MyHeritage has been a leader in genealogy innovation. MyHeritage offers photo enhancements, family event reminders, timeline, consistency checker, DNA matches and tools to use to help you with your matches (who can be found around the world), and a huge catalog of records to research. I tried the AI feature to write a short story about my grandfather based on his profile and it worked really well. And last but not least is the newspaper collection in OLDNEWS.COM.

This site is great for many reasons. You can usually find more information about growing your tree from others' trees or documents. When adding pictures this site has the best tools to work with them. If something doesn't work the customer service is great. Their DNA resources are amazing. You can't go wrong with searching on this site, I have enjoyed using this site for many years!

Good afternoon,I live in Brazil and you took away the option to purchase for delivery to Brazil.Customer support is terrible, it simply doesn't work.I had to buy the Kit from a friend who lives in London.I hope he gets to his house...Look at the trouble the company is giving me.I'm even thinking about transferring my information to another company that is more qualified.I expect satisfactory feedback from interested parties.

AI photos & unique record collections. I have found some records collections on MyHeritage that I couldn't find anywhere else. I'm glad that I get updates from MyHeritage on new collections because one such e-mail told me about the availability of emigration records from Vienna, Austria from 1938-39. This yielded quite a bit of information about numerous members of my family. That was a very meaningful "find". I also think the photo editing tools are not only useful genealogically (i.e. estimating dates of photos), but the tools are also quite fun to use. Thanks to MyHeritage!

Ease of use and the suggested documents that are presented. The AI photo program is also great fun and encourages a person to find pictures to use. One thing I find time consuming is all the agreement between members when trying to accept documents as proof and having to verify back and forth.

I have had numerous calls on 0808164 8606 since November 2023, as my raw data, needed for serious health issues etc. My heritage keeps sending a message to say raw data has/is been sent to my email but never received. I have tried numerous times on the phone with myheritage, to get the same message then told their technical team will get onto it. Still nothing.Now phone number gone....

Hello, last year I purchased a kit and received it at home, I did the entire procedure correctly, but on the website it says that "There is a problem with the sex reported for your sample" but everything is ok, they ask you to wait 3 days and that's it. It was on August 2, 2023 and so far there has been no update, I can't get in touch because I need to have a subscription... how can I activate an incompetent service?

I dont understand where the English n usa are in my dna as both my parents are german born n breed, there are no English what so ever in our part. I wanted to find my father and half sister, this dna has really given me nothing. Sorry to disappoint you and I disappointed myself in thinking I could find them.

SCAM. Do not put your card information in for a free trial! I went to cancel, and they charged me anyways, but offered a “free dna kit” as a “sorry we charged you over $200” gift. A year later, they renewed my subscription without my permission and I have email proof I canceled it a YEAR AGO. I have since disputed with my bank and had to get a whole new card so they don’t try and pull this again. Customer service phone number doesn’t exist and email inquires still haven’t gotten back to me. The virtual assistant claimed “there is no specific phone number but they will be contacting me via phone,” crazy.

I so appreciate MyHeritage. Researching on the platform is easy for a person wanting to learn more about their family. MyHeritage opens doors to history. It bring our ancestors alive and gives us the ability to walk in their footsteps. Researching on MyHeritage draws us closer to the past.MyHeritage gives you the opportunity to find more because there is always more. The experience has been so much fun. To be honest the chance of receiving my DNA kit without paying for postage clinched it for me. The thought of paying anymore than the amount I have paid would have put me off ordering the DNA kit. You wanted an honest review, well here you are.

I have been working with MyHeritage for many years. Some time ago, I got a DNA test and began seeing links to people who shared my DNA. We had a old family tradition about an adopted Great-grandfather in Denmark. My daughter found some possible parents for the adopted child through doing the research in the parish where he was born and put the information in our MyHeritage family tree. At about the same time, MyHeritage began showing us DNA connections to the descendants of the potential parents. This confirmed our research and found the biological parents of this Great-grandfather.

I understood my renewal would not go thru following my conversation at last year’s renewal. However it did.After not getting anywhere when ringing the number given for Ireland I sent an email.Although My Heritage would not refund the renewal premium they eventually offered that the premium would cover me for 2 years.It was the best outcome they would give.

I love the DNA offerings and tools MyHeritage offers and use them regularly in my work and personal research. MyHeritage has a big European following; as a result, it is the only site where I've had DNA matches to my French grandmother close enough to be helpful. The ability to view the amount of DNA shared between matches and sort that amount by either the test taker or the match, along with a chromosome browser, has been crucial for identifying key matches and cutting through some of the tangles caused by endogamy and multiple relationships in my tree. As a bonus, MyHeritage also offers DNA uploads from other testing services.

Confusing issue: receiving a Welcome email from OldNews When I did not want to subscribe to it. This then requiref follow-up to say I didn’t want to Sure, I wasn’t going to be billed for subscription However, the response from support was prompt and helpful.

I thought all the companies would have the same results but my immediate family aren't on here and they are on Ancestry.com. So now I have to do another DNA test with Ancestry.com. I also don't like how I have to subscribe to a plan to get further information. It's too expensive.

Our family's DNA kit officially is "still in the lab" after almost three months of receiving it. I wrote 4 or 5 emails asking for an update, no response. Once they wrote me to wait couple more weeks. Nothing happened after those 2 weeks and no communication since then. They got my DNA, no test results, no communication, no refund. So far feels like scam.

MyHeritage is a great genealogy site. There is a wide variety of Record sets available for countries all over the world. The searches search in many different languages, and there is a SuperSearch, which remembers the searches you performed and regularly checks to see if there are new matches to your search. You can build a small tree for free, and there is free family history software available if you prefer to keep your tree on your own computer. It's possible to do a DNA test with MyHeritage, or upload your raw data from another testing company to find cousin matches. There are great DNA tools available as well, to maximise your chances of working out relationships.There are plenty of other great features: colorising & enhancing photos, animate photos, DeepStory (where an ancestor can tell there own story), and AI Time Machine (where you can see what you would look like in many different eras).It 'is' quite expensive for full membership, (although comparable to Ancestry), but there are lesser membership options available, and still quite a lot you can do with a free account.
