Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 69.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to nextcarrental.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning nextcarrental.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between nextcarrental.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of nextcarrental.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of nextcarrental.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. nextcarrental.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether nextcarrental.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether nextcarrental.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, nextcarrental.com.

I rented a car online with NEXTCAR and it was an unmitigated disaster from the moment I got to Orlando Airport. I waited at the "shuttle" for over 30 minutes, then it took an additional 20 minutes to get to the NEXTCAR lot which was many miles from the Airport. Once I got there, I was told to present my "Insurance Declaration Page" which I don't travel with. I was not instructed to bring it with me when I booked this car. Therefore, I was told I had to pay an additional $28/day for insurance. This is a SCAM!! Steer clear of this company as there is nothing but BAD REVIEWS for this CHEATING COMPANY!!! I hope you go out of business and lose millions and millions of dollars!!
Terrible experience. Rented a car through Expedia for one day. They tell you they are charging a $250 security deposit that will stay on your credit card for up to a month. It's been over a month and the charge is on my card. I tried calling the company about it and you get directed to a message that says to email them about your security deposit. I'm guessing they have this problem often if it's a choice on the phone menu. I emailed them and never heard back at all. I'm having my credit card company dispute it.
SCAMMERS! STAY AWAY!!! Regrettably I'm not able to give 0 stars! They lure you into an online PREPAID contract with very competitive price but , when you get there , they use any possible trick to scam you : "contract has been cancelled", "computer down" , "car is not available" , etc. and , trying to sell you a new contract at double the price . They won't allow you to use your Sunpass and , push you to purchase their Sunpass at $25 per day! They won't accept your insurance , unless you show the "declaration page" with a 100-300-100 coverage and , try to fit into the agreement other useless/expensive items. After more than one hour at the counter , you have to threat them to call the Police to get your contract respected. Clerks barely speak English an are very very slow , rude and arrogant. They even tried to charge me a $500 "additional deposit" ! Customer service after 35 minutes on the phone is inexistent!
I should have read reviews before I rented from them. Customer services personnel were no help when I tried to alter my daily into a weekly. Was told by manager after the fact that I could have come in to adjust it. Never received a receipt till I requested it a week later. Have rented from them in the past but service this time was sad.
Stay away. 6 weeks has passed and still haven’t gotten my $ 250 deposit back. 6 emails and 4 phone calls . Still haven’t heard from them.
I rented a car using the Economy Booking site for a NextCar Rental in Aguadilla Airport, Puerto Rico. Unfortunately I paid in advance, for a 2 week car rental and I also paid for the various car insurance add ons. The attendant in the NextCar facility was absolutely useless, he told me I did not have any car insurance paid. He said it would be an additional $500. So I canceled my reservation. PLEASE WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DEALING WITH EITHER NEXTCAR or ECONOMY BOOKING YOU WILL ONLY BE SORRY!!!!!!
This company is a scam. We rented a car in Romania from them through Expedia. We also purchased Expedia's recommended car insurance. Nextcar charged us an additional $3,000 for insurance we had no idea we had to pay. Other car companies in Romania include it in their price. We have tried to get the car company to get our money back, but they refused. We've been dealing with our credit card company to reverse the charges, but it's been two months and we're out $3,000. Stay away from them. They advertise low prices, then charge ridicolus insurance fees.
BE WARNED DO NOT RENT FROM NEXT CAR RENTAL. ITS A SCAM!!!! THEY QUOTE YOU ONE PRICE AND CHARGE YOU DOUBLE IN FAKE EXTRA INSURANCE. DISGUSTING! THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL.
Rented a car in TPA with Nextcar with no problems until 2 days after the return when they added on a late return fee of 150.00 the problem is i took a video with the date and time stamp as well as have plane tickets showing we were on a flight at the time they say our car was returned. I will be calling the risk damage dept first thing in the am and fighting this BS fee! If you are using this company be aware and make sure you video tape your pickup and return! I will follow up on review after it is resolved!
I had my wallet stolen 8 days before our trip to St. Martin. I was panicked as none of the major rental companies would allow me to use one of their vehicles without a credit card. After a deposit and purchasing full coverage, your company allowed me to rent a car and saved our vacation. The car was new and had 4100 miles on it when we got it. Perfect condition.
Very surprised. The level of service was excellent and professional, albeit there was a 30 minute wait in the queue. Car was as advertised. Fees were explained in detail. Return was lengthy (did an over/under examination top to bottom while I waited). Overall, very pleased. I suggest reviewing the insurance fee structure. If the insurance were not so egregiously priced, I would have opted for it. But not at the quoted daily prices.
Easy pickup, easy drop off. Trouble free. Just one suggestion. We arrived too late for our pickup and had to come back the next day. When I called to ask for directions I asked what the directions were since we would be arriving by car. The only directions that were available were from the terminal, which cost us an extra 20 minutes. It would be super simple, now that we know, to let customers know that they can proceed right to the rental car center rather than the terminal.
NextCar service represenitives were straight to point, and professional when providing the service you need for your rental. Unlike some other rental companies, they don't give you the run around for just trying to rent a car! They got my money every time.
Facility at LAX is horrible and unsafe. The only restroom is a port a potty down an alley. The car was returned to 5th floor of parking garage as instructed. No elevator available to go down 5 floors of stairs. The garage is unsafe with crumbling concrete with no organized car return.
The customer service agent was truly helpful. He went out of his way to help get me in a car at reasonable rate. My flight was delayed arriving and another rental company had left for the day, and I was unable to get the car I had reserved. The agent did a great job and I will continue to rent from you every chance I get. Wish you had more locations and great job of having great customer service people.
I had a TERRIBLE experience in Iceland renting with this company. We bought the premium coverage insurance, but they never explained to us that damage caused by the wind when opening the doors (very common in ICELAND) was not covered.Indeed, when opening the door at a gas station, the wind pulled the door and slightly damaged the front bodywork. The car we rented was very small and old (with more than 200,000 kms) and the damage was minimal. Even so, they charged us 2,200 EUROS. When that ridiculous car is not even worth 5000.Be very careful with these CHEATERS!!!!!!Never rent from another BRAND with NEXT..
Everything went very well, however, one needs to work with whoever picks up the phone. They did not work well with customer service at all. When I informed the phone person I had a crisis and was coming a little later than an hour past my pick-up time they said I would be a no-show. So, lie and say you will arrive as late as possible without being charged for an additional day when picking up and leaving it back at the car rental facility! My plane was delayed an hour and a half beyond my control. They caused unnecessary stress. The actual people checking you in were great!
It was deceiving paying an amount through Expedia and when you get to the counter they charged me over $400 aditional. Insurance was $250 which that was expected. At any given point the reservation at Expedia mentioned the extra charges. When picking up the car they gave me a car that was not in good conditions and I had to ask for it to be changed. The Kia Sportage that they finally gave me, same day the check engine turned on. That was another adventure, plus the car sas given to me with 30 miles of gas and returnd with a full tank and no credit was given to me.
Almost ruined our perfect trip. So so very rude. Just did not care about their job at all. The folks in front of us waited almost 3 hrs for their car and the employees were so unprofessional. So much bad attitude when we picked up and dropped off. Will never Ever use this rental company again
The customer service staff was great. The ladies at the Tampa airport counter made a real effort to help. However, the overall experience was diminished by extra fees and manual checkout process. Also, the car was not very clean when we received it.

