While some are self-explanatory concerning openbank.es, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between openbank.es and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of openbank.es. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of openbank.es, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. openbank.es is a questionable website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether openbank.es has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

I mean calling them scammers and thieves is not enough. I have been begging for days for them to let me transfer my money out of the bank and they are not letting me. I have sent every stupid document they asked and then I call in and they are shocked and have no idea what documents I am talking about. Every day they say today we will send your money and then ask me for another document they "forgot" to ask. They are holding my money hostage there is no other way to explain it. The most incompetent sorry group of people ever. Do not ever give your money to this bank.
They are not cooperative. I have a pending transfer for a week. Because of this transfer, they asked for documents that I do not have, and when I speak to them, they tell me that I have to wait more time, and they are still pending.
Again, i come here to write this comment, because i cannot login my account again, it has been more than 1 week since i raised the ticket, but those people cannot give me an explanation but asking me the same questions which i have answered to them by email, it seems they dont check email in time. This bank is full of raciasts, as long as u are not spanish they ban u login without explanation, how can i get my money back?
Bank focused on online canals with some offices in Madrid only. The web portal is good. The support center is competent and very helpful, nice. However, I don't live in Madrid and when I needed to enter in some special processes it became very complex and hard to solve by phone and email : I moved out of the country and lost my "clave de firma" which renders authentification difficult due to security reasons. Knowing online banks, I would say that it is easier when you have one security key and not several keys ("claves") like here.
They dont talk to each other internally, it took me weeks to open my account and i finally gave up. Everytime i called they said oh you need to update your vida laboral, which i did almost 20 times. Bunch of uneducated lot sitting out there.
Update 31 October:OpenBank have resolved my issue and released my funds!I really wish I read the reviews here before I joined. There's been a technical issue where a transfer I sent of €3000 has not been sent to the 2nd account, but it has left my account. So I guess OpenBank have claimed it as their own. I've tried calling so so many times and I'm still waiting for it to be released.
a fraudulent bank. Over 14 months ago, a higher amount was debited without authorisation despite my account being blocked. To date, I have not received any compensation or apology. In this review, the bank always comments that they are taking care of it, but nothing happens. Worst bank experience!!!
It's either account is blocked, or you just can't make a transaction. you have to constantly call them. Always asking for random documents, and then it takes weeks to confirm them. During this time, you don't have access to your money. DISASTER. I looks nore like a scam, not a real bank. I regret not reading the reviews here previously.
unbelievable. this bank allowed these fraudsters to debit a larger amount a few days later, despite me informing them. instead of receiving an explanation from the bank, I was blocked in the call centre. To date, I have not received any compensation or apology. I was only offered an Amazon voucher for €40 for my loss of €1000.01. Furthermore, they had promised me several times that they would take care of it, unfortunately this was 14 months ago. Just keep your hands off this bank.
Terrible their investment bank is a joke, they take nearly a month to execute each investment, use Revolut instead. It's horribly complicated to do anything with a paper based pin sent to your house which you must use for rand transactions. Its wildly complex and not 'digital first' again, use Revolut if you want a proper experience.
I've been a customer for a few years. When you do not need any customer service - the regular bank account works OK.If you need their customer service - it is not helpful at all. Forget about the customer service in English - it is NEVER available. They promise to call back in English, and they very rarely call back. Any changes I wanted to make or new account opening is just practically impossible. It seems that they just ignore your requests...Even going to the actual branch in Madrid makes no sense. On couple of occasions I was there they asked if I made an appointment (a surprise). I had to insist on talking to a representative, but representative was either about to go to a lunch break or was busy with other issue - he advised me to call customer support!Absolutely terrible!Instead of opening a new account I am thinking of closing the existing one...
Their assistance is trash/inexistent/incompetent!They give a bunch of different information every time you call, ask for unnecessary documents, provide erroneous information and make managing your money infinetely times harder and noisier than other banks do.I was out of Spain and needed to access my bank account for an emergency, and it took them 5 calls over 1 week to finally get access back to my account, which seemed to be done in 2 minutes. This shows how unprepared, inefficient and uninterested they are in helping their customers.Would NOT recommend to ANYONE!!!Run away!
