Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between moxtons.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of moxtons.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of moxtons.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. moxtons.co.uk is a suspect website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. I ordered a SSD hard drive on 4 August. Still not received. No reply from Moxtons to emails and their courier service are no help either. I will not buy from this retailer again.
Further to my earlier post re:- this Scam Company. after reading comments on here about hard drive i ordered *I sent an email cancelling the order as i have 14 days to do this for an online order. I have sent numerous mails after NOT ONE has been answered from them. Apparently the drive is enroute? Still IF it does arrive it will be going to Trading Standards as i believe it is a load of junk! I will also make a claim back from my bank card.
I'm pretty sure this is a fake company. Ordered about 2 weeks ago and sent emails but no response.
I ordered a 6TB external hard Drive from Moxtons on 11th June 2024 which was delivered on 24th June 2024. I opened the package and plugged it in and it would not format. I tried this on my Son's PC & Laptop with the same results. I've emailed & phoned Moxtons on several occasions with either no reply. This is very poor customer service and I would not recommend using this company
Ordered an external hard drive. Took ages to arrive … Will not load. They are slow to respond to customer service and have advised I look on YouTube for how to fix it!! Avoid this company.
On the 3rd June 2024 I purchased a 32 Terrabyte Solid State Drive costing £79.99 online from a company called Moxtons. How I wish I had read these reviews before going ahead.I installed the SHOP app so I could track the item. So far there is no tracking number and the item is still awaiting shipping. My concern now is whether the item will be delivered at all and if it arrives it will be serviceable. I did email Moxtons with my concerns but their reply was far from helpful. Watch this space.
Ordered 8tb ssd hard drive it never arrived. Despite numerous emails and text messages nothing. Looking at the other reviews on here if it ever does turn up I may as well bin it.
Brought a 30tb external hard drive from them back in November last year, turned up finally about three weeks late. After using it for about a week and loading it with data, it crashed and corrupted all files after about 2tb of data was loaded onto it.Cutting a long story short I had enough the other week so as I had paid through my credit card I've made a claim through them. I also tried to put a review on their website, funny thing is it never appeared on there. I wonder why?DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. I HAVE NOW REFERRED IT TO TRADING STANDARDS.IT'S A SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered a hard drive 128TB for £129.99 and no sign of it's delivery which was expected within 5-8 days.Phone no in their email is fake - doesn't work! I found their other number from their website which works, but no one picks it up! They text me but with no assurance of the item being delivered. I tried SHOP app, which tell me it's been delivered!! What a lie! Another person called Evie emailed me but now seems to be vanished as there is no response from that person either!! Not sure if this is a genuine dealer. I will never shop again with them, even if if they really exist.
if you genuinely think you can get 32tb of SSD for the price of £72.... that's the price of a real 1tb ssd.... well done guys for wasting your money on a very obvious scam 🤦♂️
Order not received after 10 days. I have contacted Moxton’s and no reply via the website which states a reply will be received in minutes! I have emailed Moxton’s and asked for an immediate refund due to failure to provide the goods I paid for in good faith. I am not hopeful of a refund based on the reviews here, but ever hopeful. A horrible feeling to suspect you have been the victim of an online scam. Lesson learned - always read the Trust Pilot review before ordering on-line.
Made a duplicate order by accident for hearing aids, contacted Moxtons who said order could not be cancelled as was with shipping department (utter rot) That I had to send them back with recorded delivery and get refund. I have emailed continuously and still not got my £180 refunded. I can only conclude this company are a bunch of crooks and online scammers. I will be reporting them to trading standards. Please do not buy anything from this lot. Vile shower to rob people at Christmas
I bought a 2TB SSD hard drive that is clearly defective and not as advertised. I contacted the seller by email and got a reply asking me to send it back.I have since emailed, phoned, texted and attempted online chat to find the address to send it to. Despite their online claim of guaranteed answering within 24 hours I've heard nothing.I wish I'd seen the other reviews of dodgy SSD drives and poor service on here before ordering. If I continue to hear nothing I shall be contacting Trading Standards etc.
Ordered a camera, reviews from their site where brilliant. Payed using my CC. when the invoice came it showed a slightly different Co. plus a gmail address. Checked the reviews and read the two previous. My order got cancelled and I was told a refund given, however upon contacting my card provider they have taken out additional payments again. This has now been passed to their fraud dept. The police may even be contacted if more fraudulent activity occurs on my account.
Item arrived faulty. Cheap badly made, terrible quality, poor customer service. Although sent a non working SSD drive, I had to pay £5.39 to return it that they wont refund and they have still not refunded despite receiving it back, 3 days ago and promising a full refund on receipt of item. Have reported to trading standards, their very poor business practices.
Do not purchase anything from this website / company. I bought an 2TB SSD drive online on 15th Aug.I had to chase delivery which eventually arrived on 5th Sept. The drive did not function properly, took forever to copy files and left folders corrupted and inaccessible.I reported the issues and returned the item via Royal Mail and this was delivered on 8th Sept but no refund has been sent. These crooks have robbed me of £34.99 plus the £5 I spent returning the item.
