Is mercatox.com Legit?

I have been trading at Mercatox, a cryptoexchange since Jan 2024 and tried to withdraw on 3/11/2024, which was not honored. Mercatox is claiming that I was suspected of profiting from illegal operations without providing any evidence. Furthermore, Mercatox demanded that I should put up additional 8% of my asset for a ‘security audit fund’ for verification within 7 working days. If the payment is not made, Mercatox asserts its authority to transfer the assets to either the National Tax Department or to a charity. But, none of Mercatox's responses were outlined in the Terms of Use (ToU). Even if the payment is made, the exchange reserves the right to review trades at its sole discretion.So, in summaryblocked withdrawal for unfounded accusations, excessive audit fees, no appeal process, asset seizure are what I'm experiencing at Mercatox.

DO NOT BUY INTO THE FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS, STAY AWAY, SAVE YOUR MONEY. I posted a review on Mercatox 3 years ago registering my discussed as they put GRT token on a prolonged maintenance. Having invested £1,500 in grt I am absolutely outraged that three years later it is still under maintenance. No response to any communication. After over 4 years experience with this company if I can a wholeheartedly confirm they are a fraudulent, unethical, scam company. I'm compiling a legal package against Mercatox, if anyone would like to contribute their issues/experiences to this please feel free to contact me.

Great exchange! I'm really confused why people are saying otherwise as I have had no problems with this exchange.. maybe they used to be different in the past? But I recently started using and it works great, just like most other good exchanges, not had any problems sending, receiving or trading crypto. Hope they do really well in the future, keep up the good work guys!

Few years ago im try using this exchange is on 2019, no isue on those time then now feb 2021 started to use again.Then i found this problemI requested my doge withdrawal on 26 feb 2021 it's was still pending till now 28feb that's about 37 hours since i requested that, my money stuck on it trying to chat support they say gonna process it manually in 24 hours but i still not receive my doge.Im gonna keep update this review till i received my withdrawal. hope will getting better for next update Best regards Aksel

Absolute disgrace of platform. They hold my holdinds hostage (in their terms maintenance) for more than 2 years now. Exchange rates are crazy bad and fees extortionate. This is pure robbery

I withdrew my BTC funds and still haven't received them. Transaction history shows its "Still Processing" HOWEVER, its been 1 week and counting. NO Funds have shown up anywhere. The other wallet the BTC are supposed to be deposited into hasn't even shown a "Receiving" or "Confirmation in Process" in regards to the deposit. My $$$$ is literally stuck in space somewhere. Poor support not answering.Also fake volume,just check LTC/BTC pair and you will see that nobody didnt putted those buy orders and sell orders but there is still trades at those prices ,their stuff is buying from themself to pump daily volume.Also we cant withdrawal litecoin for more then 2 weeks but some guy in chat told me that I should buy litecoin because it is very cheap.Also there is too much scammers in their chat.SCAM exchanger

Do not use Mercatox,The only sincere trading market is that for BTC/ETH. It is the only one which is not manipulated. Every other coin is being praised by some sh#t chatbox. As soon as you buy a coin, they'll manipulate the price down and you will never make a revenue of that certain coin. It seems as if the trading volumes are very high, but if you look at the history market you'll see trade insanely big sells and buys just above or below the lowest and highest bid to lure people in. Also the fees are incredibly high.Once again, DO NOT USE Mercatox

well, here's something you need to know about this exchange.they would disable depositing or withdrawals of a certain coin , sometimes both without any prior notice. i used their exchange for DSR coin for example, all of a sudden , they disabled deposits of DSR, i contacted support seeking any info why its been disabled and whether its just my ID or is it disabled for all users.. that was 4 days ago up to this moment no reply.this website was great ,, when it worked, now its just useless. not to mention the long down time they have every now and then for *maintenance*.

I was originally skeptical of this exchange after reading the reviews but after a couple months of solid trading I can safely tell you that this exchange site is great! The support group is especially great with the fast replies and kind manner. I can tell you that this site is trustworthy

This exchange shouldn't be used, unless you don't mind throwing money away. Ever since I did my one and inly transaction there is a continuing maintenance on my crypto that isn't allowing me to do anything with it. I can't even send it to another wallet. Stay far far away from this exchange. My only light to this is that it was a small amount of money I used to try them out.

it was good relationship until i started withdrawal to put in my nono hardware wallet, they restricted me to 50 coins per day. i have submitted all necessary info and have not be able to get an increase in daily withdrawal. I dont know what's all the fuss about. Ive been using this site since 2017 and besides small ammount of mods, support, it works well.Why do I like it so much? I love the interface. They could only add different statistics for your account like how much do you have in USD/BTC, how much total and on orders too.Edit: Yes, its true, you cant witdraw KIN and Doge for a long time now but can BTC, ETH, USDT and many other coins...

I tried to deposit eos it's showed me deposit address so i send eos from hotbit to mercatox and the wallet went to maintaince . After 1 week maintenance was over so i asked support why not credited my eos.within minutes it went to maintaince

Bought DOGE on April 24, and today, after 3 weeks it still shows "Not available", and "Maintenance" on the DIME. Customer service is worthless, no matter how many times you write them, the answer is the same: we are working on this issue. No reason given. If anyone want to sue them, I am in.

Scam. Do NOT use Mercatox.I went to cash out, but it would not let me. Their system has been under maintenance for weeks.Customer service is useless and probably automated.Customer service says that they are working on it - day after day after day. They've been doing this same thing to people for years - just look at the dates on all the comments here. Somebody deserves to go to prison for this SCAM EXCHANGE CALLED MERCATOX. The exchange is almost certainly run just like a Ponzi Scheme. It's hard to believe that they can continue on like this year after year without being shut down.

Had a very unpleasant experience! This is a good company as long as you don't ask for your money back. Because if you do, you're going to have a problem. They will keep coming up with all kinds of silly excuses for why you can't take your money out. As luck would have it, I stumbled upon gavibrenaid.com, a company that helps track down scams and recover lost funds and bitcoins. With their help, I was able to get my funds back.