Terrible experience. They block you from accessing your own money. Request a non-existent documentsl first, then request another and another and another and weeks pass by without having access to my money. They are thieves, like Icesave in the past. Avoid the troubles this bank will give you. If you are a victim, report them to the Spanish and local central bank. The regulators should protect consumers from these criminals
My experience with this online bank was beyond frustrating. Not only was their support poor, but I couldn't access my account through the app or website as I was travelling abroad. Instead of explaining what was happening, they just kept saying they were "resolving the issue," which clearly wasn't true. It seems like the country I was visiting, Morocco, was simply blocked from accessing the service. This is completely unacceptable for a bank that relies on trust and should be accessible anytime, anywhere.
This is the most disgusting bank I ever saw. You can't do any transactions smoothly - they're randomly blocked and locked without any explanation. It now takes me 2 weeks to wire money to recipient and I'm in need to calling their support DAILY spending HOURS on a line to GET NO FEEDBACK about my case. Such a stupid bank in 2024... Shame on it.
I cant explain why money disappearing from my account. Everyday different value at my account (proved with screen shots), but no difference in transaction history. Customer support does nothing, they are only super nice. I asked few times for a bank statement and my history of transactions and account value but couldnt get it. This is too much for my bank to provide me. Stay away from this bank please!
They have blocked my account and refuse to unblock while I'm outside of Spain. The reason is that I changed 1 setting in the app. I can not access any of my money for 1+ month during my vacation. It's a robbery and spoiled vacations due to the fact that I'm desperately trying to unblock the account and they simply do not care. I have sent them all the documents they requested, but it still blocked and they do not care.
We had 2 issues with this bank in different accounts.First time we opened it, the idea was to have a shared account to be able to pay the rent and bills. We opened it via phone and the lady gave us all the wrong information, allowed me to use my ID that was about to expire, saying it would not be a problem. It ended up being because we could not move the money we had until it was renewed (I told her it would take a month or more to get the new one). We had to close de account after 2 weeks of phone calls to solve the issue and not being able to move our money nor pay our bills.Second time, we had a new roommate opening an account just for him and all is fine until we had to pay the rent (again). Money blocked because still didn't have the key they send by MAIL (and they call theirselves 100% online bank...). This letter still didn't came and we cannot move our money. The customer service, besides trying to helping us, is pretty much useless since they cannot do anything about it.I do not understand how a bank, nowadays, can only send us something via mail and not online or give us any other alternative to no be without our money.
EDIT: they have provided a custom case number to be quoted in response but have not reverted. This is a fraudulent enterprise that needs the critical mass of Ombudsman, BaFin etc complaints to be shut down. Abysmal. A fraudulent withdrawals process works for frivolous amounts as follows: - telephone to block- police report required - template required to be filled out - rejected claim with no clear reason suggesting I file a police report which was required in the first place - they do not review the police report - they unilaterally decide on a negative outcome - you can appeal but the appeal requires telephone verification and we are back to step 1 circular. Took 2 weeks. Hours wasted unless you enjoy bad grammar and chatting to the police. Effectively not an operational bank. Possibly insolvent. Do not keep significant amounts here. IT and opsec porous.
Overall very good account opening experience! I have just recently opened an account here and must say this was a great customer experience. As I am working in the exact same industry I can say with confidence that their account opening process at least for German customers is on point. As I was a bit impatient I called after 2 days to ask about the verification status. Friendly and helpful customer service, accurate and reasonable answers. Overall it took me 7 days from verification to access the Openbank app through fingerprint. Cyber security rating is top notch. I am waiting for the card now but can already transfer and receive money. Also there are no monthly fees that come with the standard package (Unusual when comparing to many other banks out there). As of today I am a happy customer of Open Bank! Only cons here are that the mobile app is not perfect, changing withdraw limits and easy to find price list were not found by me yet.EDIT: I received my card shortly after the account opening, transactions and card payments work as expected. The card and all other policy informations came with professionally packaged. This deserves a 5 Star rating without a doubt. Very happy so far!

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
