Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 70.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to lintonseafood.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning lintonseafood.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between lintonseafood.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of lintonseafood.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of lintonseafood.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. lintonseafood.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether lintonseafood.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether lintonseafood.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, lintonseafood.com.

I was researching where to buy Maryland crabs online. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, I moved to Florida and have been craving Maryland crabs. I decided to give Linton Seafood a try and I'm glad I did. Everyone enjoyed the crabs. We only ordered a half bushel and wished we had ordered more due to the size of our party. The crabs didn't last long. I will definitely be ordering more.
I ordered seafood from Lintonseafood. Ordered Aug. 29th. for Sept 1st. Delivery. That was our Labor Day celebration dinner. As of TODAY…..TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 6th. I have NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING! NO RESPONSE to my emails, no NOTHING! Very DISAPPOINTED in them! You’re a big seafood company not living up to your PROMISE for delivery! Get your SH#t together! Veryy UNHAPPY customer!!! 😡😡😡
I'm sorry to say I just completed preparing 12/dozen Prime soft crabs and I have experience a total disruption to my expectation to regarding results I expected! I've ordered from you folks in the past and was totally pleased. Now ordering your special of crayfish and prime soft crabs the crabs received were not what was advertised, 12 prime ordered all but 2 were under size ranging from 41/4 to 41/2 tip to tip, and 8 were missing the large claw! Don't know how crayfish will process on 4th of July but as of now they are off the menu. My word to others is retracted. Have pleasant a 4th. Carl
Having lived in Maryland, we need the occasional hard crab shipment. It was shipped UPS 2 day to us in New Mexico. On the day it was supposed to arrive, we got an email from UPS saying it would be another 4 days (weekend in there). I called Linton’s and they investigated. Then they reshipped the whole order by Overnight UPS flight, at their expense. I still expect to get the now-spoiled crabs in a few days to throw away.
We have ordered over the years and until the last two orders I have been very pleased! My wife first started noticing the shell in the crab meat last order, I just ignored it BUT AS USUAL SHE WAS RIGHT AND AGAIN ON THIS ONE, damn it, get it done right, you have 75% of dissatisfied customers, does that not tell you something?????????????????????
I found this co/ site yrs ago and have been happy w/ the quality of Seafood that I receive. Its important to know no 2 ppl have the same taste buds (I prefer to add my own seasoning/ spices) and am thankful they don't :))Covid makes pricing interesting but when I can, YES! I will continue to get my crab cakes, and crab meat from Linton'sThanks againOffer discounts (when you can is all)
Several times in the past I've bought soft crabs as a gift and had them delivered out of state. The experience was always A+. Last Christmas I decided to give Alaskan King Crab. All seemed to go smoothly till the crab arrived at my address instead of where I was sending it. I called Linton's and explained the situation. They were very courteous on the phone and apologized for the mix-up. They told me to enjoy the crab and they would send an order to to the proper address or give me a refund. As yet the replacement order hasn't arrived but I feel it will. Experience was not all good, not all bad.
on 09.02.2021 I specifically ordered 2 dozen Colossal Blue Crabs - 6 3/4" + point to point - price $299.00 or approximately $150 per dozen - WHAT I received were 2 dozen Blue Crab, none of which were 6.3/4 " , most were 5.1/2 " to 6" which does not even meet the criteria for Jumbo, 6" to 6 " - the cost of these crabs are listed at $89.00 to $79.00 per dozen - I have reached out to the company - and I received a phone call from Linton justifying the order stating that no other customer complained - to me they owe me a $120 refund - I promised not to give a bad review if they made good on the order but I have not received an acceptable response from the company - this is the 2nd time this has happened - same company - there will not be a 3rd - I am sure there are more credible crab business in Crisfield
I ordered 3lbs of their JUMBO LUMP CRABMEAT and noted that they ship FedEx 2 day. I received 3 plastic containers that appeared to be back fin lump and not JUMBO LUMP. Only two defrosted ice packs with the containers bouncing around. Very poor packaging. I opened one of the containers and the crabmeat smelled like auto fumes and tasted oily is the best way I can describe it. I opened the 2nd container and was blown away by the awful dead fish smell. If eaten I would surely wind up in a Emergency Room. I sent LINTON THREE EMAILS asking for a two thirds credit and received NO REPLY. I called TWICE and got no reply. STAY AWAY from LINTON SEAFOOD.
Crab cakes had no flavor. For the price i expected them to be at least what you would get at a fine dining restaurant. Thought maybe they shipped the wrong item so called and was told i should have ordered the jumbo lump crab cake. They offered to let me send back for credit and send me the jumbo for a lot, i mean a lot more money. When i balked at giving them another try at that outrageous price they simply hung up. No goodbye, no sorry you were disappointed, no we want to make it up to you.......Done with Linton's Seafood. They are not customer centric and have poor product at veryy expensive prices.
I bought a 1/2 bushel of lg. Crabs .when they came i unpacked right away. There was no cold in them The bottom layer was under salty water . They weren't edible .the rest of the order was also wet. I worked for a large seafood house in Balto. When I was younger. We shipped locally . I made a mistake once of packing hot crabs in a airtight styrophome box. When they got to location people called saying they were dripping wet and soggy. This order from youall is very similar. I have bought crabs two other times and they were great. I am sorry this time was a bad experience.the other crabs I bought were fall crabs much fuller than these.
