Is newkadampatruth.org Legit?

When the kadamptruth site came out and there were some bad reviews initially written by ex members survivors and victims of the organization, the management urged the members online to flock to the Trustpilot site and leave raving, 5 star reviews to bring up vote. Ironically the kadamptruth website has been offline now for many months which is all for the better as i think it was deeply embarassing for the organization but one still wonders why NKT management decided to take the site down. The project of interviewing survivors of this fake buddhist cult is ongoing however, and you can see and hear the interviews on YouTube, Facebook and Spotify, just search for "Exposing the New Kadampa Tradition". Unfortunately the raving reviews here won't change the NKT and transform it into a caring humane organization from a money grabbing highly problematic cult. One day all of the issues sex abuse and scandals that are covered up will come out, investigative johrnalists in the UK and Spain are at work. Until then anyone interested in the spiritual path is better off just googling stuff at home rather than joining the NKT. Your life savings, self esteem, job, relationship with family and friends might very well be at stake.

I am extremely grateful that our kind Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche has created the New Kadampa Tradition, IKBU and has sent a Teacher to the Netherlands 31 years ago where I connected with the Kadampa teachings. Buddha’s Mahayana teachings have helped me tremendously in developing a kind heart. (Work in progress… ..) For many years I was looking for the meaning of life. I found it in the teachings of Buddha presented perfectly by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. After attending a Spring Festival at Manjushri KMC in North-West England, I decided to always make effort to receive teachings from Geshe-la.I've never read anything so meaningful or seen someone so wise, yet humble.

I love the teachings, the spiritual community and the kind, compassionate teachers. Geshe-la has done an amazing job of making Buddhas teachings clear, practical and applicable to life's daily challenges. His books are a gem, clearly written and empowering. I can't imagine my life without the Dharma and Geshe-la has brought that to me. I'll be forever grateful.

I first began going to meditation classes at the Kadampa Meditation Centre in Liverpool in February 2010. I found something which was missing in my life. A place of refuge where I could study Dharma books, learn to pray & learn to contemplate & meditate and have the support & love of a community. As a result of practicing Buddha’s teachings over the years I have changed internally. I am able to turn problems around and view them as challenges to be worked with.

This tradition is beautiful . What Geshla has given us is unbelievably beneficial in this modern world , he worked tirelessly to bring the ancient teachings into this modern world and translate them in away we can understand them. My local centre is a little haven in amidst the turbulence of city life , without the Sangha my life would, with out doubt be much poorer . These ancient teachings are to be treasured , and if you are lucky enough to come across an NKT centre please pop in you will not regret it , it will Transform your life .

I have seen the manipulation tactics of the NKT up close. They destroy lives and enforce groupthink. Any dissent is met with swift response. This new website is just another way to try and deceive the public, I'm glad the BBC have started covering them.Their attitude towards other Buddhist traditions is very negative and their opinion of the Dalai Lama is alarming.

Can’t fault the NKT in the end it depends on your personal view for me I am a happier person for having these teachings in my life. I am happy to pay as this helps the centres to stay open so others can hear these practical and beneficial words of wisdom to become happier and stronger and heal. These centres are a heart of compassion in this turbulent world. Long May they flourish to help people if the modern world.

I have been goung to NKT centres and teachings for over 20 years. The centres as well as Geshe La's books are a wonderful resource in the middle of a busy life. The meditations and teachings are easy to follow and accessible. Everybody is always so welcoming and there is always someone to chat with over tasty vegetarian lunch or coffee and cake in one of the many World Peace Cafes. I'm so grateful to have found this amazing Buddhist community.

Buddhist teachings brought meaning to my life. I've been in the NKT since 1999. In few words, it changed my life from the very first class I attended. Meditation and Buddhist teachings are the key to build a happy life and to be able to help others. The teachers and community are very inspiring people, noble, and pure practitioners; with good heart and genuine motivation. I recommend these teachings to everyone without any hesitation.

I've been going here (Manchester centre) for 8+ years now and my experience has been very positive all the way. It's definitely been life improving for me.I can't comment on other people's past experiences, but I've never seen anything that felt like a red flag, and I was very much watching out for it. You do see some really aggressive criticism about the NKT online, but none of that tallies even slightly with my experience.

I’m by nature a skeptical person and was never keen on any religion or spirituality. A few years ago I was looking to learn about meditation and how to meditate (I had tried Headspace but wanted to learn from the source - Buddhism) so visited a local Kadampa meditation centre. I’ve since been to classes, study programs and festivals. Speaking from personal experience, the teachings are pure and have helped me so much. I’ve gained a lot of peace, wisdom, and compassion and continue to do.

I have been involved with the New Kadampa Tradition for thirty years. I find the teachings immensely helpful and have received unconditional kindness and support from many NKT friends. A few years ago I took some time out to pause and reflect - nobody pressured me to return. I came back because for me the teachings and community have proven to be reliable. My relationships with friends and family are strong and wholesome. Thank you.

I have been attending teachings, meditations and study classes at various NKT centres throughout the UK for the last 30 years. The teachings of Venerable Geshe La are absolutely pure, his books and teachings have changed my life and are totally inspiring. I would recommend anyone to read his works (some of which are available for free) and attend some classes to decide for yourself!

I've attended classes, retreats and festivals many times within the New Kadampa Tradition. All I can comment on is from my own personal experience...The teaching seem genuine, I've put them into practice as best I can and I feel more peaceful and happy and my life feels more meaningful. Definitely recommend.

The first NKT center I attended was in Southampton around 22 years ago. The teachings are amazing 😍 very clear and very beautiful - main emphasis is learning how to love others properly, whilst developing our own wisdom at the same time. The teachings are all presented simply and beautifully by venerable geshela, so are easy to put into practice by the modern day person 😀.The people here and the Sangha community globally, all walks of life , put in so much joyful effort into helping the teachings flourish, it is easy for your 💓 heart to be touched . Such a good example of loving kindness for the world to follow. Find your local center and come along and see for yourself , 😁.

Finding the New Kadampa Tradition was life-changing for me. The teachings showed me a new way to deal with all the things happening in the world and in my own personal life as well. Learning how to move my mind from negative to positive has been so amazing. I wish I had found these teachings as a young person. Also, traveling this path with so many others trying to benefit the world is so inspiring.

Have attended many NKT centres and festivals around the world and studied with the NKT for 24 years. The NKT is full of people who give their time and energy freely in order to help pure teachings reach the hearts and minds of those who need it in this difficult world. Everyone is made welcome and people are free to leave at any time. I personally know hundreds of people benefitted hugely from the NKT. I am glad that this site explains and answers the unfounded criticisms of a few vocal people.

I have been in the tradition for many years and have had nothing but beneficial experiences. The teachings are practical and can be used in everyday life.The NKT states they are non-political and hold fast to that. Geshela’s teaching was only for the benefit of others, as with any group investigate through reliable sources, listen to teachings and make your own decision base on facts not hearsay.

When I met Venerable Geshe-la's disciples in the 90s, I was practicing meditation with an Indian guru for over 9 years. Not too long after my first General Program class, I was tagging along to other Kadampa classes and events, listening to teachings from Geshe-la and Gen-la Dekyong (my kind Teacher in Liverpool) and studying on the Foundation Program. What a meaningful, life-changing opportunity! That was almost 30 years ago. I am still in awe of the kindness and generosity of Venerable Geshe-la's students. I just visited the Malaga Temple for World Peace in October. Such dedication!! In this world full of so much disharmony, the Kadampa Sangha are a real object of refuge <3
