mypoints.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives mypoints.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 95.6. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Trustworthy. Quality. Safe.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this high score? We came up with the 95.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to mypoints.com's industry. The algorithm detected no high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Trustworthy. Quality. Safe. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning mypoints.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between mypoints.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of mypoints.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of mypoints.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. mypoints.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether mypoints.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether mypoints.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, mypoints.com.

They've deactivated my account twice in the past 2 months with no explanation. Once was right after I earned a high amount of points (usually I take a long time to earn points because I don't buy anything, just click through emails, but I got a decent amount for playing a game) and the second time after redeeming points for a $100 gift card. Then they made me go the through a song and dance to reactivate my account. It's actually not that difficult, but I would guess that some people think it's not worth the time and effort and just leave it and give up their points/rewards. If so, it's sneaky and shameful, MyPoints. Maybe it's a coincidence, but probably not.
I love Mypoints ! I have a seditary life and playing on Mypoints and doing surveys is fun , not to mention the bonus points I get for groceries I normally buy anyway !Then I redeem my points for gift cards and then get free food or merchandise of my choice. My only problem with Mypoints is, I can spend a good amount of time on a survey , it says I completed it , then goes to another page that says sorry , you were not eligible and don't get the points ! This has happened several times and no place to complain to !I have been a member for many years and guess you could say I'm addicted ! Lol
As a retiree living on Social Security My Points is a great and easy option for adding to my monthly income. So appreciate getting points when shopping online at an array of stores or when sending purchase receipts for reward points! And having Paypal to deposit your reward points is definitely a real plus!!
I've been using their company for many years. Great program, although lately it's getting more consolidated. Used to be more free click on e-mails where now it's more paid e-mails but it's great if you like on-line shopping.
I've been able to save money and earn points to redeem for gift cards or money towards purchases on Amazon by activating MyPoints or going through them to buy items. I've used them for a long time and I think they are reliable and a decent value. However, I did find it too unwieldy to upload shopping receipts and too much of a time consumer to do surveys to get more points. It is easy to redeem points.
I love mypoints. I have been purchasing through them and doing surveys FOREVER, and it really helps with my finances and budget! Thank you, mypoints!!
I love MyPoints and have gotten multiple gift cards from there, some for Amazon, some for others. My one complaint is the Visa Card redemption is basically useless. It says it works anywhere mastercard is accepted but that's not true, everywhere I put it in online declines except for reloading to Amazon. If you reach out to support when there is a problem, they communicate and actually look into the issue for you. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. One of the rewards is a not good, but you wouldn't know unless you redeemed it. And sometimes games don't show up and you have to go to support. That may not be MyPoint's fault but it is a major inconvenience and often time consuming to get them screenshots of the requested information.
To many emails each day. I think I received 6 emails yesterday. I like MyPoints but the emails are a bit much. I have cashed in to get gift cards and received the gift cards promptly. The surveys use to be better than they are now. If you don’t qualify for the survey you get no points and that is after 15-20 minutes of answering questions. Overall I like MyPoints but some improvements would make it better.
I have been using MyPoints for more than 20 years. I have seen it go through changes over the years but the best part of MyPoints is redeeming my points for gift cards that I can use either for shopping or experiences.
I have been a member of MyPoints for several years what I like most about it is that there is a variety of ways to earn points and a variety of ways to redeem points. You can make it match your schedule, not have to qualify just for surveys play games shop at stores that you normally shop at upload receipts. All of these are moneymaking opportunities.
I have been a memmber of MyPoints for 15 years or longer. I have gotten many gift cards over the years. They use to give the plastic gift card that were like a credit card but now they give out the e-gift cards.
It is so easy to earn and redeem these points on MyPoints for gift cards I can use to treat myself! Whenever there is a question, MyPoints customer service is there to help.
I have used MyPoints for over a decade and it is now just a habit to check their website before shopping. I have received numerous gift cards over the years for a variety of stores.
Great way to earn points. You have several different options for the points. It has an easy way to redeem your points. I thank my wife for telling me about this.
I’ve been a MyPoints member for about 20years+- and it’s gone way downhill. I am constantly finishing surveys and not getting rewarded and I don’t remember this happening the way it is now. Imagine spending 15 minutes on a survey then not getting paid the incentive. Then imagine this happening many times over. So frustrating!
I like the rewards, but sometimes I try many surveys but not qualified for many. Today it took several hours to each the points needed for the day.
I like using my points for all my shopping it feels great earning points to use later, I have been a member a long time and enjoy the variety of shops they have to offer. The extras are nice too which includes games and surveys just to mention a few.
Redeemed another reward and it was quick. Got my reward quickly. It's easy to earn points for rewards and they give extra free points everyday.
