marriot.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives marriot.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 82.4. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Reliable. Legitimate. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 82.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to marriot.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Reliable. Legitimate. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a reliable and secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning marriot.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between marriot.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of marriot.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of marriot.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. marriot.com is an innocuous website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether marriot.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether marriot.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, marriot.com.

Favorite Florida Stay. Great location between the intercoastal waterway and ocean. Hotel is clean, quiet, staff is nice, beds are so comfortable, complimentary breakfasts are tasty and the prices are reasonable. We all enjoy the individually wrapped jelly beans at front desk.
Stayed at their property in San Ramon, california. They claim a 4 STAR rating deserve a -10 rating.Rooms were in poor state ,bed sheets and bed cover were not ironed looked as if they had been slept in.Next day room not serviced even though we had requested it be serviced! When we complained told short of staff and also because of covid rooms not serviced, first night cost around $399.00+ TAXES. better service at motels, stayed next two days at Mark Hopkins(Inter-continental) amazing service! and only $250.00+Taxes!Also at least two other people complained for similar reasons!
standard in the uk esp with regards to the executive lounge is very poor. it seems that staff do not even speak basic English or comprehend and certainly do not have the skills it seems to be working in an Executive Lounge, so it is clear they are hired because a friend of a friend. and the staff are all Asian, or from India no white British staff are employed or seen in any of their hotels . they also play music way too loudly in their hotels in the EL, people are working ot trying to talk, , THEY dont clear away and dont seem to kmow what they are doing as apparently they are hired on a temp basis, so they dont care, Marriott HOtels are not what they used to be and whoever does the music list, is rubbish, people want relaxing music , most of are an age that we do not want to be sitting in a nightclub. It isnot clear why there is music at all. Most people who use the lounge DO NOT WANT IT. food is not good at all and they have removed computers, in some , its a 3 stat rating
The worst vacation plan is to book a Marriott-affiliated hotel. When booking online, all items are charged, but after 3-4 days after payment, more fees will be charged from the credit card almost the same booking price.Jewelry was stolen from the hotel safe at the Cancun Marriott, but they said the safe was open.In Mandarin Guangzhou, a week after leaving the hotel, an email is sent that the guest has stolen the hangers from the room. From the Westin in Rancho Mirage you will find the most horrible front desk staff culture and then the management comes and shows a true behavior , but then you have to be careful what will happen later. For example they will charge room doubles.
Whenever I travel abroad, I prefer to stay at a Marriott hotel. Of course, if my company pays for it 😀 otherwise I would choose a cheaper option 😀I guess for their excellent service and clean and comfortable hotel rooms one needs to pay the price. In this regard, they deserve the highest ratings. Wherever you go, whatever country it is, their service and standards are at the highest level. And it is good that this hotel chain is present in so many countries, actually, it is hard to find a country where they don’t have a hotel.
Tried to book room on website, website was extremely unresponsive, after waging war with the horrific UI it told me the reservation timed out and I had to start from scratch. This website is complete garbage. One star because they charge twice as much if you call their reservation center and talk to the offshore help to book a room.
Everything was going pretty well until I had to deal with the night desk clerk.. With the red hair or pink who was so aggressive just for asking about extra towels.. She smelled like smoke we thought she was high but it's legal now
FOUR POINTS SHERATON NEW YORK FINANCIAL DISTRICT November 23-26 2023 11th floor, two double beds, not much room around beds, but very expensive. There was very poor dim lighting in the room. Only one bedside locker in the room (for three people?)A safe was provided, but no fridge. There was a view of an enclosed cluttered courtyard, scaffolding everywhere. There was a stand for one suitcase by the window, but too dark to see inside a case on the stand unless it was daylight.Very large HD TV, but but no HD channels. Very basic cable with only “second grade” stations and rerun programs, no local channels for news or weather could be found. No hotel information paperwork in room, not even a menu (only QR code)Only three elevators in a very busy hotel, no service elevator so sometimes it would arrive full of hotel staff and piles of garbage bags. Some elevator buttons not reliable.Only one ice machine and one microwave on second floor.Stains on carpet, lampshade falling apartSmall bathroom, very little shelf space for cosmetics.Cold water at washstand too hot to drink, hot water too hot to wash hands or face.Shower could not be used because cold water too hot to put your hands under, hot water even hotter. (Temperature exceeded legal limits for NYS hotels)Even water filling toilet tank was hot.Fawcett was defective. We complained several times, on last day hotel admitted there was a problem.Considered using bathtub instead of shower, but drain plug was also defective.Maintenance man finally showed me a trick to get colder water, so could only use it one time in three days for one person.A/C heat not bad but very little air flow.Comfortable beds. We did eventually get about a 20% discount for our inconvenience. However It was th3e first hotel I ever stayed in where I was scared to take a shower because of the severe risk of scalding.

“Best Customer Service Ever!”
I had the most amazing experience at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Memphis Downtown. The energy and kindness from the staff was just inmatched! Thank you Erandy and Rukedia for remembering my name and going above and beyond to make my trip memorable! We will be back!
