microsoft.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives microsoft.com the absolute highest trust score on the platform: 100. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Safe. Secure. . We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this very high score? We came up with the 100 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to microsoft.com's industry. The algorithm detected no high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Safe. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we label this website as secure and trustworthy. We explain this in more detail below.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning microsoft.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between microsoft.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of microsoft.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of microsoft.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. microsoft.com is a secure website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether microsoft.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether microsoft.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, microsoft.com.

“Microsoft Needs To Just Shut Down.”
You are heavily censored when making comments on news articles. They treat commentators like they are third-world citizens. They definitely don't respect the First Amendment. Makes you wonder if it's not being ran by third-party citizens whose country heavily censors people. They will lock you out of your email with no explanation, except to say you violated some unknown rule, which they will not tell you about. The only way they will allow you to regain access to your account, is if you provide them your cell phone number, which is nothing more than a sneaky way to mine data out of users to sell to the highest bidder. Pure greed is all. Feedback is a total waste of time. They will not respond. They need to be boycotted until they change their practices. Service Value
“MICROSOFT CUSTOMER SUPPORT DOES NOT EXIST”
MICROSOFT WORST TO DEAL WITH THEY IGNORE CUSTOMERS AND IMMEDIATELY CHARGE TO FIX FAULTS WITHOUT INVESTIGATION... Microsoft is the worst company to deal with when you need support, they do not care except to take your money. The customer support is the most pathetic and unprofessional i have ever experienced. They pulled a figure of $300 to fix hardware issues but then told me it would most likely be more. Some ANDRES person or CHATBOT kept ignoring my questions and my emails to then close my case. Is this a scam? Even though these device issues are well documented by Microsoft they still expect me to pay. Don't get me started on Harvey Norman, where I purchased the device. They are just as pathetic and greedy. I will be doing my best to avoid both companies and i highly recommend you do too. Shameful, dishonest, and Un Australian. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Microsoft - a data disaster”
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the OneNote product and its recurring data loss issues. As a long-time user of Microsoft products, I have always held your company in high regard, but my recent experiences with OneNote have left me feeling frustrated and betrayed. It is disheartening to know that OneNote has a history of data loss problems. Despite this, Microsoft continues to allow users to input sensitive and important information into the application, only to have it disappear without warning. This is a significant flaw that has caused immense inconvenience and stress to countless users. I have personally experienced the frustration of losing valuable notes, documents, and research due to OneNote's data loss issues. This has had a negative impact on my productivity and has eroded my trust in the product. It is unacceptable that a company of Microsoft's caliber would allow such a fundamental problem to persist for so long. I urge Microsoft to take immediate action to address the data loss issues in OneNote. This could involve investing in more robust data backup and recovery systems, improving the application's stability, or providing users with clear and effective tools to prevent data loss. I hope that Microsoft will take my concerns seriously and work to restore my faith in OneNote. Tip for consumers:They dfon't really care Products used:I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the OneNote product and its recurring data loss issues. “Microsoft is Scamming Its Customers”
Microsoft is too big and rich for its own good. It sells you its products like Windows, Office and Microsoft 365 subscriptions at tens and even hundreds of dollars per year but does not give you any support. Most support requests are closed without any support being given and without your prior consent. In some cases the support requests are routed to Microsoft employees in third-world countries whose technical knowledge is non-existent and who speak English with such thick accents that they cannot be understood and you cannot communicate with them except by e-mail. E-mail messages are either ignored or Microsoft employees delete them without reading them. Contacting the BBB or the Washington State AG does not do any good as all they do is forward Microsoft's reply to you, and that reply is a haughty refusal to mend their ways. In short, Microsoft is scamming its customers, taking their money but not giving them vital product support. Tip for consumers:In the old days I gave Microsoft free feedback as a Windows beta tester and as a Windows and Office Insider. Microsoft gave me fair support. When I was unhappy with a support rep and complained to their top management they stopped answering my messages and began deleting them without reading them. Microsoft has treated me very unfairly and they need to apologize to me. Products used:Microsoft 365 Personal subscription Service Value Returns Quality
“Microsoft's Delivery Dilemma: A Software Saga”
Purchasing software from Microsoft presents a mixed bag of experiences. On the plus side, their product range is extensive, covering a wide range of productivity and entertainment solutions. Additionally, their website is user-friendly, making it easy to browse and order items. However, the downside is the inconsistency in delivery times. While some orders arrive promptly, others face unexpected delays without clear communication. Furthermore, the difficulty in reaching customer service for assistance adds to the frustration. In summary, while Microsoft offers convenience and a diverse product range, improvements in delivery reliability and customer service responsiveness are necessary for a more seamless shopping experience.
