Is nordnet.no Legit?

I have been using their services from few years and never face any big problem which couldnt be addressed easily. Money transfers, auto debit and investing, all works as they are supposed to work.

I have been a customer of Nordnet since 2014/15. Now in 2023 I have been trying to withdraw my money and transfer it to my accounts in SEB and it is impossible. For over a month I have sent numerous messages through their messenger service and their robots regurgitate the responses of everyone before them. I spoke with someone at customer service who could see that there was a problem. They promised to speak with their IT department to see if they could transfer the money manually and that they would then message me through the messenger service. No response since, and my money is still stuck. It's unacceptable and Nordnet have not supported me to retrieve my money. Take your business to Avanza or any other competitor instead and don't waste your time here.

I opened an account in June 2020 and sent money to my new opened account, but it turned out I had gotten wrong information about deposits. My money landed in another person's accont. 2 months later they have still not been able to return my money.

Make no mistake, this is not a good company by any means. My rating of Average is based on the fact that they are still ahead of their competition, which says a lot about other companies offering broker services in Norway.Nordnet merged with a far better company some years ago to become the leading digital platform for savings and investments in the Nordic countries, but somehow managed to throw this company's user-friendly interface overboard to keep their own inferior one. Amazingly, they still have the best platform for non-professional investors. It is, however, not good, just "better".Although very expensive, Nordnet does not offer decent tools for technical analysis, and there are very few indicators to choose from. You have to pay for real time stock quotes from most markets, and there are very few markets to choose from (USA, Germany and the Nordic countries). Fortunately, you are able to open different accounts, and you can show or hide them as you wish. By all means, open a foreign currency account if you want to trade outside of Norway! Nordnet's currency exchange rates are insane, as are their brokerage fees. In total, cost-benefit wise Nordnet is a disaster. You really do not get what you pay for. They only keep growing due to lack of competition.Mistakes are frequent on their platform. Last week my portfolio was slightly down, but according to Nordnet +107%. These kinds of errors happen frequently (google "Nordnet" "feil"). One thing the people at Nordnet are really good at, though, is blaming external factors. In addition, users are never compensated or credited, even if we cannot log onto the platform for hours, thus potentially losing money by the minute.The user interface is quite clear and transparent. Nordnet still party like it's 1999, though. Not much innovation or development, but personally I quite like the simplicity. Shareville is a fun feature. Here you can read what complete amateurs think of a given equity, which mostly leads nowhere, but is good for a laugh, especially when desperation sets in after a large drop and bullish amateurs try to "talk the price back up". Trying to discuss on a more professional level is futile, though. Fortunately, there are at least two other social networks for equity trading in Norway which are far better, although expensive if you want the full features.On a very important note, please be aware that you cannot place a sell order above a certain level, even for volatile stocks (like penny stocks). I am not sure where the limit is percentage wise, but it is quite low. I have tried on many occassions to place sell orders several months into the future which have been declined by the platform. In my opinion, you should be allowed to set your price without limitations.Anyway, I could have written a 10,000 word thesis on Nordnet based on their flaws alone, but conclusively, it is the best investment platform for Norwegian retail investors at the moment, which says a lot. Hopefully, someone will pick up the gauntlet. We deserve better!
