Shocking. So the wrong size was sent at a cost of over £70 and it cost over £20 to return the item and I am still waiting for the £52 two months later. They keep trying to offer me discounts and delaying.Don’t waste your money. Plenty good British companies produce breathable warm dry kit why throw your money away to a Canadian company that is not bound by a U.K. consumer agreement.
The trousers arrived on time and as promised but… they are made of a material that is water resistant but feels like wearing a wetsuit. The first time you get warm they don’t breath and you sweat horribly. They were very uncomfortable very quickly.
I ordered $600 worth of Christmas gifts on November 28. No sign of the package. i have emailed numerous times and each time they send me a new tracking number. When I contact the shipping company, they have not received the package. Essentially, they are making fake shipping labels from their office. I have asked for a refund and to cancel my order. although they have no idea where my "items" are they refuse a refund. It is now Dec 16th and no idea where my package is and I am $600 poorer. You can not leave a google review on their site. I do not believe this is a legitimate company at this point.
Response to company's comment:My dad ordered my pants through his account, which is why you can't find me under this email. There is nothing you can do, other than return my dad's money. You are sending items from China, yet you are a Canadian company. You could at least have a warehouse in Canada so that items don't jave to go through customs when shipped.How can anyone run a competitive online business today by shipping items in the cheapest way possible that normally results in 3-4 week delivery times? Add to that Canada's current postal workers strike and I am going into the 3rd month of waiting for it to arrive. It appears that this winter may be over before I'll get it, providing that I get it at all. Many customer comments reflect on these horrendous Northbound Gear shipping practices and considering their time stamps, the company hasn't been doing much to address this issue. I will never order from them again, even if they provide the best quality and price in the world. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere if you plan to enjoy you purchases.

Recently purchased two pair of the waterproof Explorer pants - in black and grey. I've worn them on several hikes and found them to be extremely comfortable! They have excellent stretch and are warm and waterproof. From the quality of construction, I expect these will last me a very long time!You can see how they repel water in the video. They're lined with a very soft felt and are very smooth against your skin. The pockets are very roomy and also lined with the same soft felt so will help protect a phone or anything you place in them.
I ordered pants and they provided fake shipping details as I went to my local post office and they said the sender never sent the item or arranged for pickup with courier. It prompted me to go online and read a ton of other people sharing their similar experiences. Went contacted, the company said they were working on getting me my item however I have never ordered clothes from a company who personally writes you emails promising for something to happen. At first I was not sure what to expect. I'm not into spending a lot on hunting gear. After a few months of hard weather hunting, I know I will not wear anything else. The adventure pants are incredibly comfortable. Warm but somehow breathable at the same time. I have never over heated. I was disappointed the knees where not slightly padded but the construction of the knee is extremely durable and I haven't thought about padding at all. The pockets are excellent and the material is quiet. I would highly recommend and will be looking at further items in the future. Bonus for me is that they are a Canadian company. E-mailed about shipping times and received a response very quickly. Well done.
This company has provided me with pants that actually prove the test of time. I recently ordered the same pants after over 4 years of using the original pants over and over. And I plan to keep using the original pants. Its very difficult to find weatherproof, wear proof, breathable yet resistant products. Its worth the cost, and honestly they should be renamed the unbreakable. When its sleet, firm snow, or just a cold rainy day out on the trail, I immediately use these and almost always just them. If its super cold, some thermal leggings fit perfectly within them. Highly recommended.