“Standard, you get what you pay for”
Have been tied in to the microsoft ecosystem since being a kid. Basically everything works, as long as it is up to date. Otherwise it really doesn't seem to sync if you are not up to date. MS Excel rules my life. Value Quality
“$#*! YOU $#*!ED $#*! $#*!ING COMPANY”
Microsoft is an absolute $#*!ing disaster of a company. Their software is riddled with bugs and glitches, their updates are a $#*!ing nightmare, and don't even get me started on the $#*!ing customer service. You'd have better luck getting blood from a goddamn stone than getting any real help from those useless $#*!s. And let's not forget about their products. $#*! Microsoft Office, that $#*! is so overpriced and clunky, it's a $#*!ing wonder anyone can get any work done using that garbage. Oh, and don't even get me started on Windows. That operating system is a cluster$#*! of epic proportions. It crashes more often than a drunk driver on a Saturday night, and half the time you can barely even get it to $#*!ing boot up. $#*! Microsoft and everything they stand for. They are a $#*!ing scourge on the tech industry and I hope they burn in hell for all eternity. Tip for consumers:Microsoft is a goddamn joke. How the $#*! can a company with so much money and resources be so goddamn incompetent? Their operating systems are more buggy than a $#*!ing anthill and don't even get me started on their $#*!ty $#*!ing updates that always seem to $#*! up my computer. And don't even get me started on their stupid $#*!ing Office suite, always crashing and losing my goddamn work. $#*! Microsoft and their overpriced bull$#*! products. I swear, they must hire a bunch of braindead monkeys Products used:I have never encountered a more goddamn $#*!ty excuse for a gaming platform than the mother$#*!ing Microsoft App Store. Every goddamn game on there is either a rip-off piece of $#*!, riddled with $#*!ing microtransactions, or just plain $#*!ing boring. Do these lazy-$#*! developers even give a $#*! about the quality of their games, or are they just in it for the damn money? And don't even get me started on the mother$#*!ing lack of variety in game selection. It's like they just keep $#*!ting out the same generic garbage over and over again. $#*! Microsoft and their sorry excuse for a gaming platform. I'd rather stick my head up a $#*!ing donkey's $#*! than waste my time and money on their bull$#*! games.
“Sick and Tired”
When the hell will you quit messing with my computer? Did you but it or did I buy it. It came with your operating system, by no choice of mine. Now, YOU don't think the operating system is good enough? This computer operates a security gate, letting those who have a passcode get through. Every time you come down from your ivory tower and F*** with it, it quits opening the gate. Stop already.
“Sims4 expansion pack cost”
This company literally sucks. I was on the phone for over an hour with three different people because sims 4 says the snowy escape expansion pack is 19.99 and EA shows 35.99. The representatives saw the same thing and that the price was recently adjusted, YET they could not price match and now want me to contact the developer. Utter BS. Just want to boycott the whole entire system and this screwed up multibillionaire company. Service Value
“Answering machine hung up on me”
I called to talk to someone that could help me with my Microsoft account. The answering machine just sent me a link to he website that didn't help either cause the problem that i have didn't exist on the website when it says ¨what can we hel you with¨. I tried to call again but the answering machine just hung up on me and now i can't do anything.
“Terrible company”
Terrible company. Ive been trying to contact technical support but they're so trash. I signed up for a free trial for microsoft word and it took around 80 bucks from me and i've been trying to get it back but microsoft has the worst customer service. Tip for consumers:terrible company. Ive been trying to contact technical support but they’re so trash. “There are no words to describe how bad Microsoft is. It is customer ABUSE.”
There are no words to describe how bad Microsoft is. There customer service is horrendous. It doesn't exist. They should be shut down and the Government needs to look into it. No company should be allowed to operate this way. It's complete customer abuse.
“Email correction”
I purchased Microsoft 365 personal for my home computer. I have tried every way I can to get myself set up into the system on my laptop and it will not let me access anything because it says my email address is being used by someone else. That's someone else is me. The email address they have in the system for my name is incorrect. Whatever I do whoever I call wherever I chat or email I cannot get it corrected. Therefore of course I after trying this for 2-3 weeks I canceled the subscription and immediately got a refund. That's just so bizarre they cannot help me so I can utilize their program. I don't know what to do and unfortunately there is no other venue I can approach to get this program in my laptop. Excuse me this software in my laptop.
