mugenarchive.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives mugenarchive.com a low-to-medium trust score on the platform: 46.8. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Doubtful. Medium-Risk. Alert.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 46.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to mugenarchive.com's industry. The algorithm detected potential high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Doubtful. Medium-Risk. Alert. tags above. Long story short, we caution you about using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning mugenarchive.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between mugenarchive.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of mugenarchive.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of mugenarchive.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. mugenarchive.com is a suspect website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether mugenarchive.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether mugenarchive.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, mugenarchive.com.

Now I'm not a MUGEN veteran but holy this website has to be made from Satan himself. Like the ranks for example, if you are a new challenger or above good for you. If you're a Lurker be prepared for the most annoying experience in your life because if you decide to download something on the weekends you cant. because these demons called "mods" think that everyone has enough time to do a stupid forum or upload a bunch of files. The mods make the site like North Korea because even if you say you just wanna stay silent and upload you get banned.
5 stars for preserving huge number of great old characters, from the times there were much more balanced ones. The rules make no sense though, from the limitations of downloading for new members to steps against everyone who is not an elitist sheep. The shadow of the old infamous WinMUGEN era.
This site somewhat reminds me of the era of WinMUGEN which had the best characters (along with later DOS one) but full of grumpy creators, elitist frat boys and ego-inflated immature forum admins. Just this site doesn´t bash creations and is in self-denial. I have never been banned but some actions are questionable. But otherwise the very best site for getting old characters because since the conflicts of 2009 and new era of cartoon fans without any standards lot of formely famous characters disappeared. Or even earlier. Mugenarchive has to be here to preserve MUGEN history. Just the moderation should be changed.
Do you want to go to a website that hosts thousands upon thousands of Mugen characters and stages, with the intent to download a bunch of characters and stages? That's cute.No downloads on weekends (unless you post on their stupid forum), ban-happy admins who can't take criticism, registered users who don't post are "leechers" and get their file size limit halved, overall shady practices, and worst of all, they have all the stuff that you can't find anywhere else.
Well... where should I begin...The MUGEN community as a whole has an unusual amount of nonsense and mentals, even by online gaming standards. I was about to give up on this game when I found MUGEN ARCHIVE which appears to be the last bastion of hope and sanity. All you need is a free account then you will be able to access most stuff without all the BS I've seen elsewhere. Some stuff will remain locked but you can access 99% of the content. Worth making an account.
If ever there were a guide to fostering and developing a user community, it could be boiled down to one sentence:"Don't be anything like mugenarchive.com."And if another sentence were required:"Seriously, just don't."Toxic admins wielding an IP address ban like they're the guards of Fort Knox, and not a bunch of chancers looking to profit off other peoples work.
If only I could give 0 stars, I played mugen once 1 or 2 years ago briefly. I never knew some bad things are happening on there between the community and the mods, I just downloaded a handful to characters AND NEVER PARTICIPATED IN ANY CONVERSATION OR ARGUMENT THERE.Now returning to check some characters, and what I found is I got banned. WORSE, IP banned! For no reason at all.Like bruh, haven't done anything that violated any of their TOS. Just want to download characters.
awful site, extremely sensitive admins, will ip ban anyone they catch using different mugen sites.the Community Event bars anyone who isn't registeredeven if Registered, you still need to post a lot to level up to not be barred during these events.
Unacceptable, can't download anything over 10MB not even allowed to make any new accounts. This site is a disgrace to the Mugen Community. Literally one of if not the worst mugen site ever hands down... Either fix those problems or just shut down the website entirely I'm literally being straightforward with this criticism.
This is the worst MUGEN site, bar none. The admin, Dizzy, is a deplorable, whiny little child who will give a nice, shiny, IP ban to you for the dumbest reasons imaginable, including but not limited to; criticism, being a "lurker" (someone who downloads but doesn't upload), et cetera. You also can't download anything over 10 megabytes in file size without an account, and even then, things that are 100 megabytes in size are locked behind a paywall! There are dozens more issues with this site, and to be honest, I feel like I'm about to have a stroke just trying to explain them.Avoid this site like the plague!
