Is mobileciti.com.au Legit?

Copying my review from ProductReview to hopefully warn more people.If this review is too long try keeping in mind what going through this would be like and know you risk this experience buying from Mobileciti.I tried mediation before leaving this review. During my emails with them they blatantly ignored my consumer rights trying to put it on me to contact the manufacturer and obtain a refund and twice they showed they hadn't read my email at all.Even worse during mediation they still show they struggle to read messages before responding.They go by "Mobile World" on Kogan.com which I only found out by the address on their return label.They sold me a phone that started going into boot loops with less then three months usage. They suggested doing things such as forcing the device to shut down or updating software which of course you can't do if the phone is stuck turning on and off and can't even make it to the lock screen a majority of times.On top of ignoring my first message to them they won't acknowledge I sent two videos of the fault to them/Kogan.They seemed like they were trying to deter me saying I may pay for inspection and delivery fees on even though those costs are meant to be covered by the "extended care plan" on Kogan. Mobile World on Kogan has no direct phone support which is also advertised as part of their extended care plan. They claim the phone has no fault but when I told them they are free to send it back but if it delivers a fault I'll go straight to Fair Trade they insisted I contact the manufacturer, their responsibility, and request a refund. They insisted on it so I doubt they're confident there is no fault.Not only is that the retailers responsibility but keep in mind they have my phone. It's in their possession.Not to mention if their responses to my emails and messages is anything to go by clearly attention to detail is lacking.I sent them a PDF of Motorola's response and, until I once again had to encourage them to actually read my emails, they had not read it.Now they're saying Motorola, who asked for me to send in the phone, won't let them send in the phone and they can either return it to me or I can get a "partial refund" with no amount specified. I have reminded them again I said they could send it back but if the fault returned I would take a third video and go straight to Fair Trade.It's been weeks of dealing with them and I've opened a case with fair trade after realizing how big a waste of time trying to talk to them is.They're now suggesting every single time the boot loop issue occurs, keep in mind it occurred a dozen or so times over a period of several days and it was factory reset in the middle of that, I should factory reset my phone. They think completely resetting my phone multiple times is a viable solution instead of just giving me a refund.After I made them aware it's not practical to factory reset my phone every several hours they replied back starting "but we would like to mention that restoring the phone by connecting it to a computer is a slightly different process that might resolve the issue." because going to my PC, running software, every several hours and resetting it would be more practical?You can guess how helpful the rest of that email was. Now despite the fact I've told them via email I won't be making any calls with them, and I won't waste my time further with mediation on here, they still won't bother paying a decent amount of attention.Thankfully I had an extremely early morning because they messaged me at 1AM.

don't use these guys. I ordered a product, didn't hear from them for two weeks regarding a delivery date. I then chased my order up, and they advised that it was out of stock. Unless I had chased up my order, I don't think I would have ever heard from them again. First time I used them, and the last.

Very poor. I ordered a iphone via amazon realised it was cheaper than local retailers.When I asked for a price match they refused. I could not get a full refund as I had open the box but not used the phone. Buyer beware, use local retailers for better customer service

Do not use...dodgy dishonest company. bought "brandnew unopened box"Samsung galaxy s20 ultra smg988B, box has been opened and resealed, samsung sticker is cut with razor blade, then clear circle sticker seal stuck over the top...but the muppets didnt even line up the cut edges of the factory samsung sticker.haha. the box even has a sticker on the end handwritten says "tested ok". This despite messaging before purchase, and phoning to confirm the samsung sticker is undamaged prior to order.These gypsys need to be shut down! They use extremely dodgy delivery services that won't eve try to deliver your item, and the companies have no ways to follow up, just robots on the phone or chatbots online. Good luck ever getting what you bought without jumping through hoops

Only wants to show you the positive reviews from their own however base on what I had seen from this store is arrogant rude customer service from a Chinese own electrical Parramatta store. Unfriendliness and rude towards customers is unacceptable in terms of stuck attitude ! Also neither of them staff don't understand English that much ? Rudeness comes along way when it comes to this store.