I cant mark them as zero star which is a bit unfortunate. The company has no stock on site as they operate from a residential location in Cardiff - : 2 Sienna House, Lynton Court, Cardiff, Wales, CF10 5NF. The kit seems to be bought in from China to sell on. I purchased a 6TB SSD which was useless. The advertised speed was up to 1100MB/sec. I recorded just 18.55 MB/sec using a program called EaseUS partition master. It took 21 emails over a 26 days to get my money back MINUS the postage I had to pay to return the item. Why does their site have 50+ 5 star reviews??? It is a UK company masquerading as a high tech company - it is NOT - I have reported them to trading standards.
I had a few questions regarding some items and the seller was very responsive. He gave accurate information regarding his products and I'm glad I bought from his store. The items are in pristine condition and I definitely got my money's worth, maybe even more! Will definitely buy again!
I bought a 6TB SSD external drive for just under GBP50, an extremely low price so I was not expecting much. That is what I got. Firstly, delivery was delayed, but only by a week.Secondly, the drive is reported as an NVMe HFM512GD3JX013N drive, which the internet reports as 512MB capacity. I checked this by transferring files onto the drive and, unsurprisingly, the drive would not accept further files once approximately 500MB was transferred to it. I wiped the drive and tried this four times, each time with the same result.
The worst online experience ever, be warned, don't deal with this bunch of crooks. I will be going to the police station to open a case regarding online fraud / Scam.I ordered a hard drive 8TB for £49.99 and no sign of it's delivery which was expected within 5-8 days.Phone no in their email is fake - doesn't work! I found their other number from their website which works, but no one picks it up! They text me but with no assurance of the item being delivered. I tried SHOP app, which tell me it's been delivered!! What a lie! Another person called Evie emailed me but now seems to be vanished as there is no response from that person either!!It seems like the Fake company is run by a person called: MOHAMMAD, Moawia and if so here is the Correspondence address 15 Despenser Street, Cardiff, Wales, CF11 6AGit also looks like they are running out of a shop called Phone Mania Do NOT FALL FOR THIS. If any one has been scammed buy them lets build up a police report for these thief's.Just to add you can report them here UK GOV NATIONAL CYBER SECURITY CENTRE https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/section/about-this-website/report-scam-website(MAKE SURE THE ABOVE ADDRESS IS ONE LINE NO SPACES. I HAD TO BREAK LINK AS TRUSTPIOLET DOES NOT ALLOW LINKS) It takes 2 min I just files a report and next stop is the Police station

“MOXTONS DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY (SCAMMERS)”
I BROUGHT A 30TB SSD FROM THEM AFTER A FEW DAYS THE DRIVE FAILED. THEY ARE SCAM SSD DRIVES USING IN MY CASE X2 250GB MICRO SD CARD AND A CONTROLLER CHIP PROGRAMMED TO SAY TO THE COMPUTER IT'S A 30TB INSTEAD OF SHOWING IT HAS TWO 250GB MICRO SD CARDS. YOU CAN ALSO GO THE TRUSTPILOT AND SEE LOTS OF BAD REWIEWS. THEY HAVE NEVER REFUNDED ANYONE. SO PLEASE DONOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
“Moxtons.co.uk told me to use amazon!”
Steer clear of these guys, never had such a bizarre shopping experience in my life as with www.moxtons.co.uk. Purchased a hard drive, then for some reason had an uncomfortable feeling, so within minutes requested to cancel as their cancellation policy described. One day later finally had a WhatsApp conversation with them, well never known anything like what transpired. Tip for consumers:I wish I had known the real nature of the people behind this business who clearly do not care about customer service.
“Do not order from these people”
Ordered something from them on 11 aug, lead time 5_8 days, which i thought was a touch excessive, its now 21st, still no delivery, I imagine theyre one of these poor companies who order your order in from china or mars. In this day and age an order when paid for should NOT take more than 4 days to deliver unless its built to order Tip for consumers:How poor they are
“Selling fake drives”
These are fake drives. Says 6tb ssd portable drive. Shows up only as 258gb. Upon closer inspection it's only 2 x 128gb sd cards inside. These are fake storage or spoof storage devices. Awaiting my full refund. No refund given and it's months later. No address, no phone number except a mobile phone number. Fake website, fake account details etc complete scam. Reported to police and trading standards and awaiting action. PLEASE DO NOT BUY!
“Did not received my item and did not received any respond to my call or email.”
I bought item in 9 Aug 23, but I did not received any respond yet, they just token money from my account and never answer the phone or email and still did not send me my item, I do advise all people to carefully with this compony,
“Do NOT buy from this company”
Ordered a 1tb external hd weeks ago from this company, and still waiting, no response no help. Avoid
“PLEASE DON't BUY ANYTHING FROM MOXTONS!”
PLEASE DON't BUY ANYTHING FROM MOXTONS! Their prices are tempting but the product are faulty and not to standard. In hope to receiving a refund, I still had to pay to send your item back, they got it back and I never heard from them again. I bought a 6TB SSD Hard Drive, took it out of the box and it was faulty. I couldn't plug the USB C cable to it. I sent them several emails, called and even texted them without no reply. Repeated this every 2nd day for another week and then I got an email from Evie Ward (*******@gmail.com), not even apologising, just saying to return to their address sending proof of delivery, and they would refund me. The truth is that they never got back to me and I never got my money back. I'm repotting them as fraudsters and will hope to get my money back. Tip for consumers:PLEASE DON’t BUY ANYTHING FROM MOXTONS!!!
“Sdd drive I bought whiped all my phone backup and gone forever”
Do NOT buy a sdd drive from them they are trash and it whiped all my back up from the last five years.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
