metrobankcard.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives metrobankcard.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 87. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 87 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to metrobankcard.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning metrobankcard.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between metrobankcard.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of metrobankcard.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of metrobankcard.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. metrobankcard.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether metrobankcard.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether metrobankcard.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, metrobankcard.com.

Metrobankcard’s Rewards program isnt what it used to be. What is more disappointing is the manner how they have downgraded their Rewards program without any consideration of their cardholders Rewards point balance. It goes to show you how they don’t value their cardholders anymore.
Pinakamakunat na bank ang Metrobank Card in terms of waivers ng late charge, FC, and AMF. Other banks will consider your credit history for the waiver pero tong bank na to ang walang pakialam - as in literal na walang pakialam based sa experience ko. I will cancel all my cards with them once tapos na mga intallments ko. Terrible experience, better keep your other cards, wag lang to.
Been using this card for 6 years now and fortunately Its giving me quite a good service and i love how it is linked to my metrobank online banking so it gives me convinient to pay bills. Hope it gives more perks and discount.
My card yet again failed to allow me to use it today, again the bank did nothing, oh they did say come to branch to get a new card...... So I have to take time out, travel to the branch, pay to park to rectify a problem they have, would they like me to serve some customers and clean up for them aswel. Absolute Joke
I use this card whenever I purchase items and I love the functionality of Metrobank online. You can easily send money to other banks and to GCash. Thanks for the great service.
I have several credit cards and been a credit cardholder for almost 2 decades and Metrobank is worst by far experience I had: 1. They won't waive late fee. They don't have this "one time courtesy" as most other banks observe if it's the first time you were assesed. As in touch move talaga kahit magmakaawa ka. The second time I was assesed with late fee and finance charge was not my fault as my payment was not posted due to tech issue with my other bank's mobile banking system. Nope, valid charge daw even if I presented proof I attempted to make payment on time. Sobrang desperado kumita sa late fees. 2. They also have worst customer service when you call their hotline. Sobrang fragmented at mukhang undertrained mga staff sa product knowledge. Pagpapasa pasahan ka hanggang pwede lumusot. I had this question about dubious email when they send their statement. At first it looks like a phishing email because It asks you to click on the attachment so I called their hotline to verify. I've been to 3-4 representatives; kesyo fraud daw issue ko may separate department, na credit card related daw, hiwalay ang deposit related sa credit card related issues, may concerned unit daw na naghahandle ng issue ko etc etc. Another instance, even if I just had a promo related question I went thru all these security questions and was put on hold for about 5 minutes. Grabe ang lala!! 3. Their online banking. They don't have this dedicated app for credit card to track your charges(as of October 2022) if you're a credit card customer only with them. You will be referred to their ultra slow jurassic credit card website to check your account. Pang rural bank ang level and reminds me of the early days of digital banking of BPI 20 years ago. Worst experience so far and I will not go back to this bank. I'd rather keep my Citibank and BPI credit cards and keep telling and warning my friends not to try this bank's credit card.
I have called the hotline number and was told that the card was endorsed to the courier in March 24,2023.The card might be lost in transit even though I have the correct address on file. The CSR that I have talked to earlier was able to confirm that everything on file is correct.I was also informed that I do not have the option to track the courier online, there is no way for me to check it myself unless I will the hotline everyday.Given this fact, it is highly unlikely that dealing with Metrobank Philipines is not good decision in life. For several reasons:1. No way of tracking the courier2. Customer service is not professional and not helpful in most cases.3. Long wait time, long hold time. Agents does not even care about their customers.4. The service is not promising5. Email turn around time is too long.6. Platinum is nor really platinum, the perks are too tight for them to call it platinum hence they are charging 5k as annual fee.7. There is a mobile app but it is no good. only has 2 star rating in google play store.I tried to cancel my card and the agent that I talked to transferred me but it took so long to get to the agent, so I dropped the call because it has been 15-20mins in que. Not sure if this is a delaying tactics for the cancellation department to avoid customer that will cancel their account, maybe their performance metrics will be affected if they accept my call.
All 1-star review I read here are true.I moved abroad with active installment. I paid religiously nonetheless. I forgot to close the account after I completed the payments. Auto renewal kicked in. I didn't realize that until I started getting emails from collections.Started a long back and forth of me requesting to waive the late fees and I'll just pay the annual fee. Solid no, everytime. I ended up paying the renewal and fee.. and then told them to cancel my card as I have no use for it.. and because of the bad experience. So hard to get a hold of anyone, and when you do, it's always back to square one!!Few months later, they refunded everything - annual fee and charges, thus getting a negative balance in my account. But this process took a long while that soon after, I was charged again of the annual fee! Because I have overpayment reflected, it was automatically paid. That started this ongoing (as of Dec 2022) saga of getting my refund back. I told them back in September that I have repeatedly asked to cancel the card and they even asked me to donate my points! They gave me options to get my refund. At the time, I opted for check because I have been living abroad without any PH bank account.November, I had a sudden trip to PH and told them about it so I can pick up my check. They said that's not an option anymore, and I need a bank account under my name. This is despite I repeatedly emphasized for months and months that I have no local account at all. Are they expecting me to open and maintain an account just for this?! I am not provided with any viable option. Told me in one email that they can pay via a metrobank acct under and explicitly added it should be under my name, or any bank account but did not specify if it should be under my name. I gave them my husband's. They responded only to clarify that it should be my account and left it at that. No alternatives. Like, can it be a joint account as long as it has my name? Or must be just my name? I will be telling them to wire me my money abroad to my active dollar account and I am expecting them to say it will be net of the fees.. because they're sh*ty like that. Their email response is 2 to 3 days EACH. So yeah, it's dragggging.. International number is useless!!To do business with them is a stupid move. Stay away.
You cannot use their credit cards to purchase anything online from overseas as irrespective of the price displayed they will make additional unspecified charges irrespective of any receipt or confirmation of payment when this is shown in Pesos.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
