Is meridianbusinesssales.co.uk Legit?

this company is now called OBS online business salesi signed a contract 9 years ago to sell my business in that 9 years they never sent one potential buyer. the business was also reduced a lot through the years, i finally sold with another estate agent the fees were good for what they did.I phoned maridian/obs a few years ago asking if i took it off the market what was my fee it was £1500 which i thought was ok,then within a week of selling my business they sent me a bill for £9600 i was very shocked after phoning them they said because i had not told them it was in the process of selling the fee appliedi got legal advice but because they had advertised for us we had to pay.i did managed to get it down to £8600 i would stay away from this company at all cost

Please do not touch Meridian with a barge pole. They are a company that claim to try and sell your business but after 3 years they have not attempted to sell or produce a single enquiry. They are an extremely lazy company and if you try and terminate the contract they demand over £2,000 for doing absolutely no work for you. They are very unprofessional in dealings with their clients. This company is not registered with Trust pilot and now I know why! My advice again is NOT to use them ever.

Avoid, AVOID, Avoid, AVOID, choose someone else, anyone else, google them, do your research first.Whatever you do, DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!!If you want advice from a previous customer JUST SAY NO!It will cost you if you don’t !!!!Worst experience of my life with any company. Let’s put it this way, I feel duty bound to protect anyone else from experiencing what I did.Keep away, don’t bother, look after yourself and don’t give them the privilege of taking your hard earned money!There are lots of elements I have left out of this review, ask yourself why, why would I not say what I actually want to ?Be very very very careful & please do you’re research!

If I could give Meridian 0 stars I would, they are a scam company who have absolutely no morals or compassion at all. Do not put your business up for sale with them. We had our business up for sale with them for 4 years and only had a handful of viewers and only once we demanded that they drastically reduced the price as it was way over priced. Unfortunately due to Covid our business suffered and we took the devastating decision to liquidate the company and close down. Meridian then decided that because we had not sold the business that we were out of our contract and that we owed them £7000!!! They said that I had signed as personal guarantee, which I had no idea that I had and if I didn’t pay they would take me to court! Because they had a signed contract they had me over a barrel and so we’ve had to pay. Lost our business and livelihood and now this on top too. Absolutely vile company. Avoid them at all costs and find a company that actually work for their money to sell your business.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Absolutely appalling so called company, we regret the day they ever cold called us by phone, we’re still trying to fire them after more than 8 years! All they’re after is your hard earned money for nothing in return, a total cowboy outfit! AVOID!

The company is meridianbusinesssales.co.uk however they are not on trustpilot, who's at fault here.I employed them to sell my business a couple of years ago. They did not. They wanted me to pay a fee, I would not. They took me to court, sadly no one won. The long and the short of it is that they are lazy, con you into thinking you are advertising on their website, which isn't even ranked, and that is their 'get out' clause. They advertise you, no one sees it, you don't sell your business and then they want paying. I met their legal guy, he didn't care. If I was dodgy, I'd have destroyed on the spot. To all you like minded people, give them a wide birth. To their legal representative come and see me.

Scam, sign the paperwork, and you owe them for life, business failure, sale to an in-house member of staff.. they just hound you.. for their fat payday

Don’t touch them with a barge poll , had our business on never sent 1 person through the door just wanted us to drop the price, came to the 52 week contract ending and they want 2k absolutely disgusting don’t use walk away plent out there that do not charge after a year

Well what can I say? I've never known or dealt with such an under hand fraudulent company in my life!!! I've been with them for five and a half years and in this time they have sent me ONE viewing!! ...I have recently gone into receivership unfortunately...I'm gutted as I had my successful business for 23 years 😪....the cost of living crisis has made my business go bust and obviously I'm gutted....I told them this and instead of them saying 'oh I'm really sorry to hear that' I got a snotty reply from them saying 'someone will be in touch to discuss this further' ....I was really upset they never acknowledged that I'm going through a really tough time, it was so inhumane. Like they are used to it and are just robots with no empathy for others...I've since had a bill from them for £5,400! What have they done for me as a client for them to charge me £5,400??????And ive had bullying threats about court etc 😲🤢....wow!! How can this company still be trading? They are a complete scam...I will be reporting them to trading standards and I suggest others do too...they need shutting down...they are bullies trying to extort cash from companies during such hard times...as a limited company with no cash left I am not liable personally for any outrageous payment they are trying to force me into paying but apparently in the contract i signed they tricked me into be a personal guarantor! Surely this is illegal? The whole point of being a Ltd Company is that you aren't liable personally for any debts......absolutely vile and disgusting....i hope Karma bites them in the posterior....i will be asking the Universe to do her work....what goes around comes around remember that....and so it is....don't mess with a wiccan

This is the first time that I have ever bought a business, a very scary experience but so excited to get started. I wanted a business to suit my lifestyle after relocating, the girls in the sales team took the time to get a good understanding of what I was looking for and regularly sent me details of a variety of businesses and, at last, I found the perfect one. Shocking company. Too lazy to respond to requests for information and too lazy to even respond to a complaint after over 8 weeks. No response to email request stopping them marketing my property.Literally don't care about you or your business. Please avoid
