Is nctx.co.uk Legit?

I was travelling down Carlton Road at around 6.50pm on Monday the 30th September, a lilac line bus number 423 was pulled o to lay-by near th old Manvers School, I was level with the back of the vehicle when he just decided to pull out across the cycle lane and into the road causing me to break sharply . Luckily there was no one behind me .I followed the bus to the next stop outside the March Hare pub I asked the driver what his problem was but got no response , he then tried closing the door on me while I was stood on the platform, when that didn’t work he tried driving away with me half in half out the bus , absolutely atrocious , dangerous actions, I’ve emailed NCT but have had no response .

I got to the 39 bus at Queen Street as it was just about to pull out. He'd closed the doors but couldn't move because there was another bus in front of him waiting. I knocked on the door and he looked at me and said NO and looked away. The bus sign said the Carlton Valley bus was due which meant the bus had left a little early, so there was absolutely no reason why he refused me. This was a spiteful and vindictive act by someone who clearly hates his job. I reluctantly joined the queue and watched the bus as it sat there for another 2 minutes idling before it could pull away; the driver turning away another person whilst doing so. It's drivers like these that give NCTX a bad reputation. He was a youngish driver, Reg of bus was YD73 FSL and approx. time was 16:08.

You're better of walking, rude biscuits drivers, incompetent times,over priced fares for driver who wants more wages then a nurse doing full time. A company that basically says "your money or your life" ify grandad was alive today he would be livid at the drivers(as my grandad was a bus driver and never complained about his job) yet you have these 20 something getting mardy for sitting on their arses for 4 hours driving and expect to be paid 250 a month.yet they can't even be on time on stay at a terminal for an extra 5 min after the timetable says "due" and moves on to the next bus that's 25 min away... Or we have the rare occasion they come on time or they come on time but have like 4 same buses on same route show up. I honestly wouldn't take a bus but walk and save money, not pay these lazy bus drivers a shilling

Absolutely trash company full of obese men who can’t even drive or wait properly

The bus 18 which taking care of the Beeston and Stapleford is a one huuuuge trash!I’m living in Beeston since 5 years and the only thing what changed is that morning buses are not late. Big congratulation for you all! Every day I’m going back to home buses are late 15-20 min or don’t show up at all. So many times I came back from work before bus arrival time and they are just driving avay 5-6 minutes before they supposed to. This is RIDICULOUS and so much ANNOING. People after work wants to go home not wait 1h for bus which supposed to be a while before. Date of experience???Every single day since 5 years!

Lost my wallet on the last bus 43 home on Sunday 16/6/2024. Remember it being a young lady driver who was polite very professional and honest.Got my wallet back from lost property and due to a recent birthday had more cash in it than normal all still in the wallet a long with my credit cards.Reassurring they have good honest staff.It was a privilege to donate £10 to ther charity as a small way of thanks

disgusting service the driver just laughed and waved while driving past me and my 3 year with our arms out. the bus was practically empty and with easter sunday a while till the next bus probably why he found it hilarious. you raise the prices but offer worse service… makes sense… sort out your drivers and stop hiring any idiot

For almost seven years, I have been using the Nottingham City bus. Most bus drivers are genuinely horrible people. Not even in India have I encountered ruder drivers than the Nottingham City bus drivers. I really can't express myself because I don't know how to describe them, and I don't have any words for them. I portray them as just evil.

Drivers refuse to stop and pick up customers claiming they are full.They drive double decker busses often with the second deck visibly empty.Leaving earlier isn't an option, you may still wait for more than an hour on a working day morning just out of the sheer spite of the drivers and of the company that either doesn't know when peak hours are or simply doesn't care.

Give the company a break....99% of buses run on time, are clean, and go close to wherever you want to be. Positive experiences are not reviewed- only when something goes wrong. Come on all you happy travellers- get reviewing. I don't work for the company, I use various services fairly regularly and am very happy with all.