It gives you opinions and I have no problem. They haven’t said anything wrong and I haven’t been hacked, by anyone
I have never had any problems redeeming points. I love taking surveys and doing other things on this site. Thank you

“Tired of completing offers. Not getting points”
Complete offers. Send then 6 pictures proof. They don't care, ask to speak with supervisor not even an attempt to fix it This is how you lose customers and eventually won't exist anymore Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Keep far far away”
Mypoints has gotten worse and worse. It's gotten so they rarely credit tickets anymore. They let them sit for weeks or even a month and then close them and tell you that you can submit it again if you want. Their surveys constantly give errors, and when you do complete one, it rarely credits. Then good luck getting your points by submitting a ticket. They only allow you to submit one ticket at a time. You have to wait til they credit or close that one until you can submit another one. If you submit more than one ticket at a time, they'll close them all without crediting them. It takes hours to earn a few cents at their website. There was a time when this site was worth the time you spent on it, but not anymore. It's way more trouble than it's worth. It pretty much zaps the life out of you now. The folks they have reading the tickets seem to have very little language comprehension. They owe me well over 10,000 points and I will never see them. It's not worth it, folks. Service
“No pay surveys are common”
It's not uncommon to take an entire survey and not get paid. Sometimes you can have a half hour invested and it be obvious the survey is complete and you still don't get paid. Tip for consumers:You can get gift cards but it’s pretty minimal for the time required Products used:Surveys Service Value
“Lovin getting gift cards for earning points!”
Since retiring my income has dropped at lot. This is a great way to earn points and get free gift cards. I use mine on Amazon. Why 4 Stars? Sometimes you have problems getting surveys or videos to complete. But over all nice site. It just takes a little time to figure it all out.
“Too Much Effort to get Promised Points”
It takes far too much time to follow up on EVERY promotion. The points awarded are insufficient for all the legwork. Mypoints just doesn't give the points until follow up is done. Frequently I'll complete a survey but then am redirected to the survey page with "Not every survey can be a winner, but here's five points for trying Survey #". If surveys offer bonus points, they will not be awarded. Each time I've followed up on survey issues, I've been given points but it is too much work for too little. After not receiving points for completing purchase-based promotions, I just don't bother buying anything through Mypoints anymore. I'll go elsewhere to earn serious points. This is just a way to kill time while waiting for something. In over eight years I still haven't accomplished that many points.
“Difficult to earn points”
Over the last 15 years that ive been a member, it has become increasingly more and more difficult to earn points. I have struggled through the monthly goals so much so that ive given up on even trying. Same goes for the surveys. I give my best answers and 70% of the time i am kicked from a survey that ive spent a considerable amount of time answering. Im tired of trying. Watching videos of the same boring junk everyday over and over for months, even years in the daily scoop.ive mentioned it quite a few times now how dissatisfied i am with the process. Not doing it any more. I have much better things to do than waste my time busting my a** for less than an extra 850 points monthly. I do quite a bit of shopping online, so thats how i manage to earn my points these days. I at least havent been punished for shopping. Yet...
“Best Site of it's Kind”
I've been a member of MyPoints since 2007. It has improved greatly over the years. I'm very happy with the whole set up. It has saved me quite a bit of money in many ways. I always get the points from shopping or anything else I do on the site. I never have an issue in using any gift cards whether it's a physical gift card or an e-card. I either use the e-card and purchase online or print the e-card out and take it to the store in which it can be used. I love the Daily 5 and the Monthly Goals where you can earn bonus points. Yes, sometimes it gets tedious not being able to qualify for surveys, but I'm not one to give up easily so I keep trying. I also get 5 points for trying a certain number of them so it's all good to me.
“What is the buzz about MyPoints?”
Having used MyPoints weekly, using coupons, taking surveys, daily polls, and all the numerous other ways, I earned enough points to redeem for gift cards. It can be quite a grind to get there, but I was able to, after well over a year, redeem points for multiple Amazon gift cards and with that, I purchased a flat-pack beehive that I assembled and put in flow-hive frames. My secret for success is to keep track of surveys - the dead links, the ones gleaning information, and making sure to take screen shots for entering support tickets; these get resolved in a few days typically. I also use the coupons quite a bit. Lastly, when making any purchases online, I make sure to click through the site first for deals and whatnot before making the purchase. Familiarize yourself, understand the contract and license agreement as with any, and pay close attention as you would to the surveys you can take. Best of luck, I know I will continue.
“Try to earn as many points as possible”
It can be easy doing surveys till you get disqualified, easier just to redeem coupons and go shopping with those coupons or play games or hard if you watch videos all day, who has time for that? Then redeem the points for gift cards to just about anywhere.
“Survey Issues”
I was kicked out of taking surveys and the site is basically calling me a liar. Last time I checked I am still a female and every time I select that answer I am banned from surveys for an incorrect answer? Cashing out my points after over 10 years and will try to find another site that is actually coherent and can fix issues. Have contacted customer service numerous times and I use that term sarcastically. Tip for consumers:Beware of poor customer service and being called a liar. Products used:Irrelevant Service Value Quality
“Fun”
My Points is an exciting website because you will always be surprised of their offerings! You also have the ability to earn gift cards or other interesting products through the awards program. Take a look and judge for yourself!
