memd.me Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives memd.me a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 66.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 66.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to memd.me's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning memd.me, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between memd.me and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of memd.me. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of memd.me, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. memd.me is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether memd.me has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether memd.me boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, memd.me.

Teledoc's a waste of time. We use these services because we want to avoid the trip to the doctor, are perhaps even unable to make a trip to the doctor - due to disability, mobility issues, whatever - and then they refuse to prescribe meds or antibiotics anyway. So you call them because you're ill and feel you need antibiotics, but they're saying, well, if you're that ill, you should really see a doctor... for chest xrays and blood work, etc. They charge virtually the same - like $475 for a ten minute phone conversation - and they won't even write a $10 script for you? that might, ultimately, save you a trip to the hospital. It's just a sham. Cause you usually end up making a trip to the doctor anyway. In which case your insurance co. is doubly charged.
Have used um before had Jenny M as Doc she was great .well last time had nurse practitioner named Shelly Turk had terrible manners. I had to call back several times screwed up everything then tried to refuse antibiotic for a low IGA patient with bronchitis during covid. This women does not belong in that job ,too rough, bad listening skills and weak knowledge.Peace Jeff D.
Worst provider ever! Do not waste time/co-pay. I have had a fever for 4 days with a worsening sore throat and ears. She told me she did not want to give me a z-pack as I may get a bladder infection. She went on to go over gargling with salt, washing my hands, taking ibuprofen etc. I am 56 years old and wasn’t born yesterday. Bottom of the barrel provider that obviously has free time most likely because she doesn’t have a following. Downhill from MeMd that was marginal at best.
We used this service for my mother who was having shoulder and neck pain on Thanksgiving. When the doctor contacted us, they called instead of zoomed with us. The doctor was on the phone for maybe 3 minutes. He did not take any history of her issue and asked very few questions. He basically told her to contact her doctor and take some Tylenol. This did nothing to help ease my mother's fears but did quite a bit towards making her never want to use this service again. Terrible
This is an awful service!! I scheduled an appointment and had a mediocre meeting. Called for a follow up and the doctor never showed up to the appointment. When I called to inquire why, I was told she had an emergency. She couldn’t reschedule for 2 weeks. Rebooked for that appointment and she had another “emergency” and canceled the day before the appointment. She was supposedly leaving the country and wasn’t available for 10 more days. Every time I call to schedule a new doctor, I spend over an hour on the phone or am promise a call back within 48 hours. Which has never happened after more than 5 calls. We get this service through our insurance, but even free isn’t worth the headache it causes. This is the worst run business I have ever seen!
In the past, I have relied on memd to treat me for sinus infections. However, tonight, I paid 67$ and learned that the memd doctors are not allowed to prescribe antibiotics for sinus infections. I don't know how they will make money by denying medicine, but I feel I needed to inform other patients of their new rule. Very disappointing.
Worst experience ever. It's been over a month and I am still trying to get an appointment set up. They have charged my card after they couldn't figure out how to use my insurance... Allstate/Cigna???They canceled an appointment without me knowing. They only have availability a week or more out. You have to call to set up an appointment. The portal is no longer letting me see appointments (forever loading... for the past week)
This was a total waste of money. After explaining to the doctor that I felt I had a sinus infection (and describing my symptoms) he went out to lecture me about how no one get sinus infections and I needed to use Afrin. Four days later I was able to talk to a real doctor and get antibiotics. I sure would’ve liked to have had relief four days sooner. I will never use the service again or recommend it to anyone. If there was an option for less than one star I would choose that option.
Honestly not super happy with my experience with MeMD. To treat a chronic condition (hives) I was put on a 5-day treatment of medication. When that didn't help, I called back to find out if I could get a refill. That's when I found out that there is a 7-day wait period from the time of my first appointment, meaning that not only would I have to pay for another $70 consultation, but they would not guarantee care until 7 days had passed. I went to another website and received the care I needed.
