Is mechboards.co.uk Legit?

These guys have got your back. Superfast delivery, well packaged, and always exactly what was ordered. Sometimes I feel that the website could have a little more info on some of the items and/or suggestions for other parts to the project you ordered, but that's really a minor quibble. AAA+ service.

Great quality products, and solid build guides. Good prices and availability. Fast shipping. Nothing to complain about! Mechboards has everything it takes to make a repeat customer of me.

I was buying a gift and had no real idea what I needed. The people I spoke with in the customer support team were super knowledgeable and helpful. The parcel came quickly and was well wrapped and the birthday present was very well received.

The products were exactly as described and high quality. Communication from the store was good and the items were dispatched and delivered promptly. The packaging was also good, just big enough and sufficient to keep the products safe in transit without being excessive. I am pleased that there is a UK based specialist retailer for custom mechanical keyboards, and I enjoy being able to support a local business. I am glad that the service from Mechboards did not disappoint.

I've always had great service from the Mechboards team. They have been helpful sorting out follow-up queries or questions via their ticketing system or their Discord. The community on Discord is also very supportive and helpful.In this case, I commissioned Mechboards to design and build a custom keyboard PCB for me. They ensured that they understood my requirements, flagged any problems and suggested solutions, and were clear on costs at each stage. I'm happy with the final result and look forward to using it at work.

Ordered 2 nice!view displays, they were dispatched very promptly and arrived shortly after in the post. Good choice of shipping options at a good price too. No complaints from me!

They aren't the worst for keyboard kits , switches , caps etcseem a little expensive compared to other suppliers. Delivery is okay always get item with a week or so. My main issue is lack of info at times when it comes to part lists and product photos. Customer service is great prompt polite responses I use them regularly and do recommend just think some small adjustments would make a big difference

Purchased a pre-built Lily58 low profile split keyboard. Happy with the high quality of work that went in building it. All the specs matched the description. Delivery was quick and safely packaged. Will definitely buy from here again. Lastly, Ozzy is definitely the star of show.

Simply the nicest company and people! Ordered, product came incredibly quickly and well packaged etc but - through totally my own fault for not reading information/understanding what I needed as present for son (!) - I needed extra bits. Dave could not have been more helpful and speedy in assisting so I could rectify. I’ll always go back to mechboards and recommend them wholeheartedly to everyone I meet even remotely interested in keyboards.If you’re just getting started, their discord channel is absolutely fantastic and the mechboards crew (and their community) are so helpful and won’t steer you wrong.

Bought a Lily58 R2G kit. As is usual in group buys, it did take a few weeks (ordered in December, got delivered I. March), but Mechboards kept us informed throughout the process. And then it came a week early. Perfect for a newbie like me, hot swap sockets and via-compatible firmware pre-flashed. Easily 5/5.

Very impressed with my Sofle v2 purchase.The build quality is really good and it came pre-flashed with QMK which I was expecting to do myself.Really happy with my purchase, and it was really speedy too. Would happily reccommend MechBoards!

I ordered a Keycap Set from a Groupbuy but sadly not enough people took interest in that set and it got cancelled.The brilliant thing is: David from Mechboards contacted me about how its looking kinda grim. I explained that I was looking for a set that was currently heavily discounted elsewhere and that i would need him to tell me ASAP if my order would happen or not so that I could still snatch the set at a discount and OH BOY David understood ASAP as such - Within 10mins of sending my email, i received a cancellation notice and a refund of my purchase.Sadly my business with mechboards didnt work out, but their customer support was fire! You can really tell this is a business made with love by a small community

Parcel arrived on time with no damage to the outside. Once opened, the switches were in a plastic bag, and after taking them out to place them into my board, I noticed a lot of the pins on the bottom of the switches were bent so I had to bend them back to being straight. Not exactly ideal receiving items that are already damaged. Hoping this doesn’t affect the lifespan.

Always great to buy from them and always a smooth experience. They sell great products and always have those little things that are a little more specific to keyboards that without being an expert, you wouldnt know where to look, but they make it easy and I was able to find a replacement screw for a keyboard.

Fast and quality delivery, the items (lily58) were all as described. The only slightly negative comment is about the prices do not include the tax, so you end up getting surprised at checkout. Otherwise everything was alright about my purchase.

Kit came with a brush, switch opener and switch stem holder and for lubes, 5g Krytox GPL 105 (oil) and 5g Tribosys 3203. Delivery took 4 days to arrive after ordering. The lubes by themselves are just a little expensive for 16 quid but the tools are brilliant.All in all, it's great for people like me who are new to switch-modding. Do consider the lubes as a "taster pack" though. After going through 61 switches, you will notice this kit might last you maybe 2 more mod sessions. Also you want very much to hold onto the ziplock bag that the Tribosys comes packaged in!! It's handy for oil-lubing your springs.
