Is mountainwarehouse.co.uk Legit?

Consistent brilliant customer contact & consideration. Went in recently for a standard coffee flask & came out feeling that I had made an excellent choice & that I would always come back. I have never had a bad experience with this brand.

Bought £20 sandals from mountain warehouse, broke after 2 months of mild walking. Tried to call the branch we bought them from but the lines were clearly broken as they couldn't hear me, tried on many different phones. Poor customer service.

Bought MW’s 40 L Highland backpack for a 2-wk trip, walking but no strenuous climbing. R backstrap broke the morning of Day 2. Had to tie the remaining bits together. Nearly everything they sell now is poorly made, breaks or wears out quickly. They should be ashamed to be in business. After many years, I won’t be buying from MW any more.

Maidstone branch staff were excellent in every way - -so helpful, I bought lots of ski wear items - -and although they didn’t have my size in salopettes’ - the assistant kindly wrote down the code and type of salopettes I needed so that I could get them online and delivered the following day. This is what I call proper old fashioned service and excellent products, at an incredibly low price!! Thank you staff so much!! Kind regards Bernard Dodd

Excellent in store staff- Banbury SoreAs everyone else mentioned, sales ladies are great here unlike most other chain-shop places nowadays. I went to click and collect the order today and ended up buying a few other things. Annette did all the best she could do for me including giving 10% additional off on the already discounted items and negating the price of an energy bar. She was so cool and calm even at the end of the day, especially around the time when they closed for the day. Miriam makes good team members too, and will buy again, in-store if possible…

There’s a ski jacket my son really wants. We went to 2 stores yesterday. Atlantic Village and Barnstaple. Sadly neither had stock and nothing in his size online. BUT I can not begin to explain how amazing the customer service was. It was almost surreal- didn’t realise customer service like that still existed. Will never shop anywhere else for this type of clothing and gear. Nathan at Atlantic Village and then the manager (Roger?) and a lady at Barnstaple, thank you so much for your amazing, professional and friendly service. We appreciated it. While we didn’t get the jacket he wanted, we did get an alternative that my son is very happy with. Thank you.

Placed two orders. Last year, had to chase customer service as took 2 weeks to arrive.Tried them again this month. got email saying order was despatched. Waited for 2 weeks and then received a refund to my card without any communication from MW re why order couldn't be delivered or an apology.Worst customer service ever. They're obviously extremely understaffed

I visited the Dorking store and was served by The Manager Carol who was super helpful and friendly and ordered walking shoes in my size which I collected a few days later. She also helped me choosing thermal clothing, gloves and a snood. My dog was also made very welcome and given treats and water! So nice to have good old fashioned customer service! Thank you.

Bought 2 ladies fleece tops online in October had to return as they did not fit . Never received a refund mountain warehouse never respond to any emails would not buy again from them or recommend them . Really poor customer service

Get out and experience the failure, the disappointment and the let down from your decision to your customers. Top add to the pain you keep your customers money for up to 20 days before making a refund. Get a grip!

Strange reviews! I noticed their reviews, 51 in total, for a fleece jacket actually consist of about 10 reviews on repeat!!!! Are any of the reviews on their website genuine?????

Visited Mountain Warehouse store in Debden, Essex to return a HUGE online order of skiwear. (We needed to kit out the whole family with new ski gear and ordered online for ease, then returning what we didn’t want). We were greeted on arrival by Joe who was super friendly and efficient, even though I’m sure we were probably his worst nightmare, returning 50+ items at once. Joe really couldn’t do enough to help us, and more importantly continued to do so with a smile. Thanks Joe and sorry AGAIN for the huge return

Rambler boots supposed to be waterproof. A big fat lie like most of their false promises on the dodgy goods they sell. They did not even last 5mins in short wet grass and my feet were sodden. Never known such a useless boot or company. Zero customer service and not interested in complaints. stay away from these clowns rapidly going down the pan.

Bought Extreme Latitude Womens Waterproof Vibram Boots Dark Brown, didn't last six months before splitting. I contacted mountain warehouse and they said it was wear and tear, although they had split in the same place on each boot and the rest of the boots were on excellent condition. They offered a discount code, but would never buy from them again if they don't expect their boots to last longer than six months. 12 month guarantee is a joke!

Easy to use website. Immediate email confirmation for order. Delivery date provided. Although you would expect an express delivery when spending £100+ but it's a standard 5 working days. Nonetheless, recieved the item ordered and in good condition. Clothes sizes are spot on. Boot sizes are about 75% correct. Some are great fit, and some are a little too tight. Would recommend getting half size up.All in all, great stuff!

I recently bought a pair of hiking shoes and a jacket from MW. Both were advertised as waterproof and breathable. Neither of them are waterproof. The shoes were leaking after walking through 100m of short wet grass. The jacket leaked through after 30mins walking in a rain shower. I won't be buying anything of the sort from MW again.Also, you can only leave a product review on their website if you have been "invited" too. Enough said about the impartiality of most of those then.

Walking into work in the cold, my dog was shivering and needed something warm fast. I was inspired to stop by Mountain Warehouse, and they came to our aid amazingly, with the perfect Christmas-red coat that fit just right, and was even on sale. The staff were super-lovely, and I got a pair of much-needed gloves, half-price. MW is committed to keeping a presence in towns on High streets, and we should all support that!

I visited the Totnes store around 2/3 weeks ago looking to purchase a hoodie. Very poor customer service first of all with no help whatsoever! Unfortunately for some reason I was given the impression by staff that they thought I was planning on shoplifting!! There was no indication of this happening at all and one staff member in particular used the wrong judgment towards me!! Most of their products are made in China anyway, one biggest polluters on this planet!!

I ordered some winter cloths and used standard delivery (should be delivered with in 5 days). Where as it is been more than 8 days since when I ordered online and still waiting. I tried calling customer care number which I was not through, even they don't reply over the email about estimation arrival time. It is been very very poor experience with mountain warehouse. Never ever would buy anything from them in future. I suggest that one should not waste money buying online from them specially when they were required the stuff immediately.