“Stolen Item”
I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Chesapeake. 1560 Crossways Boulevard Chesapeake, VA ******* on January 19 -21. I often stay here due to my job. After checking out on 1/21/2024. I realized I had left my registered firearm under the pillow. When I called back the same day and spoke with management. They stated housekeeping had not turned in any items. I honestly love the location of this hotel. But no one is honest here. I even went out to get a food delivery. And if cameras were viewed. It would have clearly shown my weapon on me when leaving and re-entering the building during my stay. My advice. Triple check your room before leaving because employees will not return items that clearly does not belong to them. I have filed a a police report with the Chesapeake police department. I tried to write my review on the Marriott site. However the survey that was sent after my stay expired.
“CNN blaring it's propaganda throughout the lobby. Yuck.”
The arguing, one-sided, threatening words from CNN and MSNBC morning news is very disturbing when I go to get my coffee in the lobby. Hotels should be peaceful and welcoming to all not a place for division and anxiety. Make a policy to have non partisan channels blaring. Try something like explorations, building, animals, food. Channels that inspire and build compassion.
“Didn't feel welcome/unable to get service”
Just checked in and checked in late so there was no one else checking in I could say perhaps they were just too busy. Gentleman checked me in and provided 2 keys and at least stated where the elevator was. No Welcome to Marriott or even basic information as to restaurant, amenities etc. Or if needed anything for the room; I just assumed due to technology I would find that on the TV. However nothing is listed about the restaurant or how to find items on food menu. I was transferred twice to the restaurant and once called directly for room service as I had a long trip and was tired, there was no answer or anyone called back. I hope the other 7 days here get better. Also Cannot say receptionist is unfriendly as he Was speaking to a couple after I left to park my Vehicle & return. The overall place looks great. Tip for consumers:In a place quality appearance as this you wouldn’t think room service Would be an issue and would be some form of Activity schedule provided or even area attractions and extra linen especially there’s a pull out sofa bed. Products used:None yet. Hope to use pool and gym when rested And restaurant.
“Beware of Marrott Bonvoy advertised Titanium Benefits”
Please beware. Marriott is dishonest about the benefits for titanium members. They have discriminatory practices when it comes to annual choice benefits. Make sure you record every transaction. Their customer service staff are totally incompetent and don't understand basic English. Buyer beware!
“Working towards minimizing qualified workers for profit”
I've been a part of the brand through my travels and decided to apply for key positions but, understandably, was denied application before interview. I have 20 years hospitality experience in competing properties but was informed I am over qualified for what they want to compensate which is a direct admission to how they run their new program….basically a corporation that has no soul. Would recommend staying with the smaller, family run units that cater to your actual experience. Will never spend another dollar with this operation Tip for consumers:Can’t wait to see you collapse!! Products used:None, they had no service staff available as I stayed on property for 14 days Service Value Quality
“Easy to use website”
Booking online is easy for everything, cancelling, checking in so when you get to hotel not much to do but get your key. Some hotels offer keyless entry with phone technology. All history saved on account online and customer service good if you have a problem. Website has extensive detail on properties
“Great and exceptional”
This is about Springhill Suites at New Smyrna Beach Florida. It is exceptional at every way. Patsy the piano player is the most wonderful person I have met in 230 days per year traveling. Clean, great breakfast, professional and courteous employees. Stay her Service Value
“Wonderful and relaxing.”
Great spa, very quaint and intimate. I only rated a 4 because of no steam or sauna rooms. The facilities were well organized and clean. The staff was on point with their knowledge of services and products. Would definitely visit again.
“Poor service”
Encouraged to purchase a $199 4 day vacation when booking a room. One year and 3 months later when finally have time to take it, am told expired and have to pay $99 to reinstate. No thanks! This is not how you treat rewards members if you want their business. Travel for work and fun - and plenty of other hotels out there. Service Value Quality
“Great room heart attack breakfast!”
Towne Center Suites in Tucson do provide spacious clean and comfortable accommodations but although staff are very pleasant, they fail to provide necessary service to keep coffee on hand and frequently allow items in breakfast to run out. They need to monitor it more frequently. I had to request coffee replacements 5 times. Breakfast is high cholesterol with minimum healthy choices except apples and oranges. Their remotes for tv in lounge do not work and are sometimes lost.
“Love Marriotts, Hate the Reservations”
I hate that you everything feels so corporate. Very little information or contacts for the actual properties, not many photos or details, and just a not so intuitive design. Each time I go to make a reservation, I get annoyed choosing the dates and waiting for the options. I'm not sure if it's an AJAX issue but I always have to refresh during reservations. Which is a shame, because I love Marriott hotels
“Horrible deterioration of customer service”
I have been a Titanium member with Marriott for over 20 years. About 6 months back my account got merged with someone else's. I don't have access to my points, Marriott hasn't suggested an interim solution that restores my status with Marriott. Whenever I call, they can't provide any target date for addressing this issue. This is a very frustrating experience and the worst customer service that I have seen in the hospitality industry. Service Value Quality
“Customer service is a joke!”