Worst site, bro really has to wait 24 hours to download something all because i downloaded like 10 characters this website is horrible and i honestly think everybody should avoid it. I fr be seeing people getting banned for the dumbest reasons like just a month ago a guy made a harmless joke and he got permanently banned. Trash site with trash rules.
They steal other peoples content and use it in the website in order to make money. This is called plagiarism and goes against both the creator, the original owner and Mugen Archive the group who uses plagiarism to make money. This also means the site should be closed down because it violates terms of service, and blatantly steals from other people to make money.Yet no one is stepping in to stop this?
I've recieved an ip ban for no reason; they accused me of harrasment when I never say anything against the site nor there neither outside (in fact I never even wrote a single comment in the archive). The admins there seem to act in a arbitrary/erratic way. There is also the issue they completely support stealing; most of the characters their host are editions from editions from editions... and the worst part of it: you have to pay for a VIP membresy if you want to download the "top rated" ones! Awful.
Now I see I'm not the only one that's had problems here. I've been playing along with mugen since the early 2000s. I never got really heavily into editing or anything, just have a rotating roster of characters and have for a long, long time. Anyway, I decided to go through and up a bunch of characters with new versions and got banned from MugenArchive, I think...for downloading? I've been on the forums, I say thanks, I don't complain about weekends, just a low level user. Here's the thing - Some of these guys, some, complain and complain about how everyone is a leech and just sucks off their servers. But when you start poking around and actually reading, half the time the work they're hosting, meaning the work they're making money, isn't from them. If it doesn't expressively say don't upload it, they upload it, profitize it, make money off it, then complain about all the leeches who don't put in the work, over and over, day in and day out. It'd be cute if they weren't sitting on a treasure trove of other peoples hard work.
I can't change my password after I forgot it, the rules are too strict and my accounts have been waiting in moderation for what feels like forever after I got banned. The admins are just some power hungry jerks who shouldn't force people to follow their rules. Also why the hell are there download limits for guests and unregistered accounts?! It's absoulte bullcrap!
Best DBZ collections everI love the 16-bit dbz collection and the EB collection. Made two rosters one for 16bit stuff and another for extreme butoden. 10/10
What a bunch of hypocrites these admins. the name says it all (Mugen Archives), it's suppose to be a library for mugen resources to all mugen lovers to get and download anything they wanted for free without limitations apparently these doushebags who call themselves (admins) at this site are aiming for your donation once you pay them, you get all their policy privileges, it's mind boggling....For all mugen fans if you wanted to download or join a great community, i'd suggest Mugenguild.com is much much better than these clowns, and again everything is free without any limitations... they've been around for long enough for not to be a douche....
After two years of usage I got banned for complaining that they sent me to scam links instead of the raw download. Don't they know that the scams are how the sites pay them and they could end up being liable? The moderators aren't very helpful either, banning people for things like asking for help because their poorly-developed script mistook them for using a download accelerator. I definitely recommend one of the many other MUGEN sites.
- Your Best Alternative !Are you annoyed by how mugenarchive falsely bans people for no reason? you are lucky there is an best alternative, check out the youtube channel called @DarkNightMugen this guy has a lot of mugen games and a lot of mugen characters on his channel and you can downlaod it free without risk of getting banned.- How I Got Banned?I got banned from this site just for nothing, The Admins on this site is suspicious of every new person, you can get a ban for fast file downloads, for example 50 to 60 downloads per day = ban and they don't even have that in the rules - they just find it suspicious...I suspect that the entire admin team is a bunch of paranoid people on medication.
I'll keep this short. Community weekend events. Permanent bans. Limiting users' bandwidth. Dizzy. Do these sound like things you're willing to put up with? Stay away from needless bullsh*t such as this. If you really need Mugen characters that badly, look on alternate sites in tandem with Internet Archive's way back machine. While you're at it, maybe join some of the other communities and politely ask if anyone has what you're looking for. Who knows? Maybe you could run into the right person for the job. You could even grab a friend or family member and look for some stages or characters together. Either way, it's more productive than being angry about the made up rules of some random, arbitrary warehouse website run by a domestic lunatic, pretending to be a woman. Need I say more?

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
