odeon.co.uk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives odeon.co.uk a fairly high trust score on the platform: 80.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Fair. Valid. Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 80.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to odeon.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning odeon.co.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between odeon.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of odeon.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of odeon.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. odeon.co.uk is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether odeon.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether odeon.co.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, odeon.co.uk.

I need a viewing that is Captioned (Subtitled). I cannot find it on the website. I find other Accessibility services offered (wheelchairs, AD). The FAQs say use the Filter, but I cannot see it. So I phone them, but the phone just pushes you back to the website. I then use Live Chat, but the Live Chat is a very poorly trained AI and cannot understand the question. Now it seems that I will never be able to see a film at Odeon ever again. V poor indeed. Pity, the local staff (Orpington) try hard.
Where do I begin?? I raised several requests with the events team and never got a response. When I spoke to one of their team on the phone about this, they promised to expedite my query but again I never heard anything back. Having spoken to a duty manager at the Tunbridge Wells branch who promised to get back to me with a response to my very specific request, came back to me with a very generic reply. I emailed them back to ask for a specific answer and again I got no reply.Customer services staff by email or by phone don't actually know what it takes to achieve great customer service, and they certainly don't think 'outside the box'. I do not appreciate being lied to by a duty manager - he must have laughed at us behind our backs after we met him in person. We walked away thinking we had finally got somewhere with our enquiry, and instead it was a waste of time. What's worse is that when I have raised this concern with Odeon, they stick up for the duty manager and make no reference to any of the points I wanted addressed. They don't seem too fussed that they have managers that lie to their "valued" customers. It's no wonder that cinemas are failing to stay open. Increasing prices aside, their staff are simply there to get paid, not to give a great experience to the public.
Kingston Odeon - quiet weekday afternoon and the foyer is a disgrace. Floor disgusting, nowhere CLEAN to sit. Staff standing around chatting. Here’s a good idea, get a broom, sweep the floor maybe? Clear some tables maybe? Pick up some rubbish? Disgusting.
Sorry, you have been blockedYou are unable to access odeon.co.ukIt seems they have made it impossible for me to access their website.
Often visit the odeon Dorchester. We normally go on a Tuesday or Wednesday we are pensioners and use our merkat two for one code. We often go around 2pm but get a little confused with the pricing. One week it's six pounds and another week it's ten pounds for two tickets. The till staff couldn't explain why the difference prices. The staff are very friendly and the venue is lovely just get confused with prices.
It's very expensive. There wasn't a working coffee machine and 2 bottles of Dr Pepper cost me over £6.00. Before the film started we had to sit through over 20 minutes of adverts.
Cinema like an oven.. no aircon, endless ads... not a great experience.
We had limitless membership , easy to setup but impossible to cancel and it’s a week still trying to contact them for cancellation which they refer us to a busy call centre only working from 10:30-16:30 which I’m at work and cannot hold the phone for hours . Also cinemas are not as well maintained as it should be .
Holly on twitter helped contact the local odeon when I couldn’t to help me find a really sentimental hat I had left behind in a late night showing. Thank you so much Holly 🌸
So far I’m trying to book a film but I can’t watch any trailers as they’re set to silent with a cross in front of the mute button so you can’t switch the volume on. Changing screen direction doesn’t help. So hard just to find a film to watch. How incompetent.
had a question about whether we could wear facepaint as we were aware of some cinemas not allowing facepaint but the member of staff on the live chat on the site was cooperative and even called ahead to the specific cinema to find out for us if we could wear it to the particular venue, excellent experience
Don't bother with My limitless plus membership. You still have to pay £3 to watch a Dolby film.I wanted to see "A quiet place" today a day one release of a new film. The only showing for isense at Birmingham Broadway Plaza was for 11.20pm. This is a new film and this is the best you can do?Quite frankly ridiculous management of the film showings. Most of the isense is for "inside out two".....
hello, I recently came in with my two 14 year old cousins (I’m 15) and they charged us all adult tickets (£15.99 each.) bearing in mind we had no money for food after, and refused to give us our 10 pound back since we had already watched the movie and didn’t realise before hand . don’t recommend. Staff were quite obnoxious, and had no respect for customers.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR MYLIMITLESS. Signing up is easy enough, but you just can't cancel your membership on their website. You have to fill in a form to request the cancellation, as if I need their permission to cancel.
Website a nightmare. Grubby loos. Almost always bitter cold - cancelled my Limitless subscription because of this (many other customers also said "cold" and "freezing") with everyone keeping their coats, hats and scarves on. Had to leave a few times it was so cold. Bland and dreary interior environment. Only two seats in the foyer so if you're early you just have to stand around waiting. I avoid visiting Odeon and fortunately, in London/Surrey have plenty of other options - Curzon, Everyman, Vue, Cineworld, Picturehouse, Olympic and other independent cinemas.
The cinemas in London are very good I find and the staff have always been excellent. The website is appalling. It cannot be just me. You can never get in with the Edge browser and now Chrome browser seems to be going the same way. I did think seriously about downloading Firefox browser to see if that worked but I thought how far can this go. I can only assume the staff are working from home and not keeping the website up to any standard
Disgraceful customer service at Leeds Thorpe Park the manager is rude and obnoxious and goes out of her way to make children cry. Odean customer service is an issue and we have now cancelled 4 limitless memberships so bye Felicia!
The Odeon in Tamworth, allow their staff to approach and abuse small disabled children. When challenged, they offer a free voucher, despite the Autistic child now too traumatised to go again. When informed of this, they deny any wrong doing and then simply ignore any further complaints on the matter. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. They should be sacked and locked away.
Took kids to see Migration which was set for 6pm. For some bizzare reason, was forced to watch 45 minutes of adverts including a very boring 20 min film. By time we got to watch the actual film we wanted, we were bored s****less . I totally get the adverts, but an additional 25 minutes lf a film beforehand we didn't ask for, ust wasn't for us. Can't even pop out to watch a movie these days without additional marketing being rammed down your throat. Oh and the additional £5 for a bottle of water.... we won't be back.
Absolute scam artists. Paid for my ex wife’s card and notified them we had separated last November and wanted to stop the payment coming off my card. Took an eternity to respond to several emails then said she would have to contact to cancel and have continued to take money from my account for 5 months. Now had to cancel my credit card and have a new one issued to stop them taking the funds. Absolute 0 for customer service. Knowingly committing fraud.

“Good experience overall”

In the age of digital downloading Cinema's have become more competitive with each other and this is definitely a good thing if my recent experience with this company is anything to go by. Odeon has a good website, not the best to navigate but still a good website that showed all the latest films, upcoming films and trailers. Finding a local cinema was easy as was booking/choosing seats and paying tickets on the final page. Something else that was right up my street was the special offers (you will have to sign up to the newsletters for all the special offers but it's worth it). I ended up seeing 3 of the latest big movies in one week and my total expenditure came to a total of £10. I would also like to add I am in no way affiliated with the company and if they drop their standards I will more than happy to let you all know with an update.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
