pageturner.us: Publishing

As pageturner.us belongs to a dynamic Publishing sector, we tried scraping a paragraph from their website, below:

We believe everyone is born a dreamer, so it has become our mission to give people a shot at their dreams. Thus, in 2016, what once operated as a rebranding institution, we opened our doors to indie authors as a press and media firm. Through our pool of talented individuals, we make sure to deliver what we promise.

While the section above may show pageturner.us’s business, there is a chance that its activities may expand beyond that. Let's look at a review.

pageturner.us Review

The Scam Detector's algorithm finds pageturner.us having an authoritative rank of 58.50. It means that the business is Active. Mediocre. Medium-Risk.

Our algorithm gave the 58.50 rank based on 50 factors relevant to pageturner.us's niche. From the quality of the customer service in its Publishing industry to clients' public feedback and domain authority, we have considered many important details.

Other factors include, but are not limited to, WHOIS details, IP address, Alexa rank, modern technology used for their website, SSL certificate, and presence or absence on suspicious website lists.

What does "Active. Mediocre. Medium-Risk." mean? It is a business that's been online for a while. It seems like pageturner.us has received both positive and negative feedback (occasionally), just like many other websites. That means that you need to exercise caution if you decide to proceed with using it.

The Rationale Behind Our Analysis

You saw a few tabs within the Company Details section, each deserving a thorough examination. These were:

  • Phishing Profile
  • Threat Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Spam Score
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • While some of these aspects may be self-evident regarding pageturner.us, let's now shift our focus to the remaining components.

Risk Evaluation: Threat, Phishing, Spam and Malware Scores

These parameters provide insights into potential vulnerabilities and components embedded within the HTML code of pageturner.us. Their significance escalates when the website has received reports from online users who've encountered unsolicited emails, deceptive advertisements, or unwanted messages associated with the site.

As for pageturner.us, we are currently categorizing it, but we eagerly await your input in the comments section below.

    Malware and Spam Rating Assessments

A high Malware score typically signifies the presence of suspicious code that might unknowingly propagate. Conversely, a high Spam score suggests a potential association with a spam-ridden email address linked to the business. Scores below 30 in both categories offer a sense of security, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns.

Overall, all these scores for pageturner.us are consistent, so there is some medium-risk involved. Therefore, caution is advised if you're about to engage.

    Status of Domain Blacklisting

This term reveals whether pageturner.us has been blacklisted on any online directories and labeled as suspicious.

Proximity to Potentially Suspicious Online Sources

This metric quantifies the degree of connection, graded on a scale of 1 to 100, between pageturner.us and websites flagged as questionable. Higher scores indicate a more pronounced link to these contentious online platforms.

Most of the time, the website owners may not even be conscious of their site's proximity to these dubious servers or platforms. Nevertheless, if the "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score exceeds 80, it strongly implies a high-risk website, while a score below 30 suggests a more benign status.

Evaluating the Security of the HTTPS Connection

This tab provides insight into whether pageturner.us incorporates an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol visible in your browser's address bar. While some individuals may lack an in-depth technical understanding, we won't delve into those intricacies here. If the tab appears in green, consider it a positive indicator.

Let’s continue with fraud prevention tips on blocking all malicious websites, removing all your personal data online, and getting alerts when your data is leaked.

    In-Depth Analysis

Our algorithm focuses on analyzing various factors, with a particular emphasis on a company's website, such as pageturner.us. When assessing websites, we dive into professional details that provide valuable insights into a business's operations, including how they present themselves and their customer service quality. For instance, when evaluating a brewery's website, our assessment doesn't revolve around the taste of their beer; instead, we examine how effectively they market and sell their products online.

It's important to note that our tool is not intended for vanity purposes. If you are the owner of pageturner.us and find yourself dissatisfied with your 58.50 ranking, it's crucial to recognize that your website serves as your digital business card. Therefore, it's essential to consider potential areas for improvement, such as your online management system, ensuring a secure HTTPS connection, and managing your public reviews, as these aspects play a critical role in your online presence.

    1. Re: PAGE TURNER
i received an offer through PAGE TURNER from MACMILLAN – when i contacted Macmillan Ethics & Compliance | compliance@macmillan.com – they wrote:

‘Thank you for reaching out. The email you received is not a legitimate offer of publication from Macmillan. We do not use the macmillanusa.info domain.
      Sincerely,’

Things to watch out with PAGE TURNER:
      1. they will say – they need to rebrand your book so to on sell to a publishing house, saying also, you will earn $150,000+ but you are in competition with other books – so you need to increase sales and obtain reviews
      2. they will request a new ISBN be prepared (and charge you US$850), but will not arrange
      3. they will advise their affiliated book stores will purchase your book (1000s of copies) and yet will not provide a copy of the contract or the list of which store will purchase the books
      4. they will request you pay insurance for to cover the pre purchase of books that are not sold (US$3,000)- they will however not give you a copy of the policy
      5. they will request you pay for three reviews of your book ($3,000).
      6. they will make the above seem so they are doing you a favor

and they will ring constantly including from unlisted numbers

I have been in negotiation with page Turner literary of Chula Vista Ca. An agent of page turner Joel Coglas said he pitched my book’s synopsis to Metro Films director of submissions and adaptations, Mr. Mark Alvarez, Who claims that Metro liked my work and would be willing to pay for the book’s adaptation to screen, however I had to provide a Treatment and script produced and endorsed by the Screen Writers of America guild, because of the length of my book SGA claims they would charge me 156,000.00 to produce the screenplay, Page Turner claims that as a member of the Independent Book Publishers Assoc they are limited by law to only be able to invest 35% of the total cost of production of the screenplay. Metro claims they have one point nine million in escrow to purchase the book’s adaptation and they could only contribute twenty-thousand to the project because I am an independently published author which left me and my industry partner Page Turner quite a few thousand dollars short of the funds necessary to complete the deal, Someone revered in the literary business informed me s that although Mark Alvarez is a director of Metro Films the one that I have been in contact with is probably an impostor, working with Page Turner to fleece me if I could come up with the funds to pay for the screenplay, I understand Page Turner is being sued for two-hundred thousand dollars for failure to provide one of their clients with a treatment and screenplay after his book was supposedly selected for screen adaptation by Metro/pageturner.
      Writers Beware!

    3. II’ve been contacted by Rissa Saberon. She’s one of the best agent I’ve worked with. I’ve been receiving royalties 3 months after the publication of my book, which I didn’t experience from my previous publisher. 5 star for her

    4. I have been approached by Rissa Saberon a representative with Page Turner. She said for Page Turner to promote my book I would have to let Page Turner relicense the book under their what-ever. She wants $150 to do this. Is this on the up and up?

      1. I was also contacted by Rissa Saberon, and while she was nice on the phone, I still had reservations as to whether they were on the up and up. I get plenty of calls/emails regarding my book and fell for a scam the first time by Xlibris. I should have reviewed the company BEFORE they took $150. Luckily, I was able to stop the payment. I sent her an email requesting a stop on all activities to their book proposal.

    5. I’ve been constantly contacted by a Page Turner representative wanting to promote my book. There are books on Amazon with five star ratings. It has a five star rating with facebook and a F rating with BBB. However, there are a lot of Page Turner. It’s a popular name with a history. I’ve been unable to connect which Page Turner on Amazon are connected with.
