officemax.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives officemax.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 82.4. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Reliable. Legitimate. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 82.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to officemax.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Reliable. Legitimate. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a reliable and secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning officemax.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between officemax.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of officemax.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of officemax.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. officemax.com is an innocuous website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether officemax.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether officemax.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, officemax.com.

So, I go online to buy a new office chair, place the order, and head to the store to pick it up. One employee goes to the back to retrieve it but returns to tell me they are out of stock and that it can be delivered by 7 PM that night.Frustrated, I return home and attempt to contact their abysmal customer service, only to be hung up on twice. Determined to resolve the issue, I drive back to the store. A mile from the store, I receive an email stating that they no longer carry the chair. At the store, I get a refund and am told it will be credited to my card within 24 to 48 hours. When that time frame passes without a refund, I call again and am told it will take 5 to 7 business days. That period elapses, and upon calling again, I'm informed it will take 7 to 12 business days. Outraged, I call once more and am told a "check" will be mailed by July 28th. I wait and call after the 28th, only to be told that the store should issue the refund.Returning to the store, now furious, I am told to call corporate and threatened with arrest for trespassing if I return. Speaking with customer service again, they claim a check was issued on July 1st, but it has never arrived.DO NOT SHOP with this company. I went to Staples, and not only did they have the chair I ordered online, but they also delivered it the same day. The same chair this company advertised was at my home two hours later. Now, the customer service rep is allegedly escalating my issue to someone else to locate my check—a blatant stall tactic. I'm supposed to get a call from the escalation team in 24 to 48 hours, another delay to get me off the line. They essentially sold me something they did not have or carry but advertised as available, then refused to return my money. This is fraudulent behavior, plain and simple. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Oregon and my bank. Selling a product you don't possess and refusing to issue a refund is not only unethical but illegal under consumer protection laws. This company’s actions constitute fraud and deceit.
On one hand, I go to Office Depot every time i need office products / supplies lol however. I also hate myself afterword for paying their high prices when i could have bought off amazon for much cheaper
OfficeMax/Office Depot are still around if you're in a major city. Although their prices are a little higher than Walmart, Staples or Target, they often have clearance special out front with some great deals. I bought a great office desk for $90 that used to cost over $400. It had a couple of blemishes, but nothing a marker couldn't cover and was a great find.
Sender falske fakturaer på produkter, der ikke forefindes på hjemmesiden. OfficeMax har konti i Montenegro og deres betalings krav er i euro, men de er lokaliseret i Australien i følge deres hjemmeside. Pas på! Watch out for this company! My Firm is getting bills for products we never ordered. They are located in AUS but are using af Bank in Montenegro! You have to pay in Euros! I´ve serch for the products they claime us for, they do not exist. Strange!
Placed an order and got confirmation on screen. It never sent the confirmation email and when I contacted them, they said that they didn't have the order on their system. However, it is showing on my credit card! Would not trust this organisation again
Went to the Battle Creek location. The lady behind the print counter was rude, I was trying to get help and she kept getting on her phone. While talking to me, she SAT DOWN? I was trying to get color copies and she even looked right at me and yawned. Sheesh....
Very very bad experience for the second time in a year. They tell you to hurry up and place the order and you can get the product the next day. In both cases for me they lied, even to the degree of saying they were at my home for delivery but I wasn't there. Next day? That's a lie! In both cases many days later still no product. The company is a loser, stay away.
I don't mind shopping here if I can find a good deal. Unfortunately those are usually few and far between.
Invoice for product we never ordered
Phishing. Trying to get people to pay for a fake product.

“Worst "service" ever! Sophia needs to be fired!”

The absolute worst customer service I have ever received in my entire 35 years of existence. Sofia, the cashier in the print section in the Garner NC location was incredibly rude. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. Nope, she was even worse today. Have already filed a complaint and won't just let this one go. She instigated an already tense situation. 10/10 she needs to be punched in the face. Sofia, if you see this, please find me, you have all of my information in your system. Call me. Show up. Locate me on Facebook. Whatever your preference. Would love to teach you how to keep your mouth shut. Tip for consumers:Sofia is the worst. Truly. Products used:Printing services Service

“Poor warranty and poor customer service”

Bought two office chairs from Bend, Oregon store. The hydraulic failed on one in less than a year. Called warranty department, the said it would take 10 weeks to get the part replaced, store happened to have one, but was not sufficiently staffed to fix. A large Tip for consumers:Buy from membership store next door. Far better service and warranty. Service Value Returns Quality

“Does anybody work here?”

Just left the OfficeMax in Columbia, TN. Pretty sure there was only one employee working the entire store. Was going to buy a new $400 printer. Waited at the cash register for 15 minutes. NOBODY ever came. The one employee I saw was doing the best she could over in the copy center helping like 3 different people. Me another customer we're waiting at the cash register... no one ever came. Seriously, you've got a 30,000 sq ft store and one person working the whole damn thing. I'll order my printer off Amazon I guess. The Regional VP of operations should be fired. Terrible

“Low inventory and the store is not very clean anymore.”

I try to shop locally but as these young kids come in to run things in our local store. We have low inventory and the store is not as clean as it once. Our store is always low on items and you can't find things you need. That's why I've started ordering online from other companies. Sorry, but you need some people in there that know how to keep stock up and have manners.

