Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 64.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to mercurycards.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning mercurycards.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between mercurycards.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of mercurycards.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of mercurycards.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. mercurycards.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether mercurycards.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether mercurycards.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, mercurycards.com.

The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. I made attempt to purchase a item on Amazon, they declined. Then I called and inquired why .They said it was the amount .The amount was a third of my approve credit limit. Then I wanted to pay my balance of 14.92 then they wanted to review my account. AND they asked me why Amazon declined.I told her you folks declined it.Then after my acct review she transfers me to another rep, Which then I was finally able to pay off my balance of 14.92.Too much of a hassel and time wasted to do business with, oh I did make the purchase with Amazon on another card.I have near a 800 credit score and have many options that I can utilize with out these accusatory and ineptitude. Nobody seems to know what there doing
I got this card about 10 year’s ago when it was Barclays to rebuild my credit after divorce etc. since Mercury or “First Trust” took over my card has been hacked 3 times- have had to get replacement cards and now they are accusing me of charges I didn’t make even though they sent me Fraud alert email and text messages back in October 2024. I have re-established myself pretty darn well in 10 + years and I don’t need this card anymore. The cyber security in this company is apparently not up to speed on how to protect their customer accounts. Paid this off and won’t ever use again and will most likely shut down even if it pings my credit score
Paid my payment plan in full. Have letters saying zero balance and Plan paid in full. And now they are charging my closed account a late fee $30 every month. Horrible customer service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
After 18 months of loyal, large payments with zero late payments and an unblemished payment history, I discovered what I was worth to Mercury: (1) my 30.74% STATED interest rate ended up being 35%; (2) I attempted to pay off my Mercury balance with a balance transfer from another card, only to be told by Mercury that I have to be 'invited' by Mercury to do so...and was flatly told I was not 'invited'; (3) 7 weeks after I fully paid off my account, I was charged $2.93 'interest' on a very-small cash-advance I'd made...remember, the balance was now fully paid-off. This so-called 'elite' card is being run by amateurs. AVOID THIS SLUMCARD.
At first, I really liked the Mercury card company, but I recently got into a car accident and almost killed me and I’ve been out of work for eight months trying to get my life back together and working through physical therapy. It has been really rough very hard very stressful. There was a couple of times I thought about just Forgetting it all but I’m finally getting slowly back on my feet and I paid these people $700 lump sum and there was $300 left to pay on the account so do the math and instead of being happy and thankful about that. They decided to tell me about myself and tell me how I should’ve been paying my account on time and maybe I would be able to use it because they decided to just simply cut me off put me on a payment plan which means I can’t use my card now and even though I brought it down to $300 there’s still being rude to me And just telling me that this is what happens when you don’t pay your bill despite the fact that I told her that I was in an accident, so I’m gonna take this to my lawyer add this to it so that when it comes to suing, maybe somebody will give a damn about me and not just their damn pocket I would not use this company unless you are secured in a job and plan on not dying getting in an accident or any of your family members. They don’t care they just care about getting their money and their rude Or at least the last two ladies I talked to were! I wish I can shut this card off completely and shove their money down their throat. I have been a faithful paying customer for years and this is how they treat people when their having major issues in their life or hello other bills besides them I have to catch up on toowhich they don’t even consider, they don’t care if you got an electric or rent or food or another child to take care of! According to them there’s just no excuses when it comes to paying you’re debt with Mercury she basically said! Take my advice stay away there’s better companies out there who actually care and listen and don’t threaten you or tell you about yourself!! 😤
Biggest Liars biggest thieves they will reap what they sow this company doesn't deserve no stars they are some Liars they are some thieves and they are Satan's puppets. Greed is there first last name. They stole from me big time 😡 but that's ok you Liars you will lose more than what you stolen. Sorry puppets 😡 you people are going down, and you deserve it. I will never refer you puppets to anyone, not even my worsts enemies, no you deserve everything coming your way, you BIG LIARS AND THIEVES
Mercury Credit card was simple to get .. have not had any problems with them credit increases were easy online billing is easy
I deposit three accounts between payments 11,14 and 20 none went to my credit. Wrote FTC and BBB pretty sure not accredited so that's probably useless. I can see this happen once no way multiple times unless a crooked person working at Mercury or told to do so.
After paying off the credit card, I received an email that stated that my credit limit was reduced.Admittedly, I was paying the minimum; however, I guess that it didn't suffice for them. They claim that I had "delinquent payments"...but I don't believe that to be the case. At any rate, I'm going to cut the card up and use my other credit card. Since they claim that I was delinquent, I will not even use it all. They don't deserve my business...and I would advise anybody to stay away from Mercury!
I made a purchase to a company (arc marketing, CMG direct) last November. This company hasn't called me, given me an update or returned my calls.I wrote and call Mercury cards to try to get the money reversed. To no avail!!!!They kept saying there was no billing error! It's not a billing error, the company didn't provide a service that they promised. So, I'm out $3500.00!!!Why can't they reverse these charges. What Mastercard is actually doing is calling me a liar!!!MIKE UHRIG
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Never apply for this card, far from helping you, they hurt you more! Terrible customer service, customer service yells at you and treats you badly, they give you unacceptable answers and I spoke with a supervisor who couldn't even give an adequate answer. They drain your money with interest! Stay away from these people!
The application process was fast, and I was approved without much fuss. But - they omitted the second line of my address in their system, and without it, the piece of mail with the card bounced.Tried to add that second line online - system error, call this number.Called the number, asked for the card, they couldn't do it, because "the system" makes them wait 7-10 business days after changing the customer's address. (Mind you, it wasn't a change of address). So I have to call AGAIN 7-10 business days later. They didn't even offer to just mail the damn thing after 7-10 business days. I have to call again. And overnighting it costs $25.The site looks very old school.
this is the worst credit card company I have worked with, and little I knew about them they have one of the highest interest rate and worst services and their fees are ridiculous. they charge fee for breathing. I regret I got the card and DO NOT RECOMMEND it for anyone even though your credit is not good.
