manhunt.net Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives manhunt.net one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 84.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 84.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to manhunt.net's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning manhunt.net, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between manhunt.net and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of manhunt.net. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of manhunt.net, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. manhunt.net is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether manhunt.net has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether manhunt.net boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, manhunt.net.

“So slow it's useless”

Manhunt used to be okay, it was one of the first gay hookup websites, it's been around forever. You would think they would have sorted some of the tech issues. It's so much slower than any other apps that it's basically useless. Apple doesn't allow naked pics on the app so you have to access by browser to see half the profile pics. Very limited tiny thumbnail views for non-paying members. They could maybe offer a promo for members who've used the service for ten years but no such luck. I'm pretty much done with it. I wish they would get their act together and solve their technical issues to bring it into this decade.

“Not only must you pay to see full profiles, the site...”

Not only must you pay to see full profiles, the site is so slow loading onto my computer that it consistently takes 30+ seconds to open. At one time it was a hot site but it has certainly lost it's edge.

“MH Sucks- but not in a good way”

MH the worst performing website and app out there. They are so technologically lame and clearly do not care. I'm following my friends and not renewing. Plenty of sites that actually function the way they're supposed to.

“Full of fake profiles”

This site has deteriorated over the years. It is now full of fake profiles asking for emails addresses and fit young men offering sex for pay (also fake in many cases). The number of local profiles is extremely limited. Hardy worth using the free membership let alone paying for it. A complete waste of money. Service Value

“Full of old profiles”

I found that a friend who committed suicide 2 years ago was still on the site and reported it, seems to have gone now. I have since been checking out other profiles and sent messages which don't show as being sent and the profiles are so old, one was updated 5 years ago, makes the user 15 at the time, so the age isn't updated either. Profiles just say accessed more than 2 weeks ago, 95% of the ones I searched. This appears to be a facebook style membership, once there, they are used to bolster the site listings with dead profiles in addition to the loads of repeats used for one off logins. Not a site to be recommended and avoided if you don't want to be left on it after you leave.

“What happened> company greed has overtaken the pricing”

Use to offer deals that made affordable and you didn't mind paying to use the site some. Now customer service sucks price is not worth what they charge with no deals for long time customers. It use to be a good site but now it just sucks. I maybe check it once a couple weeks and that's a waist of time and energy.

“Avoid this site at all costs”

This site is made up of a huge number of fake profiles. However, what's worse is that the owners of this site refuse to take them down. I probably have reported (with evidence) hundreds of scammers and yet their profiles continue to stay up on the site -- making Manhunt complicit in the scam. Avoid this site at all costs! Tip for consumers:It's pretty much a scam site. Service Value Quality

“ManHunt Technical Issues Not Resolved”

ManHunt used to be a good site with many features. There was location webcam as well as individual IM with private video and chat. Since the new upgrades the technical problems have become horrific. One can no longer have a private web cam chat with a member, the video chat no longer displays primary profile photos and many times in order to check a message one must reset the site before the message can be viewed. I have contacted customer service five times and the response has always been the same... We are sorry for the problems you are experiencing. We have alerted our support staff and they are working on the issue. However, there is no anticipated date or resolution. I have cancelled my membership and hope others will do the same.

“What happened?”

It used to be a good site, but the technical problems now are terrible. Doesn't load, freezes, shuts down everything is much worse. The cam im chats were one of the best features and they zapped it. Wtf? Lamest management since the obviously don't care. Won't be renewing

“Good site for meeting guys”

Good site for meeting guys. Downside is you have to pay to be able to view full size pics instead of thumbnails. The 'Men Online' search is only specific to certain cities or towns. Lifeout and a4a are far superior than this site is.

“Very bad customer service”

I emailed customer service since the website was acting up and blocking my sign-on. All I got back was a form email that said "call customer service". But I could not get the customer service number since the site would not let me get past the error page. I finally googled the customer service number and got it through another link. When I called them, the receptionist mumbled so badly and was so wifty that I think I woke her from her nap. Then the receptionist told me that there were no agents available to speak to - "call back in an hour - she told me! When I put up a fuss - she finally connected me to an agent who was so defensive that he could not even listen to my issues. After all of that, I can not still log on. I called back and the drowsy receptionist again told me that there were NO agents available (at all) and that I should call back in an hour! Instead, I made a date with Patty Palm.

“This is THE Worst Site”

This is the most poorly developed site of its kind. The Developer clearly does not put a cent into anything to enhance performance of the site and it's constantly plagued with glitches and has been this way for decades. The site contstanatly freezes and will not open unless users clear their browsers after using it for several minutes. As a result, anything that is bookmarked using this browser, will not recognize your device unless you go through the whole security drill. Manhunt is garbage an while they claim to have Customer Support, they simply cut and paste responses to inquiries and problems and they never are pertinent. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Tip for consumers:Test the free version before commiting with a paid membership. It's a joke! Service Value Quality

“Site Constantly Screwed-Up!”

The site user interface is fairly well arranged as far as meeting/viewing local guys. Non paying members do have reasonable contact privileges which makes it attractive to paying customers who can easily contact & hook up with non-paying members, as opposed sites where paying members can only talk to other paying members, the latter making it almost impossible to meet others when there are few local users. The site has LOTS of advertising, but that doesn't bother me all that much, the advertising helps keep the site going. The membership fee is reasonable, as a previous paid member I was satisfied. My problem with the site is that IT IS CONSTANTLY SCREWED UP! In fact the constant screw up state of the site was the reason I did not renew my membership a few years ago and things have not improved any since then, if anything they have gotten worse! They don't know how to fix their broken code and the site is constantly broken, the place is extremely annoying at times! Service Value Quality

“Old Faithful Could Use An Update”

Not a bad site really, definitely could use a nice update and look, not much has changed since 2002. The database of guys is extensive which keeps me coming back.

“Zero hookups”

I came back to manhunt several month ago And have had 2 responses but that has been it in years Ben attacked in the video chats An kicked out of chats But I came back every time I contact customer service They send me discounts for premiums With no hookups and there poor customer service would never become a paid There is no way I would become premium member When I have s 0 chats hookups emails etc

“DISGRACEFUL”

ALL DAY WAITING FOR ONE PHOTO TO BE APPROVED...NOBODY LOOKS AT PROFILES WITHOUT PHOTOS...COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME...ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO RESPONSE FROM THEIR TWITTER SITE...THANK GOD I DIDNT GIVE THEM ONE CENT...I WENT TO SQUIRT.ORG AND PHOTO POSTED IMMEDIATELY...

“Want to join Manhunt again”

I was a member of Manhunt a while ago and would like to get back again what should I do.?

“Norton is blocking it now”

Norton is now blocking manhunt.net as a dangerous site. I wonder what's up with that?

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices
