Is meaco.com Legit?

We recently moved to an old (early 1800s) detached property that's in woodland - the ambient humidity here is super high! We started having issues and purchased the MeacoDry Arete® One 25L Dehumidifier/Air Purifier, after researching many reviews. 3 days in and it has made a huge difference, dropping from 76% to 48%! That is approx. 20L - it removed 10 L on the first day, very impressive. It is very easy to use, relatively quiet and isn't too much of an eyesore.

I have a 4-year-old DD8L Zambezi dehumidifier which recently started shutting down and displaying an E2 overheating error code. Meaco customer services arranged for me to return the unit to them free of charge for investigation. After testing, and finding no issues, it was returned to me (again, free of charge) with a new water tank and filter in the hope that this would prevent any further issues. So far all is well and the unit is back to running as it should. I want to commend Meaco customer services and the technicians for going above and beyond to get this sorted for me - I was fully expecting a big repair bill or to have to replace the unit after having it for 4 years, so I am extremely pleased.

Meaco Dry Arete One 20 Litre is an excellent dehumidifier. Very cost effective to run along with a enhanced H13 HEPA filter for all year round purification. The bonus of being able to dry your laundry and vey quiet while in use.

There was no fuss - one phone call to try to resolve the issue and then the second which resulted in the lady giving me details of how to email my issue. Emailed and received a reply from Stephen who organised everything and we had a new working dehumidifier and the broken one picked up all in the space of two weeks

I’ve had the 20L Arete One dehumidifier for 2 years now. It is effectively reducing humidity in my home in south west Scotland. Recently, the printed circuit board developed a fault. The display would not respond to any changes although the dehumidifier is still working to dehumidify. I contacted Meaco and they arranged for a courier to collect the dehumidifier for repair. Within 2 days, it was returned to me fully repaired as covered by the warranty. Great customer service!

Our 25L dehumidifier would not switch on. Customer services gave us something to try at home and provided detailed guidance about how to send it in for repair if this did not work.It took about 6 days for them to organise collection, but once they had it, it was repaired and returned very quickly and efficiently and is working well again. We are pleased with the service.

My Arete One 25l broke down again, needed the display PCB replaced again. Disappointed in the longevity of the unit but both times the support team have been very helpful. I did have to chase once to arrange delivery of a new shipping box, but other than that all went well and my dehumidifier was returned working again very quickly.

Rapid response. Made the process very easy. Dealt with queries in a friendly and efficient way. Dehumidifier returned good as new.

Unfortunately my experience of Meaco customer service is that it has failed to meet the claims on its website. The panel on my 25l Arête One is not working correctly but despite calling, emailing and calling again, I’ve received no response other than Meaco is very busy right now. My machine is 18 months into a 5 year warranty. Was great when it was working properly. But now am frustrated and disappointed.

Customer Service Appauling. Arête dehumidifier 20L has a control panel fault. Cannot get in touch with customer support. Phone rings then music for ever - no answer don’t know if they know I’ve been on the phone, no live chat, no response to email. Totally appalling after sales customer support. Not good enough! If your machine in warranty develops a fault your on your own! Update - after much persistence Live Chat answered. I quote “we have a high work volume and we cannot answer every query instantly” not asking for instant but was told “it has been under 24 hours” they did not help, they did not arrange a repair! Apparently I requested a customer response too quickly, is it my fault their products fail! According them I need patience - shall I tell my condensation and subsequent mould to be patient!

I like the Arete One dehumidifier. It is much better than previous units I have owned: quieter, more efficient, and easier to use. But when it suffered a minor fault almost a year after purchase I was disappointed. So I contacted Meaco customer support. In a short time, they simply sent me a complete new unit, plus packaging and postage to return the old one. No expensive couriers or endless phone calls and emails. This was amazing customer support and I am delighted to get my Arete One back in service.

20ltr dehumidifier control panel fault. From first contact via email unit was repaired and back within a week, including sending out a box and packaging. being repaired serviced and cleaned. Really impressed at how quickly and professionally everything was resolved,

Customer Service was excellent for information on which product to buy however I emailed a question on the 16th of September & still waiting to hear from Meaco. There was a piece of black foam sealed in plastic & I don’t know what it is for & neither did the assistant on the telephone so was told to email.I purchased the MeacoDry Arete® Two 10L Dehumidifier / Air Purifie.

OK customer service but not amazing. I don't feel that they listen to their customers fully to be honest.They didn't reply to my original email after weeks so I had to call to chase but after then they replied ok.Product quality control is lacking on their dehumidifiers, issues with two of them now including their latest.A bit annoying when you send a new product in it comes back without some parts, a recycled box and the product transport tape as it comes when new. When queried eventually they sent the missing part next day after emailing a couple of times.I hope they improve as there is a lack of competition in the UK in the dehumidifier space.

Meaco replaced my faulty dehumidifier without fuss and without delay. The delivery of the new unit and collection of the old one was as smooth as it could be.

I own 2x Arete machines, 10l (2022) & 12l (2023). Both have been on since purchased and come on as and when they should, I don’t turn off in summer etc, however the 12l developed a fault with control panel. It was still working and collecting water but laundry and night mode button wouldn’t work. Contacted Meaco who were quick at responding, and advised it needs to go in for repair. I was apprehensive about sending this back should anything go wrong after dropping off at DPD local drop off point but dropped off Monday morning, arrived with Meaco on Tuesday, update to say they replaced the PCB, text from DPD on Thursday and by 3pm that day, I had it back! Seems to be working fine at the moment,Customer Service and quick turn around by Meaco Repair is faultless.

I’ve had my Arete One 20 dehumidifier for 18 months. It started to get a bit louder than usual. I contacted Meaco via Instagram. They asked for a video which I sent. They immediately posted a box to me to return my dehumidifier for repair. It was collected on Monday and returned on Thursday. Amazing service.

It's always disappointing when a product fails and I seem to have been particularly unlucky with my Meaco products. That said whilst the initial response to my warranty claim was slow, once returned the turnaround for repair was exceptionally fast, with a repair report the day after it's arrival. Unit is back and fully working now and the Arete One is a fabulous product, quiet and efficient.

I purchased an Aircon unit (portable) a year ago and the duct tube has fallen apart. I have tried to order a replacement part ( MeacoCool MC Pro Series Duct - 1.8m) from Meaco website but this item has been out of stock for many months. Today I rang for support only to be told that they are not in stock and no idea when then will come back into stock. Only ideawas to look on amazon to find an equivalent one of the same dimensions .. yet he was not able to tell me what the dimensions are ... This machine is only a year old and surely the vent should not fall apart so fast!

Really impressed at how efficiently, quickly and professionally everything was resolved. Sometimes things need repaired and while that can be disappointing, I wouldn't hesitate to buy again after such a positive customer experience. Thank you!
