not sure but they cold called me on my mums phone who recently passed offering 6 tokens each representing 1 nights accommodation at a variety of hotels around Australia & NZ to be used together or separately within 24 months MTS travel was mentioned earlier in conversation & when I looked up while still on ph took me to some trading site He then directed me to MANLEYTRAVELS.COM.AU but I was unable to find so he told me some hotels around Australia & their reviews then passed me over to accounts He also said I would be required to review after I had travelled I was to pay $349 for6tokens or $549 for 12tokens I would be given a verification no & must book 3 weeks in advance when i wished to travel I spoke to the first man who made sure I was eligible then was put thru to his manager who put me thru to accounts to finalize payment I stalled & said I would have no money in account til tomorrow & he is supposed to call again tomorrow night The MANAGER gave me the email address [email protected] & ph. no 0283200507 THERE WAS ALSO a non booking zone from dec15th to jan15th Fair enough sounds great hey PERHAPS if I could have found website I would have felt better Once I paid all I would have is a reference booking id I still don't know what to think cause 12 nights for $549 sounds tempting He also said they had been in business for some time & mentioned the Mariette as one of the nz motels ID love to know if legit thanks
I was contacted by this entity about two months after my husband's passing in the evening (when travel agents aren't open). They claimed he had filled in a coupon two years ago which was possible. Despite the NSW phone number it sounded like an offshore call centre. After a quick conversation I was told they were doing a promotion and like the comment before me offered six coupons in any of their 3-5 star properties valued at$349 Aus per night in any of their properties, then she transferred me to their "properties manager" who asked me to open their website manlytravels.com.au on my computer to view properties, at this point my cynicism was confirmed and I told him I do not open my computer for anyone, so he sent me an email with the link which off course I will never open. He told me I could look in my own time {which I won't) and then gave me the ABN of the business, the business name was very similar but not the same as he gave. I googled the travel agents in Manly and none matched up to the URL or business name. I eventually got him off the phone telling him I was busy for the next few days and he was countering my response was time critical which is not logical given the supposed coupon was lodged two years ago with two years to use the coupons. The first main objective seemed to be gaining access into my computer which he was denied.
Unable to contact Jake Albert the guy who called me with a promo package. Paid a total of $998 for 2 of their promo packages but tried to call today to make a booking and it went into voicemail. Tried sending a message through their website and cannot. Message said \"something went wrong\". Scam. Called my bank.
Update. I have received a call from Manlytravels.com.au and my tokens will be in the mail and I did get a reply back from Jake Albert the person I spoke to. So far it sounds legit until I receive my tokens. So not a scam until I receive my tokens.
An update. I have received the 56 tokens I had bought on their Leisure promo. Seems legit!!!
Update unable to reach anyone from manlytravels and I am now disputing my transactions. Their website is no longer online and I am unable to contact anyone.