I transferred my balance to a no interest card. They will not update my balance with Transunion or Equifax even though I have a 0$ balance. Hence my credit score is suffering because it shows I owe 2000$ plus dollars more than I really do. Can't get a major purchase at a good rate cause it reads a fair score when I am at a very good. I called customer service. Was lied to. My score was not updated. I am disputing. Do not recommend.!!!!
I love our mercury card! Weve had it a couple of years and our increases have steadily happened. Its up to $5600 and its been a wonderful asset!!
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!! Constantly reported a bankruptcy to my credit in error. Like how can you make such an error!!!! Hurt my score over 30pts. Got it resolved, they gave my an increase, and the reported bankruptcy again and closed the card….beyond frustrated!!!!
Been a customer for years, asked for 2-days grace period to pay bills without being charge insane $40 for late fees I have been denied, horrible, will close the account ASAP for me.
I am unable to order a replacement card on their website, wasting time. They indicate I need to call up their customer service number and I have a cold and am unable to speak easily. In this day and age, something like this should be something that should be able to be done on the website. Most other cards have a more convenient website. If you prefer using the phone to contact your credit card company, they are fine. If you really prefer to do things online, I would suggest using another credit card company.
I would advise everyone to stay away from this company called Mercury. I got a pre approved offer for $4k applied and got approved but they did not send me the card for a month and started charging me monthly fees. I tried updating my address to no avail, they kept on lying about sending the card to my previous address which I tried to change the day I applied but the app nor their reps would let me change the address until a later date. I called in three times and finally got hold of the supervisor who did not even respond well provided her fake name and refused to acknowledge that I had called in three times earlier to try to change my address. She was so rude…and had no customer service skills,I received all mail from my previous address except theirs which is so funny..,Also she advised that it’s going to take another 10 business days from the date I advise her again of the address change… I cancelled my card and would advise please stay away from Mercury..I wish I could give them 0 stars
I was happy to be approved for this credit card. However, I had a major problem just logging in. The site is not set up to accommodate those disabled with their hands. I am age 72 with Parkinson's disease. I have hand tremors hard to manage. When you enter a password there is no way on the site to show it to see if you have typed correctly. I did manage to get them to type my email correctly after they had it wrong. But I have not yet been able to get in. They locked me out repeatedly without saying why. Staff is not experienced with needs of the disabled. So if you are disabled, I suggest look elsewhere. I told hem I can pay by mail or by phone, which should be enough. But I will not be using their site at all. here is an email from mercury:I have an email from Mercury but no way to insert it here. My conversations were on phone or by text,

I had a fraud case. Mercury would not stand behind my purchase. Closed the fraud case on me with the dispute resolution dept. ABSOLUTELY NO HELP FROM THIS COMPANY THEY CAN KISS MY $#*!! I Closed this awful card with Mercury. DO NOT THINK ABOUT GETTING THIS AWFUL CARD. THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE BEYOND TERRIBLE. If I could them a 0 rating I definitely would Tip for consumers:Sold a piece of $#*! coat claiming it was a carhartt coat and paste a carhatt plastic sticker on the front of coat. TSHIRTONLINEOUTLET.
“HORRIBLE CREDIT CARD-STAY AWAY!”
This is by far the WORST credit card company for fraudulent activity! I've spent HOURS on the phone with this company every time I get a new card because there are MORE fraudulent charges on my card! I've LITERALLY waited OVER TWO hours to talk to someone each time I've called! Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company!
“Multiple Fraud cases”
After speaking again with Mercury Card (First Bank & Trust), they have denied my fraud claim. Apparently I am now on the hook for over $3000 worth of fraudulent balance transfers, even though I reported it while still pending that it was not authorized by me or anyone that I know. I have filed a CFPB complaint, but they do not seem concerned. They refuse to give me a reason the claim was denied.
“Not surprised at all”
I am personally not a customer of Mercury card services and NEVER will be after knowing the things I know and seeing the things I've seen. And especially after reading SO SO many reviews all saying the same thing pretty much. That there was fraudulent activity on their accounts and yet they were still held accountable for them! I'm not surprised at all to see that people say their customer service is the worst as well. Because I personally know one of their customer service employees and have seen with my own eyes their work days at home smoking meth and other assortments of drugs and alcohol all while stealing people's personal information! Names, SS numbers, birthdays, addresses, bank and credit card account numbers and information, even the answers to the identification verification questions asked. It's not surprising at all that there are so many fraud cases reported with them when they hire drug addict criminals to represent their customer service! I've tried to contact someone at Mercury Card services and the actual company that employees the work from home employee im referring to,so to make them aware of these terrible and illegal things their employee(s) are doing and have gotten no where and no response from anyone. I do not blame First Bank & Trust for im sure they have no roll in the hiring process or even knowledge of the people IQOR is hiring. I just pray that someone somewhere who works directly with them will see my numerous reviews I'm posting and contact me so that they can stop loosing very good valuable customers over the lack of capability to do a more thorough and diligent hiring process. Start making their employees have random drug test, remote workers especially. Because like.i said I've seen it with my own eyes ( and I am willing to give a name but only to the correct company official) and the drugs play a big role in why their employees are defrauding THEIR customers. I wouldn't recommend this card for one reason and one reason only and it would be for this because it is actually a very good elite card with low interest and great rewards!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