“HP color ink for Envy 7640 printer”

I was left on hold X2. Nobody came back on the phone after asking if they had ink in stock. Website malfunctioned X3. I'm surprised this company is still in business. In 60 seconds ordered fro Amazon for delivery to my door in 3-4 hours. OfficeMax? Never again!

“QUICK SERVICE”

I ordered 2 Blodgett single phase convection ovens. Staff and delivery persons were all extremely helpful in assisting me through the shipping, processing, and receiving steps along the way--going above and beyond to give excellent service!

“POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE”

Robert Bass exhibits zero customer service, making empty promises and not responding or following up at any time. Guess the purchase of $4000+ worth of office furniture means ZERO to them! I am very disappointed! He absolutely ghosted me after I purchased SEVEN office chairs, after he said he would make every effort to get a discount approved! Tip for consumers:don't expect Robert Bass to be of any help to you Products used:SEVEN office chairs $500 each Service Value Quality

“Uninformed Mask Nazi. Lost all three of my companies Business.”

Went yesterday into the store at Riverview shopping for software and supplies and was asked to leave because I would not wear a mask. They lost my business yesterday and all my future business. How stupid can the CEO and his employees be?... Do the damn research!

“Horrible Customer Service”

I came in to pick up some laminating I had done. Upon entering the store it was a ghost town. There was no employee in the copy print center. There were no employees at the cashiers area. I finally noticed someone in uniform at the tech solutions area. I asked if someone could help me. She told me I would have to wait. Everyone was on break. Really?!? Everyone goes on break at the same time? She did not ask what I needed or how she could help. She just told me to wait. Not impressed! If I wouldn't have had an order to pick up I would have walked out.

“Great Customer Service”

I was very happy with my purchase of ink cartridges. They gave a 20% military discount. Told us they pay for old cartridges if you bring them in. Always have what I'm looking for. Great staff also. Products used:Printer ink cartridges Service Value Quality

“Do NOT Buy from Office Max!”

We ordered & paid for a Shredder from OfficeMax on on 03/17/22. On 03/28/22 OfficeMax delivered an "Air Purifier." I began calling OfficeMax immediately upon deliver of the wrong item, and 20 phone calls and 15 days later, OfficeMax still has not processed our refund - our order was over $1,400! Every time we call, we are transferred overseas and given a different answer. I have NEVER dealt with such a terrible company in my life! Buyer Beware - DO NOT BUY FROM OFFICEMAX! Tip for consumers:DO NOT BUY FROM OFFICEMAX! Products used:We paid for a shredder ($1,400) & received an air purifier. OfficeMax picked up the air purifier, but has yet to issue a refund. “COMPUTERS ARE LESS BUT OTHER STUFF HIGH RETURNS ARE IMPOSSIBLE, COUPONS STINK”

I SHOP MY LAPTOP THERE WHERE IF YOU WAIT FOR A SALE THEY ARE LESS THAN ALL OTHERS. OTHER ITEMS ARE VERY HIGH PRICED. BROKEN COMPUTER OUT OF BOX WAS VERY HARD TO GET REFUND. COUPONS ARE NO GOOD ON ANYTHING GOOD, EXPIRE TOO FAST TOO. GAVE ME 24 HR 20.00 COUPON BY EMAIL- I GOT FOR ORDER NOT BEING READY ONTIME. GO TO USE IT AND NOT GOOD ON A LAPTOP. PRICE MATCH TO THEIR OWN STORE MADE ME RETURN THE ITEM AND REBUY ONE!. LAST BROKEN ONE WAS NOT ON SALE SO THEY WOULD NOT SWAP IT OUT. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE STORE AND ONLINE ORDERS ARE DIFFERENT FROM STORE SO IF YOU BUY ONLINE DON'T PLAN TO GET HELP IN STORE, BUY IN STORE FORGET ONLINE HELP. 3 TRIPS I HAD TO MAKE OVER ONE ITEM.

“Once I used this www.officemax.com for purchasing some...”

Once I used this www.officemax.com for purchasing some items for my office. They are having variety of items in stocks. But the problem is very costly than other sites and even shipping is getting delay. I fund other site that delivering products with very low cost than this site.

“I ordered some office products from OfficeMax and it...”

I ordered some office products from OfficeMax and it take a week in shipping after than i came to know they are charging a lot for shipping rather than other site, but products were great but i will not grant you more than 2 stars.

“Low!”

They have gone downhill in a hurry. Please have the lowest expectations for this company. They used to compete well with Staples.com but now they don't.

“Mixed feelings”

On one hand, I go to office max every time i need office products / supplies lol however. I also hate myself afterword for paying their high prices when i could have bought off amazon for much cheaper

“Decent office supply store”

I wish they were closer, so more locations would be great, but other than that they are a nice alternative to the others.

“No top-level SSO support in 2016”

Another antiquated business that needs you to create yet another marginal internet account instead of using top-level single sign on SSO providers e.g. Google, Facebook

“Very bad service.”

Very bad service. I order one chair one month ago. I never received it. I have called 3 times, and no feedback at all. Service Value Shipping

“Credit card returns”

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