I have been on the phone with Marriott customer service 20 times because i have not received my points for 7 stays which is because of an issue with their app! Even though they can see my stays they still want me to send my receipts through the folio which doesn't work either! Emailed them but they won't except that either! Never again will i stay at a Marriott! Absolutely the most pitiful customer service i have ever witnessed! Service Value Quality
“Unauthorized $250 Charge For Nothing”
My wife and I stayed the night of 3/25/2021 at Fairfield Inn & Suites Colorado Springs South, on 20,000 points from my wife's Marriott Bonvoy account. Long before the reservation was made, the Bonvoy account had 20,446 points - enough to cover the stay with 446 points left over. Inexplicably, Marriott charged $250 to my wife's credit card on 3/22/2021. This is the exact amount it would take to buy 20,000 points. However, not only was this charge unauthorized, no points were credited to the Bonvoy account. Numerous calls to Marriott have not reversed this charge. Each time, the agent on the phone has seen and verified the issue, but when the case is forwarded internally, someone named Taylor W. Has closed it, stating that points were purchased. They were not. Tip for consumers:Take screenshots of your points balance before, during, and after booking. Products used:1 night stay Service Value Quality
“No better service can be found”
Any time I travel somewhere, I seek Marriott hotels because I'm so used to staying overnight in their apartments. The level of services is beyond the sky, they always cater to the needs of visitors and do everything to please them. I suppose that is the direct of evidence of how the service influences the brand awareness and creates trust from clients. I can't even count how many times I stayed in their hotels, but I don't care, the main - I have a joyful time.
“Do NOT stay at The Whitley Hotel in Atlanta”
As someone who has worked and travelled to 47 different countries, hotel service does not get much worse than this. If someone calls you at the Whitley, no one answers the phone. When they do answer the phone they decide to screen your call (a supposed hotel policy that you are not made aware of or agree to) on the pretext of providing a "luxury" service. When you check out there is no account available and I still don't know what my bill amounted to a week later. When you are trying to get a taxi in the early morning, there is no bellman on duty. When you complain they tell you that they are "terribly saddened" and that the hotel manager will be in touch, but nothing happens. And I could go on... but suffice it to say - you have been warned!
“Love to stay here when we travel”
We have stayed at many other hotels before, but ever since we booked at the Marriott, it has became out place to stay when we travel either near the mountain range or the beach site. The staff are very professional and friendly.
“Has improved immensely over last 30 years”
If the US were run by Marriott we would all be better off. People used to say that about Disney but I think Marriott is smarter and less greedy. If you are in Europe and your hotel Wi-Fi does not work and you are tired of paying for small rooms and small cold breakfasts, move to Marriott. There is more consistency in the hotels and better value for the money. These people are very smart and honest and plan long-term. I do not like the people at the front desk of the Marriott in Rio. They are not friendly or helpful.
“High quality service”
High quality service at a reasonable price has always been offered by Marriott. At the many Marriott Hotels that I have had the pleasure of staying in, comfort along with warm, personal service is always to be expected.
“Religious Marriott”
Xmas-themed music is played 24/7 throughout the lobby and everywhere outside, around the hotel. The balcony for which I paid additional, was rendered useless. What happened to the peaceful, relaxing, quiet one used to enjoy at hotels? Marriott Oceanfront, Virginia Beach VA | 12/28-12/31/22 Service Value Quality
“Worst possible customer service”
My wife and I were platinum members at the old Starwood and regretted the change with Marriott. Worst possible web site and mobile app. Every time I try to sign in I get the error message. I know my email and member number are correct as I get frequent emails wanting me to buy points. So it's a password issue and updating your password is an excruciating experience. However, with an hour of spare time and infinite patience it is possible. However, once I get signed in and complete my transactions, I will go through exactly the same experience the next time I try to sign in. Their hotels are excellent but boy the customer service on their apps is extremely frustrating. So, I am done with Marriott and will sign up with another high end chain like Hilton hopefully with better customer service. Service Value Quality
“Poor, or shall I say NO service”
We reserved a Marriott courtyard inn in Roseville over the thanksgiving holidays. We checked in on Tuesday of that week and checked out on Sunday. Not once was our room cleaned. Trash was not emptied. No fresh towels. Nothing. We complained about this and they said you have to ask for this if you want your room cleaned. So we asked for it. They still did nothing that next day. This is their policy. They do nothing unless you ask for it. We asked why don't you tell people on check in or has a sign in the room to inform guest of this policy. And then when we asked for the service they still don't show up. Service Value Quality
“Stayed at the Marriott Frenchman's Cove, a time-share...”
Stayed at the Marriott Frenchman's Cove, a time-share condo. The room was clean and gorgeous, and the people were amazing. We didn't spend too much on the property because we were always exploring, but it was so wonderful coming back to our room after a long day of sun and frozen drinks. My husband and I would definitely stay here again!
“Beautiful hotels”
The Marriott has beautiful hotels/rooms no matter which state you are in. They are a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for! The staff is always very nice and helpful. The rooms are big, cozy, and clean. I have never had a bad experience staying at a Marriott.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
