I has been 5month without the refund of my money. I booked the flight from Kenya to south African and cancelled the flight as the next flight i wanted to connect with was 2hours earlier. I have been writing emails to them but empty promises, I think it is the right time now to repot them to ATOL and fraud team.
Easy to use website although I could not use my Amex credit card even though it was displayed. However, this was irrelevant as their pricing was excellent. Txs!

I would not recommend this company. They can cancel your flights in just one click! We had terrible experience with this company,they change the price at the end of the booking procedure after they approved the ticket price before and customer service is also “bad one”….
BAD EXPECTATIONSI have just made a reservation for 3 nights in September and all I have seen in the comments written by former guests is complaints about the poor service in the reception; the terrible condition of rooms, common areas and bathrooms. There's also negative comments about problems with overbooking, cockroaches in the rooms and things like that. I tried to find a website or an e-mail addresss to get in touch with them but to no avail. I am really worried about my first visit to New York regarding lodging in this place. I can write to you after my stay there and I hope things are not that bad when I confront the reality of a single in 2-bed dormitory room with private bathroom at Central Park West Hostel.
It is not about lol travels but about the carrier my checked in hard baggage case in Fly Dubai flight was damaged and the trolley wheel was ripped off...I've lodged and their Celebi staff has noted complaint and assured to redress the situation🤞
I bought the ticket by mistake and I realised immediately.. by low I could cancel without any penalty if I cancel within given time .. other companies do it without any charges.. but iol travel charge me 50euro saying that it was for the service.Very dishonest and greedy. Never use them again.

It has been a terrible experience. With no assistance from lol travel. It is 3 weeks after a refund is said to have been processed and nothing. Agents are rude on call and offer no assistance on email.
My luggage didn’t arrive
Have been emailing them after they only gave a partial refund under their 100%refund guarantee. They are not replying to emails I sent providing bank evidence of what I received (bizarre anyway as they should know what they did refund). Also had a huge problem in that I paid by visa debit card in pounds Stirling as the price was advertised in pounds Stirling- but they would not refund to my card - had to send international banking details and I suspect the partial refund is due to fees for that being charged to me. Be very cautious of booking with this company if the guarantee of a full refund (as they advertise) is an incentive - as they do not honour it and do not reply to follow up emails as in my case.

It was easy to book, but I struggled to get communication in english. Prices are fair.The ticket does not come on the same day, which causes anxiety. But it was emailed the following day after I wrote requesting for it. The overall experience was good
I have been trying to get through to lol travel for a week now in relation to recieve my refund but they keep hanging up on me when I call and in que for 10 minutes every time . Plus they add on there own booking fee that is not on the price advertised.
Positive aspects: I purchased the special customer care package and my mails were answered timely. Less positive ones: I had to ask for the company booking number (I think it should be provided in the confirmation amail) and there was some confusion about where I had to check in online as they were several airlines involved.

There was no indication on Lol that resort fees would be payable when we arrived. We paid in full for the accomodation only to find out we needed to pay a further $360 once we arrived -an additional 50%. Lol was the only booking agency that did not have the additional fees and, although they were more expensive than booking directly with the hotel for the the room, Lol had no additional resort fees indicated that would be payable. Directly booking would have been $5 more expensive per night including the resort fees. Lol told us to check out and show the receipt, show them the receipt of the new hotel and then they would refund our stay minus the first day. The manger of the hotel agreed that this would be OK. We moved hotels as we could not afford the extra fees and found cheaper accomodation. Now Lol are refusing to give the refund, stating that in the fine print it is indicated that there may be extra fees when you arrive and that they never give refunds. As a result of following their instructions, now we must pay for 2 lots of accomodation. This web site is misleading, do not use.