“Good program”
I've been using mypoints since December 2009 and the program gets better each year. It's easy to accumulate points on a daily basis and if you plan your online shopping correctly, the points really add up. I just redeemed $25 directly to my paypal account this week. It's nice to have some extra cash or gift certificates for birthdays, holidays, etc...
“I'm sure they are losing members-getting worse every month!”
It USED to be a great site. Now there really are no options to earn decent points without attempting to be successful at a survey. VIdeos have changed to where you get nothing but 2 points for jumping through hoops. My time is much more valuable and I am just about done with this program. I will search for another that isn't so time-consuming! You should fire whomever made the most recent changes!
“Terrible Customer Service”
Long time member. Used to be good site. Since beginning of the year it has been terrible. I have fulfilled offers worth over 100 dollars not to be given the credit. Customer service is non existent. Closing inquiries after taking no actions.
“I love mypoints.com”
I love mypoints.com. A friend referred me years ago and I've earned tons of gift cards, mostly just from reading emails and doing surveys. They are quick to credit points and fulfill redemptions. Highly recommended.
“Point system”
More points should be offered without providing mobile or personal details. If you could have more or higher point reward system especially this year when everyone need something a little extra support during the pandemic. At least until we can get through this together during these hard times.
“Great survey company”
This survey company offers more than just taking surveys - you can accumulate points watching videos or buying online from selected companies - I have never had an issue and when I do contact them, they are very quick to reply to my email requests. And always very helpful.
“MyPoints offers the opportunity to earn points for...”
MyPoints offers the opportunity to earn points for doing what you already do online: shopping, reading emails, playing games, searching the web, taking surveys, and more. Users can then covert those points to gift cards for stores and restaurants of their choosing. However, upon reading the fine print, users will learn that no gift cards will be dispensed until they sign up for at least one "sponsored offer." And of course these "sponsored offers" require credit card details. Again, as it is not advisable to divulge credit card information, it is not worth joining MyPoints. There have also been a number of complaints about MyPoints mysteriously closing user accounts as soon as a payout is requested. Based on the volume and consistency of negative reviews alone, it seems reasonable to say that MyPoints is a scam.
“Good Deal”
As a break to usual internet reading this program offers some interesting rewards for survey participation. At times due to various connectivity issues from assorted websites it can be very frustrating completing and receiving credits. Still all in all it's a solid and rewarding experience.
“Better Survey Experience”
This site is better than many other survey sites, sometimes there are still surveys that end up being time wasters and no rewards but not as bad as many others. I like that you can redeem for rewards at a very low point level.
“MyPoints is good.”
MyPoints has always been good but over the last few years it has really been lacking videos and other fun ways to earn. Also, along with Swagbucks, you can't log in on the apps as it says invalid credentials and along with others has made sure our log in names & passes are indeed correct and CS doesn't help at all. It has become increasingly frustrating with this for a long time now but the regular web page is ok despite no vids. I would really appreciate if the previously mention concerns are fixed however.
“Site with some pros and cons”
I would like to join others who wrote various reviews of the MyPoints website. It is really good to earn points and then use them for gift cards, at the same time it has many problems mentioned here by other customers. Therefore, it is only a 3-star... Tip for consumers:The site has both pros and cons Products used:Gift cards Service Value Shipping Quality
“Frustrating”
A member in good standing for many years. Now they decided Mu survey answers were not consistent basically calling me s liar. Added to this was not receiving points earned no matter how many requests I made. They answered emails with a boiler plate response that basically said "we'll look into it. They never ever did no matter how many times I asked. Some of the ways to earn points just stopped working. They offered no resolutions or alternatives. And then they just stopped. No reason given. No warning. No farewell. After 15 years of taking surveys NOTHING
“I've been a member for many years, and have actually...”
I've been a member for many years, and have actually accumulated over a 1/2 million points since then. My last 2 transactions had some issues so I needed to contact their Customer Service dept. by email. FORGET IT! These people don't even have the courtesy to respond to the emails! They finally resolved 1 issue, but the only way I found out was when I saw my points returned to my account... no email. No explanation! I have currently tried to contact them several times about issue #2, but it's like they intentionally ignore me! It's not a bad site, but I hope you never have to deal with the Customer Service Dept... you will become very frustrated with them... like I am!
“Poor Customer Service”
They dupe people out of crediting their account for surveys taken. They take too long to resolve survey tickets and gripes. They falsely close ticket without actually resolving them. When you show concrete evidence of prejudice disqualification surveys and technical difficulties accessing a survey, Mypoints refuses to credit. It gets worse when you complain the Better Business Bureau. You're a mark from then on. Service Value Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