The doctor would not listen to my needs, which was an antibiotic for a sinus infection and bronchitis. I had prior tried to call my PCP for 2 days (he has given me antibiotics for the same symptoms) and was unable to get through, so I tried MeMD and was very disappointed. I continue to have symptoms but my money was spent at MeMD, for which I have asked a refund so I can go to my PCP. I was told it would take 3 days for them to respond, it is now 14 days.
I asked for a video visit, I got a very short phone call over an hour later. I described my symptoms of a throat infection, I got take zyrtec. I was told by the doctor he would call in for cough medicine, I got nothing called in. I asked for help with getting antibiotics before Hurricane Nicole shut down the pharmacy, I got "hunker down". I called back to ask someone else for help, that was 8hrs ago and still no return call from their callback service. I can't get back my time, I should get back my money.
I have had 2 excellent experiences using memd, and my husband found them! Yes, my husband :)He researched other options and found that some charge monthly fees, or have 7 day trials which at that point you have to cancel. I dont want that headache when I'm sick, or in my situation I was in transition between healthcare jobs and was w/o insurance. For myself I just want what I give to patients, honest compassionate care. That's what I received. Thank you again memd. I appreciate you.
Hello and thank you for the opportunity to review. I was disappointed in the service, and while I understand the limitations of a virtual appointment, it was less than I'd hoped. I was experiencing ear pain that I hoped to get guidance for. I was told to not get excited about it (or dismissive words to that effect), although I'd had ear pain for 3 weeks. That same day I passed out on the floor of my room and ended up in the hospital. They decided I had a severe intestinal virus, and was dehydrated, but I feel that the inner ear infection that was diagnosed a few days later was also in play. I realize your doctors and staff may be overwhelmed right now, but perhaps a few more questions would have been helpful and helped me avoid a trip to the hospital.Thank you for the opportunity to give feedback,Lynn
It was hard to understand the doctor and he wasn’t listening to my concerns. Furthermore he never sent the prescription to the pharmacy. Two days later I went to my normal family physician. Very disappointed in MeMD.
I basically got the same information I received googling my symptoms. I was told to wait it out 2-3 weeks and hopefully it would improve. Two days later I was diagnosed with strep throat by a local doctor. Disappointing to pay for nothing. Very nice just not helpful.
Easy and FAST! I was able to set up an account, make an appointment, and talk with a live physician in only about 20 minutes! The physician listen to my concerns , asked a few questions about my symptoms (sinus infection) and sent an antibiotic to my local pharmacy electronically. It was way cheaper than what my insurance would have covered if I would have went to my PCP office for a visit. I’ll be using this service again. Highly recommend for busy folks who need relief.
Didn't take more than a hour from start to finish. Dr. prescribed what I needed without a long, expensive, and embarrassing trip to an office. Insurance covered most of the medication cost. $70 (including medication) headache free easy treatment. I was skeptical after trying Teledoc years ago but this visit with this company worked out great.
The doctor I consulted with was knowledgeable about my condition and helped me very quickly, so that was great. She also wrote my prescription with a refill, so that was helpful. Really my only complaint would be the price: $67. I think that was little steep, especially when there are other providers on the same type of platform charging only $20 for some visits, which I think is more appropriate given the extent of our phone call.Overall, though
I am 55 years old and I know when I have strep throat. I have raised my own children and I run a child care center for over 30 years and I know strep when I see it. I called today after fever, major head ache, pus pockets, swollen tonsils and lymph nodes, horrible breath and pain all over!! The call a doc say I only have two out of 5 so they can not give me medication. I just spent $25 to be told it could be allergies.... I know the difference and I am not going to wait another day and pay $25 again to get meds I should of got today! What a scam... I wish walmart had never taking over MeMD because they DO NOT LISTEN to the caller or understand when you work with kids in a child care center and strep is going around......it is contagious and adults that are caregivers.... catch it
MeMD is awesome, I typically know whats going on with myself and do not need to go into a clinic and spend $150 for what I can get at more than half that price in way less time. I hop on, give my symptoms, a doctor calls ten minutes later and a prescription for my needs is sent to my pharmacist! Why risk catching more there, it is so unbelievably simple and cheap! Do it!!!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.