If I could leave 0 stars I wouldThis is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. The buses are dirty, most of the drivers are rude, it seems the decent drivers have gone to work elsewhere. After hitting so many pedestrians with their bus wing mirrors, causing some serious damage to people. They claimed to be installing cameras in place of wing mirrors. Haven’t seen one in over a year. The office team are unscrupulous bullies who try to make out a victim of their utter incompetence is looking for a quick payday! Beyond flabbergasted this company is trusted with our cities public transport.

Absolute rubbish excuse of a company. Buses always late and packed, very rude drivers and often unclean and untidy.VERY EXPENSIVE!Friggin hope this bus service goes bust!!!Come on people walk, use own transport such as scooters and cycles and put them out of business!

I caught the 79 bus at 13.08 on Beckhampton Rd, bus number 651.The driver was so polite and happy with all of his customers. The lights had failed on hucknall Rd, he asked if I had to cross the road, said yes, he blocked the road with his bus so I could cross. He is a credit to your company. My mother Mrs Sheila Zalewski was one of the first lady bus drivers for NCT and her motto was manners cost nothing.

One of the bad poblic transport which is u have to wait for 20 min to get bus on Sundays ?why? Like the people doesn’t have life on Sundays or sometimes u will be on time in bus stop by timetable but u will see the bus gone 2 min before the timetable time .the terrible think no body care about that if u gonna be late for work or appointment or whatever.sometimes u don’t get bus or sometimes three bus coming together

I am suspicious of some of the negative reviews.I regularly use buses on the Green Line, and think 90% of the drivers are pleasant and helpful.Those that complain about the timetable, should see the service in Kent.Even large towns have more than an hour between buses.

Me amd my partner came into town to watch the Euro finals left our pub with plenty of time to find NCT had cancelled its buses and missing the the last tramA taxi was our only option but at nearly 50 pounds this was unacceptable. How can NCT a major transport link for people leave so many people abandoned. Absolutely disgusting

-10 Stars. Buses are never on time. Bus drivers haven’t got any manners or respect whatsoever even starting arguments with passengers and swearing at them. Since the virus the bus drivers have been allowing the bus to be packed and every single seat is taken up by someone and there’s people stood upstairs and downstairs. There’s also particularly rude drivers on the route 28.

Bus route 53 is shocking most days especially in the mornings. Buses not turning up, leaving bus stops 15 minutes early etc… Company needs to realise that people are paying for their services for a reason - like getting to work so they can pay for the bus ticket prices.

I go on buses and drivers are fine but some fricking passengers are goddamn f*ckin rude. One passenger on a bus i was on sat next to me but he literally sat so close to me I had no space. Also taking in the fact that these buses are never clean and the passengers are f*ckin distinguished and rude

I’ve lived in Nottingham my whole life, and I used to think NCTX was bad. Now experiencing other companies, this bus company is amazing:1) Their buses are constantly clean, inside and out2) The bus models are great. I’m loving the new electric ones3) The bus drivers are mostly nice. You sometimes get a few rude or distant ones here and there, but most are friendly. I had a bus driver today- the 35 going to Bulwell, that left the city centre at 13:00/13:01 who was lovely, and constantly had a smile on his face. There was also another amazing geezer a couple weeks ago, unfortunately I can’t remember the time of the bus but he was very interactive with everyone.4) The idea of separate colours for bus lines are so creative, makes it so easy to navigate5) The bus app is so easy to use and is extremely helpful6) The electronic screens make it so easy to know when the next bus is7) The bus leaflets have just the right amount of information.8) They constantly update their TwitterThere are only a few critiques I have:1) Sometimes the buses are late, then come in 2’s and 3’s. I think this happens everywhere though2) The 77 to Strelley. I hate this bus.3) The older bus models for both single and double deckers, ie Optare Solo’s. But these are thankfully becoming very rare.So I’m very happy with the company. I think the people with bad reviews need to experience other bus companies!
