.
The manager is terrible at her job. I worked into the office for more than a month for them to attend to me, and even after all the information was wrong and I had to start all the process again cos they made a mistake and this same manager can't apologies but she was being rude and almost walked me out of the office. I cant wait for the lease to be over cos I'm moving out
The behavior of the property managers at this company is out the roof. I overheard an employee stating she is having sexual intercourse with another Property manager in “vacant units”. The property manager who stated this is Ashley Woods. Not completely sure of the other parties name. However, it was unprofessional. She was arguing over the phone with someone bragging about this at my building! This should not be the action of an employee/Property Manager. In addition, her attitude is absolutely awful. I will be posting this wherever I can for the reviews because the bad behavior of the employees are never addressed around here.
When I first moved in the property manager kept up everything he was amazing. Now it's like living in slums. Water damage, caulk on tub falls off, they charge you an outrageous fee any where from $50-$60 and up to replace blinds anything that should be replaced regularly. Took them a year to replace my sink faucet. $20 a key. I have to have my oven pilot light replaced every year around June July. No gate lock to our front court yard makes it easy access to people looking to rob you, if you got away from a domestic violence relationship they can get in to unalive you, easy for kids to be kidnapped if playing in the yard. People bring bugs and rodents. Trash being tossed out windows. Crack heads living in the building shitting in trash cans and dumpsters and around the building. Prostitution going on like $20 hookers selling coochie.

Please don't be fooled by the FAKE CONCERNED RESPONSE FROM PANGEA below.These guys have been dealing drugs here for many years and are acquaintances of NIDIA so she is more than aware of what's going on which is why nothing changes! FIRST OF ALL the complex looks NOTHING LIKE the pictures.ALL OF THE BASEMENTS FLOOD AND SEWAGE (YES SEWAGE, SH**) BACKS UP THROUGH BASEMENT FLOOR.THE PROPERTY MANAGER NIDIA IS THE RUDEST, MEDICATION-NEEDING FEMALE IVE EVER MET, SHE HARASSES AND BULLIES TENANTS BY TOWING THEIR VEHICLES WHEN THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT THE CONSTANT DRUG DEALING AND OTHER ILLEGAL ACTIVITY ..NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE MOVING. Terrible! They lied saying I could use my friends check stubs because I’m a student! They lie to you and tell you there’s no way you check your application you gotta call them, I found my application online, a waist of $100 on a application fee! I had you pay $100 for one application because two people was on it!??? So angry
UPDATE: Today is July 11, 2022. And the residents in my building, floors 1 thru 3, have been without a working kitchen sink since June 24, 2022, due to demolition for the replacement of the water drainage pipe. Meaning, we have to wash our dishes out of our tub where we bath and shower. In addition, we can't cook a decent meal in our kitchen, due to the water damage, mold, & mildew, & the partial demolition that took place in our kitchen's on June 23, 2022. Therefore, we are in need of a new kitchen, that coincide with the expensive rent we're paying monthly. I notify the City of Chicago, on June 28th. I spoke with the supervisor, Mr. Prejo, today, and it sounded like politics. We have been tenants for more than 13-years. And if this happened to us, then this can happen to you, as a tenant of Pangea Real Estate. Tenant's have rights too!
My overall experience with Pangea it’s been some bumps in the road but the almost 3 years we have been here it has been great! Maintenance is also great they fix things in a timely manner no more than a day or two wait sometimes even same day which is perfect! My property manager Jay is also the best even in my heated moments he’s been a big help in many ways. My only objective is staff the turn over and them having the proper training because a lot of times we get the run around depending on what the issue is and they’re lack of knowledge of the job overall I give this property I’m with a 10!
The unit is nice. Shiny hardwood floors, freshly painted walls, clean unit. Modern kitchen and bath just like the ad stated. The only thing is I’m not sure if you replace screen windows with storm windows for the winter.The reason I’m only giving 4 stars is because the management office personnel on 79th and hermitage is horrible. They all need to take an extensive course in customer service. I applied for and apartment with Pangea. I was pre approved. Then I receive and email from Pangea stating we are waiting for a background check. Background check came back fine. Then I received a call from Pangea office asking me to summit my bank statements or currency exchange receipt showing proof of income. I sent my statements off. 3 days later receive a decline letter. In the letter it stated several reason why the application was decline. I called the office no one was able to tell me exactly what the main reason for the decline application. So you take $25 dollars of hard earn money to decline the application. Can you imagine how many application get decline daily. This is horrible. Pangea helping the community. I wish I could give them zero stars...
