Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between myabandonware.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of myabandonware.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of myabandonware.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. myabandonware.com is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Many, many game titles are infected with malicious adware/trojan software call PUADIManager:Win32/OfferCore.Very very difficult to uninstall. Be warned.
I originally found this when trying to find a safe download for the 1997 classic, "sonic R" I found that it had a safe download that, albeit with a bit of finagling, worked great. I also downloaded sonic heroes with the same result. both games had modloaders linked under the download, and they too are also safe. overall, if you know what you're doing, it is a great website for retro games. and no, there are no viruses to my knowledge, but i still recommend scanning the files just in case.
People that rate this site 1 star because the games "don't work", are the people that have no idea what they are doing. So far, I have downloaded 2 games from it and there has been nothing suspicious going on in my pc either, so I doubt that it will give anyone a virus. In their FAQ, they also state to still always scan your games in virustotal and if the file is too big, scan it in your antivirus. Some detections may also be false flagged. So I recommend the site ngl
Terrible site you cant even play anything, you just download the file and you cant play it it probably just gives you a virus.
Any Games you install. You are Guaranteed to get a virus. Find another website.
This website has over 17000 games to play for FREE! They have games from 1978 to early 2000's, originally released on early home computers such as Spectrum, Amstrad, Commodore and Amiga, consoles like Sega and Nintendo, Atari Consoles & Computers, PC Dos and Windows and so on. Many games can be played online immediately whilst some can also be downloaded to keep and enjoy again and again. Almost all of the games are public domain (no longer subject to copyright). Unfortunately, a fairly high proportion of the online games contain errors of one sort or another - some won't play at all - and for some strange reason, the sound & music files for the majority of games are terrible, with tinny sound and out-of-tune music so bad that they grate on the nerves and spoil your enjoyment of the game. (I find It's best to play with low volume or no sound at all; or listen to your own music)! That said, there are so many games from which to choose that you will always find something to enjoy that works well. But do be prepared, on occasion, for several disappointments before finding a fully working game; I've rediscovered one of my old favourites now-and-again, only to find that It crashes, has appalling or non-existent sound, or simply will not work! The format and workability of the website really could do with a thorough overhaul - It's a real shame that niggling little bugs and problems occur all too often throughout the site and haven't yet been addressed. A website so large and popular deserves to be made fully workable; as things are, It's as though MyAbandonware Is In a permanent state of beta testing! Let's hope the sites owners will put their heads together and get those minor but annoying problems sorted out.....MyAbandonware Is good, but could so easily be fantastic with a little collective brainstorming! After all, It only needs doing once.In summary, MyAbandonware Is a very much appreciated website with enough playable content to keep us 'Grandpa Gamers' reminiscing for years, as well as Introducing our younger generations to thousands of classic games of all kinds (let's see how good you are In OUR games domain, you young whippersnappers) Lol! There's room for Improvement and has been from the start. My criticism may seem unfairly harsh, but make no mistake - I consider It to be a truly marvellous and, for once, genuinely free gaming website but which Is failing both Itself and It's users by leaving the project In this unfinished, 'limbo' state. A little work Is all that's needed.
Great selection of games. Would be great it if worked
I get to play Utopia again! My inner nine year old is very happy. Everything worked as it should!
legit games no virus :D

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