The stitching did start to split after barely three months of non-strenuous use, which is unfortunate, but the materials are quality so hopefully it's just a one-off problem. I received 2 pieces of clothing from Northbound.Adventure pants and a summer cooling hoodie.Both served their purposes with great efficacity.Personally for the adventure pants I would've loved another color combination but the performance is still there.I had some great time with it.Same thing for the hoodie.I was not looking to hike the Everest, just your casual run in nature.They truly fulfilled that desire of mine.
I recently bought the black women's "Adventure" water resistant high waisted pants. They are PHENOMENAL! I originally bought the size 8s, however had to exchange them for a size 6. So consider "downsizing" one size, if your usual pants/slacks/jeans are a size 8. They are warm, windproof, comfy, not bulky, and in addition to wearing them on those chilly dog walk days, they can also be worn at your place of work, as you race from your parked car to work on those -25 C windy days!
My pant order allowed me to get the right size as it pertains to waist and inseam so, zero altering needed which is great. Zippers on the pockets are excellent quality, even with winter gloves on the slide up and down easily, helps when in a hurry. The best part is the lining in the pant, very warm outside and inside you dont heat up at all. My new favourite pants for hiking, lounging and just walking around.
Fabulous trousers and exactly what I need as a pro wildlife photographer in the highlands of scotland. Waist a little larger than expected, but the elasticated waistband does make them significantly more comfortable when contorted on the beach. Early days, but the seem extremely well made with good quality fabrics, so should stand the test of time.
I am a tall woman with a smaller waist, and finding really functional, high quality, well thought out winter clothing can be a challenge. I live in the Rockies of Colorado, with long winters, so pants like these are an exceptional find for functional fall/winter outdoor lifestyles. The zip around the ankle is perfect for the various boots I wear, and the warm fleece lining is so warm, yet not bulky at all! They are comfortable, and the tall option is the most perfect fitting pant I have found! Five stars all the way around~

I've been wearing Northbound Gear's "Adventure" pants for several years now. The materials and quality are top notch.They're flexible, fit well, and truly weather resistant. The company has an uncanny ability to design well fitting and in fact quality tailored gear which for outdoor clothing is not always the case. Just follow the measurements that are provided and without fail the clothing fits perfectly. I am a 5 foot 10 woman and have trouble finding pants that fit well. The adventure high waisted water resistant pants tall and the lighter weight V2 Explorer summer pants fit very well. My son recently bought the men's adventure water resistant pants to his first pair of pants which are the waterproof jeans. Both have a reliable fit and work well with the mens Apex waterproof jacket which he says is the warmest and most useful outdoor jacket that he owns. I recommend Nortbound.

Sadly paid over 300 for three pairs of pants and ordered based on their size chart. I didn't think the return policy for such expensive items would be such crap. I could not even get my calf through the pants. The pants must have been sized for Asia, who knows. Now I have to pay the return shipping from the US to CA. The water resistant women's pants are super comfy and warm. They fit perfect! I ordered a men's pair but they were too big. I sent them back for an extra exchange. Love the pants, great fit, great look. Definitely need to wear the pants with a belt though. The elastic waist is great for comfort but can ride down when bent over. Constant email and marketing can be less. So many specials, and discounts its hard to keep track of whats a good deal or not. The more marketing that gets sent out, the faster it gets read and deleted maybe to my own detriment.. Ordered two pairs of adventure waterproof trousers, one was too big so sent back and reordered a smaller size - new trousers arrived and are much better fit - product appears very well made and of really good quality. We ordered pants on December 6th and paid for them on our credit card. We received a confirmation from the company as well as a USPS tracking number. The Receipt touted Delivery " ... in the next 4 days." The package ostensibly arrived in NYC on December 11th. We live on Cape Cod so I'm curiously as to why they would have their shipping department send it to NYC. Until this morning the USPS was waiting for delivery to them. My wife called Customer Service at Northbound (in Canada) last week and they were not at all helpful. Here we are on Christmas Eve without an important gift that we ordered in early December and its not here. So although we can't comment on the quality of the clothing, we wish to warn our fellow outdoor adventurers that Northbound Gear's logistics is a substantial weak link in their total product offering; given that they claim to be Customer Services oriented. p.s. Just checked the USPS again and finally the package was delivered to them this morning (12/24, not 12/06) and we have a projected Delivery Date of December 28th.