“Scam! Overcharged, fees, and horrible check in”
I could write paragraphs upon paragraphs about my horrible experience with this business but here's the summary: 1. Waited 2 hours for airport shuttle to take us to off-site car agency. 2. One agent working, 2 hours just to get to front of the line. 3. Would not give me anything in writing showing contract. Had no idea about all the hidden fees I am reading about on these reviews. 4. One person working to bring cars back and forth, another hour waiting 5. Upon drop off, I asked where to sign for release and was told there was no one available. It was 5 am and my flight was for 6:30 so I trusted the system, left keys in car as instructed, and left for flight. NextCar/Priceless overcharged $163, stating that the car was returned 3 hours late even though I was mid air 3 hours later. 6. One month later, I am disputing with CC company. Will contact BB Agency Tip for consumers:Stay away from Next Car/Priceless Car rental
“Beware Beware Beware!”
Christina S. 1 review Rated 1 out of 5 stars Aug 29,2022 BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE FRADUALANT & THERE CUSTOMER SEVICE IS HORRIBLE. THEY HAVE LONG WAITS FOR A REP. AND THEN HAVE THE NERVE TO HANG UP ON YOU BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT OT HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. WHERE DO I START, 1) LIED ABOUT EZPASS AND CON YOU INTO SERVICES THAT YOU DON'T NEED. 2) DENIED US A RECEIPT, SAID THEY WOULD EMAIL IT TO US AND THEY NEVER DID. 3) CAR WAS VERY DIRTY AND THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS. 4) MORE DISTURBINGLY, THEY TOOK PAYMENT TWICE OUT OF OUR BANK ACCOUNT. WE HAD TO CALL THEM EVERYDAY ONLY TO GET DIFFERENT EXCEUSES AS TO WHY THEY TOOK OUR MONEY, NEVER TAKING OWNERSHIP FOR THERE MISTAKES. AS A RESULT, IT PUT OUR BANK ACCOUNT IN AN OVERDRAWN STATUS. OUR BILLS THAT WE HAD PAID PRIOR TO VACATION WERE BEING CHARGED LATE FEES. WE HAD TO ASK OUR BANK TO INTERVENE. IN ADDITION, BECAUSE OF THIS WE HAD NO ACCESS TO OUR FUNDS, CAUSING US HARDSHIP ON WHAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A RELAXING VACATION. WHAT IT TURNED INTO WAS A VERY STRESSFUL NIGHTMARE. THEY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS AND FULL BLOWN INVESTIGATION SHOULD BE WARRANTED ON THIS COMPANY. I WARN YOU NOT & I MEAN IT DO NOT RENT FROM THIS CAR RENTAL AGENCY!.

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