“Microsoft Customer Service Is Trash”
Microsoft products are great - very useful, very reliable. But their customer service is absolutely trash. It's impossible to speak to a live agent unless you have a Microsoft business account (I guess they don't care about their regular, home-user customers. They incorrectly charged me for 3 months for a product subscription I don't have and when I called to have this corrected, I couldn't speak to anyone. Their automated system will literally hang up on you (and their AI is so well done that it will remember your number and continue to hang up on you if you call back and try to go through different prompts!). At this point, I have to cancel my credit card number and have a new number issued just to stop having to pay for this fraudulent subscription. If there was ever a reason to switch from Microsoft to Apple, this is it for me. I'm not paying any company for a service/product I didn't ask for, and I'm not paying for crap customer service.
“Microsoft got hacked- no help what-so-ever”
My account got hacked with only the email that was under the account and the email and phone number was changed. Tried everything I could to get anything back but there is no human being that works to help you and automated response is absolutely useless. Service Value Shipping Returns
“I got scammed by an indian man”
Im a 69 year old grandpa and my little grandkid said that my computer got hacked and it started playing very weird noises and music and It started saying WAP and other absolutely diabolical statements and when it started playing I almost died of a heart attack and exploded because of the unchristian music. Later that day I contacted Microsoft support and they said that I had to pay all of my savings and give them my social security number but then the bank called me and now I'm in jail for tax fraud because a big bulky indian man commited tax fraud with my band account.
“Community standards”
Microsoft banned my account because they didn't like my real life name. It violates their standards. I'm not sorry because my last name represents people that fought for this country all the way back to the Revolutionary War. Censorship is going too far. I contacted them and they refuse to correct their censorship and referred to it as inappropriate. Discrimination against a family that served since the American Revolution is something they claim makes a better platform. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Xbox launch”
How do you launch a console and 7 months later it's still not available. Who's ever brilliant idea it was to make it online only should be fired. So now every $#*! in the world is buying them all and selling them at double the price. That should be Illegal! Just saying bad job all around. I mean if you can't make enough you should of waited to launch. I own every x box out there but looks like I'm swimming to Nintendo. Cause Sony sucks too!
“Cyberpowerpc Purchase from Microsoft by L V”
This is my first computer that I have bought on Microsoft.com and it's a prebuilt PC from CyberPowerPC, amazing people who made the best pre-built PC anyone could have asked for. They did a far better job than I expected, and I already expected great things. Ordering was simple and the list of tech specs made it easy to figure out exactly what I was getting. There would be no surprises. Shipping was fast and the computer came tight in a box with protective bags inside the case to protect all the innermost parts. That means I got it without any scuff marks or damages. Using the guide that came with the computer, I quickly got it running. Purchasing a CyberpowerPC from Microsoft was a great experience and would recommend others to do the same especially if you're looking to get the best pre-built computer available. “Not a big fan of Microsoft at the moment”
Not a big fan of Microsoft at the moment. I bought a lap top last year with Windows 8 and updating the OP system to 8.1 is a real nightmare. If my computer is not ready for the update, it could end up ruining the hard drive, etc. Should have bought a Mac instead..
“Guess the $#*!s who bought and ruined xbox”
Yes you read that review right. It is of course Microsoft. I do like Xbox and Their Computers but they ruin everything. One time one of their employees didn't know what windows 98 was and said there was no windows 98 which is just weird but funny. Tip for consumers:Use anything but microsoft Products used:Their Operating Systems since childhood Service Value Quality
“Microsoft”
Scammers! Your products are terrible and half fast made! Then you ban people for no reasoning at all! I really hope this company falls the $#*! part absolutely terrible! An I hope everyone goes to PlayStation cause they actually care for there customers! And if I could give your terrible company a zero star rating I would in a heart beat!
“Not helpful”
Microsoft needs to come back to reality. When people need help. That means they need a real person to help. My son has had an account for years and a lot of games. We by a new xbox one and this crap happens. Can't log in,can't remember password. Then their recovery crap. Not useful. We put in all the correct information to be told it is not sufficient. We'll microsoft your so called help is not sufficient. Sad that you could not be real with the help and allow us to talk with real human people that knows how to run your system crap. Tip for consumers:I didn't by a product. We are made to have an lame account with Microsoft for Xbox. Xbox needs to find something better than Microsoft for anything. A real person to talk to would be more sufficient than Microsoft crap.
“False requests”
I keep getting e-mails from Microsoft about renewing my subscription. However, these seem to be scams since I am paid up until June 2022. Of course they all ask for my credit card, but their other requests are complicated and potentially intrusive.
“Microsoft is the coldest form of people and spiteful that hide and act like cowards”
This company had me waiting for 2 hours and never came bake to help they are cowards, and they stopped telephone help like everyone else no good. Tell you why they're a technical team and Microsoft has big problems with their activation, many people are having issues. We should all stick together and don't use Microsoft until they get their phones working again that will not happen. Let them keep stepping on us. Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a
fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.