Ordered two sets of earphones from mobileciti via dick Smith online shop for Christmas presents. Neither worked on Christmas Day. Received a refund after sending the product back with no explanation or apology. Seeing as both didn’t work seems like they are selling old stock.

Bad experience with mobile city I got a call just before Xmas they was offered me Vodafone connection and I phoned Pro X $70 per month after that they took my personal details after that they changed my Vodafone password and they sent a phone on my name for other people. then they use my personal I'd as well .. Very carefull before giving them any personal I'd I already put a complte in police station for them..

Purchased a watch on Ebay. Product was pricey and had terrible quality. Made the return and, surprise!"Please be advised that the return is under a change of mind which would be an 80% partial refund minus the postage as we are unable to replicate the fault reported. "I've been buying product on Ebay and Amazon for more than 10 years and never came across that type of policy. Don't be fooled by the prices and fast delivery. They even made me pay the return costs. I keep getting calls from this company. They claim to be working with EE or other networks claiming to offer better details.EE say this is a scam and they are NOT working with mobileciti or phonecity.I've asked for them to stop calling me, but every week I get another two calls from them.

I bought a g4 plus that did have a fault. They replaced it immediately with no hassle at all. To this day I am happy with the phone and the response. I cannot get instant replacement like that from any big retailer with phones - they all want to repair the thing. I am happy enough that I would buy again from them. I have been burnt in the past by DWS (that went to Fair Trading to eventually resolve - 3 months), Kogan (a tablet that came with a screen scratch - no resolution) and others. These guys seem straight up

This company know the Fair Trading officer well, for good reason, they don't respect consumer rights. They know, and rely on, how hard it is for consumers to get a successful outcome due to the number of hoops consumers must jump through. When you talk to a fair trading officer and they know the names of the people who own the business and who deal with complaints you know you have shopped at the wrong spot. Buyer beware... Still jumping through the hoops :(

Bad experience with the mobileciti online shopping. Instead of solving issues. Shop manager will find all the excuses to prove that the customer at fault to avoid the basic care for the customers. Really shocking experience among all the shopping that I had been done through the years.

Useless Seller, Brought item paid for it they shipped it out, then claimed an error reversed the shipping spent 7 days trying to get a refund to just go around in circles with absolutely terrible people 10/10 would NEVER BUY FROM AGAIN AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Ordered 3 items from mobileciti online and they only ever sent one, claiming they sent 3 to me. Biggest rip off company who never resolve any customer complaints Dont bother asking mobileciti for help. They accused me of lying, my household members of being theives and now trying to claim insurance from Auspost for something they never sent. They think the law and consumer rights doesht apply to them and unfortunately because the system is so complicated and time consuming, they seem to get away with it.

I bought a FitBit from Mobileciti via Amazon which arrived in April 2020. Both bands broke on the Fitbit in December 2020 so I sent them photos of the damage and requested replacement bands. They stated that they could not replace the bands as "appears it may have been subject to substances or force over a period of time not suitable for the device.", which is utter rubbish and their way of avoiding Australian Consumer Law. I was going to take this further but approached FitBit direct and they are sending me a replacement band. Avoid this company at all costs. They are cowboys pure and simple. This could have all been avoided if they had done the decent thing and replaced the bands for a few dollars or less.

I purchased a Sony Smartwatch 3 online from this retailer about a month ago and was very impressed with the price and service. The product was ordered on a Wednesday evening and delivered the following Friday morning in excellent condition (Fastaway Couriers were used instead of Australia Post, which may have made a difference). They are an eBay seller, but I purchased direct. This retailer also has a physical store in Parramatta and accepts PayPal and Credit Cards. I will definitely consider purchasing from this seller again when buying electronic products.

Very unethical, dishonest and unlawful. Will not refund on very faulty robot vacuum/mop product under warranty. Many emails are ignored and they have ignored the OFT of NSW.

They gave me fast delivery and an excellent produt in there Ebay store, I have delt with Mobilciti a few times and found them very good.

These people are criminals. They won't stop calling me. I have asked thousands of times for them to stop calling me and take me off their list. They are running an illegal call center there and it's ridiculous. They don't hang up when asked. Just outrageous and I have reported them to the ACCC AND THEY STILL DON'T STOP CALLING!
