loanaway.ca Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives loanaway.ca one of the lowest trust scores on the platform: 11.1. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 11.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to loanaway.ca's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning loanaway.ca, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between loanaway.ca and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of loanaway.ca. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of loanaway.ca, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. loanaway.ca is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether loanaway.ca has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether loanaway.ca boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, loanaway.ca.

Scam. They will inform loan is approved will collect all your documents for nothing.
This company is a big scam first ask R420 to and the R500 for a debi check and after receiving the money they now ask for more money because for delays in payment .....stay away from this company I wouldn't even give them a 1 star....the people that was helping me Sipho and Sonja makes alot of lot promise s and all off that was only lies.....a criminal case will be opened
I tried to get a loan and it said I was approved and sent them the information required. They later send message back saying requirements aren't met. Why even bother saying approved in the first place? I didn't read the reviews until now but I see why people are unsure regarding business with these guys. There are way too many 1 stars and I'm sure it's not because they're helping anybody.
I don’t have a loan with them... but I saw a rep harass a client Via FACEBOOK! Super unprofessional, Heather Charles has been tagging people with debt info. I even saw her commenting on others family photos telling them to contact loan away about their delinquent debt.
Worst company ever, within a space of 4.5 hours I got 3 threatening emails from Ayeesha. She threatening that I could get an arrested for not paying, my license suspended and other government IDs not renewed. They miss reported things to the credit bureau, they are sharks on second thought they are worst than that…Please do not use them
Extremely UnprofessionalIf you fall behind on payments, they post on your Facebook and contact your friends and family on there as well. When trying to discuss payment arrangements or my situation with them, they are extremely rude and condescending. I have NEVER been treated this badly by any creditor in my life. I regret getting a loan through them.
I was pre-approved and within 10 minutes received an email saying I do't meet the minimum requirements. How would they even know when i never sent them any documents etc. All I did was give them my name address and how much money i make
Sumati is awful with her customer service. Her team as a whole is under trained, and under performs. They had created a payment arrangement with me, and today I found out that I had a missed payment on my credit account due to my account being in arrears. These people do not care about you or your financial future, they just want to make as much money out of you as possible. Unlike other lending places, they are predators who do not explain situations to you, until it is too late.1/10 service. Will not recommend for the future.
Beware! The CEO of Ontario Energy Corp also owns Loan Away. Who was charged over 100 times for unlawful business practices.I half-filled out my application online and changed my mind. They have been emailing and calling me non-stop too complete my loan application. Every hour I get a call or email. They are stalking me, and I am not even a customer!
Really bad place. I keep sending them money on my loan and they aren’t counting it towards my loan at all. They keep saying I still owe more than I actually borrowed. I’ve sent large payments at a time and they said they don’t count unless I send my bank account information. Which I was recently instructed by my bank to close and not give out my information again due to being a victim of fraud. Even though I made payments arrangements with them and e-transfered the payments they are saying none of them are counting which is illegal. I’m pretty sure they are the cause of fraudulent transactions through my account they will be reported through everything. They are ruining my credit by constantly making hard checks on my credit file as well which is illegal
Loan away has been amazing to me I’ve had a loan out for a year and a half now. when I needed help and couldn’t get help anywhere else they did ! The only reason I gave a 4 star review was because I’ve always made my payments on time but my interest hasn’t gone down when I reloan also they don’t report to the credit bureau Wich I was told at the beginning they did Other than that their great
I would give these disgusting pigs zero stars if I could they are dumb immigrant fat pathetic losers that will harass you everyday and at work of to get their money I borrowed 2500 from these pigs I paid them back $3000 and they still think I owe them 4000 they belong in jail the pathetic losersthey charge you 50% interest plus fees they are disgusting ugly pig fat loser immigrants that should go back to wherever they came from I feel sorry for how pathetic they are pathetic lives fat disgusting people that don't even deserve anything they make me sick they are pathetic
I wish I would have seen these reviews first as I have noticed many clients have experienced the same thing.Basically I applied and was informed I was preapproved-good news right!I received an email and phone call and provided more information and received an email to state i was approved-even better right!Nope-1 hour later I received an email(not even a call) and was told I did not meet the min. requirements. Why would any company mislead someone on this and not just be upfront about the criteria and be honest and professional and direct-DO NOT MISLEAD-NOT PROFESSIONAL!
when i was turned down from a lot of places, loan away took a good chance with me , they helped me when i needed it the most, great friendly customer service and always willing to help time over time. This is why i stay with company!
I am really upset! I applied online as they offer, received a pre approval, then send more requested documents! Received another approval for a bigger amount! Then needed to send in ore documents just to be declined after a full week of giving them all my information? I am not a bad credit person, just struggled the past year due to cancer! Wish they would not mislead people and play them around! Do not pre approve then deny! Sad sad business! And now I am told I am not a real customer? Give me a break!
The sign-up process wasn't difficult & the customer services was good. The only complaint is that I wasn't able to pay when I felt comfortable. I wanted to extend my payments for 10 years & they won't let me. They didn't have a good reason other than, "our policy wouldn't let us",Overall, they aren't bad & one of the lowest interest rates I could find in TorontoEDIT SEPTEMBER 2017 - 3 stars to 5 starsThe manager of customer service called me explaining the why they cannot extend the pay period to 10 years. I was offered many different options to help ease the payments. Still not exactly what I wanted, but since they cared enough to find a solution, that deserves five stars.
I work with the RCMP after a loan applicant reported suspicious activity. In speaking with the agent he claimed to be based out of Markham Ontario Canada. When I asked him if that was where the Stampeders played (a Canadian Football League team) he said yes. When I told him that the Stampeders play in Calgary Alberta he had no response. The loan applicant was required to send 300 in Google play cards and then asked for further insurance securities. Although not certain it is very likely this is an overseas outfit designed to make as much money as possible and only provide limited promised funds. Please use reputable banks/organizations that you can visit in person. If any loan company ever asks for gift cards of any kind, is aggressive in any way, or demands payment for services not rendered, do not accept them.
Spoke to Rowana today and she was friendly & efficient. Her customer service was exceptional. She was already staying past her shift by 10 min and she said she would stay later to do what I was asking of her. IShe also said it wasn't difficult for her as she loves her job. She offered to stay later to do this, I didn'task her to .She also gave me contact information without me asking in case I needed to contact her again .She also had a sense of humor as I told her she sounded like Betty, a friend of mine ...her reply was you can call me Betty if u like which made me laugh and ask her real name
I had a loan from loan away, everything was going fine until I got sick. I was in hospital with diabetic complications, and my daughter called them to have insurance forms sent to her so my doctor could fill them out. She was told that I "didn't qualify" for the insurance even though I was FORCED to pay almost $40 a payment. Now, they are threatening me with small claims court and they're going to take my car and blah blah. I have to seek out legal advice.STAY AWAY FROM LOAN AWAY!!!
The credit insurance on the loan would have been more than the loan if the loan was taken to term...I questioned Loan Away on this and received no response so I didn't take out that particular loan. It seems Loan Away didn't want to discuss options around the insurance or its cost...Stay away from these guys...there are better alternatives that aren't as expensive and don't tie your hands with the outrageously expensive insurance that they probably get a commission on.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen?