I've ordered from Linton's in the past, and its typically been a good experience. However my last experience has ended any chance of doing business with them again. Ordered Crab Claws and lump crab meat, paid for two-day shipping. Didn't receive my order for 11 days, and despite 5 phone calls and 3 emails to customer service, I received ZERO replies. Once the order arrived, despite the negative experience, we were eager to eat! And again we were disappointed, the jumbo lump crab meat we ordered might have been leftover claw or backfin meat, and was full of shell, taste was off, making it inedible. Then we went to the claws (stone crab claws), and again were extremely disappointed, the taste was terrible - bland and not fresh. We called Linton's again, twice, to speak about our experience, and have yet to receive any reply to our messages. Very sad that a company with prior decent experiences, has gone down hill this fast. We sent messages through their website, and direct from the order email, as well as the phone calls (can never get an operator or representative on the line).
Linton's have been good in the past, but recent shipment was wayyy off the mark. I ordered 4 maine lobster tails (7 oz ones), 2 doz little neck clams, 1 lb backfin crab, and 1 lb sea scallops. It arrived on time and frozen well, as usual. Now the problem...I'm thinking since I'm from WV that Linton's thinks I'm too stupid to know what a Maine lobster tail looks and tastes like. Excuse me but I'm a lobster fanatic and know the difference well. I got some kind of weird rock lobster looking things. I called and asked for owner or manager Oct 2, '21. So I finally got him on phone and explained the appearance. He kept talking me down "that's a Maine lobster tail". No it friggin' isn't I'm thinking. Then he tries to tell me how to steam them and I laugh my butt off as he tells me to steam them 18 minutes so I'm not sure from what planet he lives. Now to the 'sea scallops. Some were the diameter of a dime and NONE were usual sea scallop size. Yeah this ole hillbilly knows scallops, too, and how to prepare. The backfin crab and clams were alright. So they sent the wrong things and then insulted my intelligence. I'm done with these jokers. I hope they go broke. They ruined my party and the embarrassment serving this crap to guests was excruciating.
THIS PLACE SUCKS. You will NEVER get what you think your going to get. Run away from the horrible company. This Kansas City family is done with this Horrible Company.
5 pounds of King Crab.3 tubs of blue jumbo crab meat.3 jars of oysters.$55 for "2 day" shipping to Colorado.Normally I just go to the local grocery storebut this was for a special occasion so I splurged. Not one single thing I ordered came frozen. Nothing! The lids on the 3 jars of oysters were not sealedso the juice was all over. The 3 pints of crab meat were so full of cartilageI wouldn't feed it to my dog - much less important guests.King Crab had virtually no taste.Too late to return of course. So went to 3 local grocery stores and got what I needed.Turned out perfect and I'll NEVER EVER shop with thiscompany again. What a joke they are! What a rip off!Don't get duped like me...Perhaps they should stick with bait?
Ordered dozen crabs with light seasoning.Received old crabs that the meat was dried out and had heavy seasoning. Let them know and never received a response.Had to throw them out complete waste of money and crabs
I am not going to sit here and bash these guys but the service could have been a little bit better. The shrimp was not that bad. Shrimp crawls to be specific. I am going to get it in that swing some better luck next time
I have been a customer of Linton's Seafood for 10 years. I order from them about once a year or so...sometimes less, sometimes more. For Christmas this year I ordered 10 pounds of Snow Crab legs and five pounds of what was supposed to be "FRESH" colossal shrimp (fresh not frozen) as advertised on their website. The crab was appx 125$ and the shrimp was appx 125$ using FedEx next day express shipping for another 90$ for a total cost of right around 300$. We couldn't wait to receive this treat for the holidays. As expected the order was shipped on the 23rd of December and arrived promptly the evening or the 24th. We live in WY and were experiencing another polar vortex with temps well below zero so it was impossible for any kind of spoilage. In fact this is the best time of year to order food online. We began opening and unpacking what we thought would be the same high quality we had come to expect from Linton's...but wow! What a disappointment. There were two 5 pound bags of snow crab legs broken into dozens of pieces BEFORE packing. I have ordered enough crab online to know the difference between shipping damage and poor product. And on the bottom of the crab there was the "FRESH" shrimp...a five pound block of ice with shrimp in it. We were so disappointed to see all of this, but were hopeful that the flavor would make up for it....boy were we wrong. The day of the feast we gently steamed the crab to serve with butter. The crab was tough and salty and terrible. The shrimp was thawed gently under running ice cold filtered water to make shrimp scampi...after just a few minutes we could smell the stench of dead fish...a sure sign of poor quality shrimp...and possibly spoiled shrimp. We peeled and deveined the shrimp and easily threw away at least a pound of mushy, nasty shrimp and proceeded to prepare the scampi. We bake our scampi and as soon as the shrimp began to heat up the stench of dead fish filled the house. And then, when done...we took our chances and tasted the shrimp...OMG...iodine flavored, nasty fishy shrimp. They were no good. Everything got thrown away. Needless to say, the first thing on my list after the holiday was to contact Linton's customer service. I sent them an email describing the above experience. I believe it was the next day I received a voice mail message 5 minutes long from Harvey Linton giving every excuse in the book and pretty much blaming me for the entire experience! He even went as far as telling me I didn't pay what I did for the shrimp! I sat dumbfounded as I listened to the voicemail. He offered to pay for me to send the shrimp back so they could send them to a lab to be tested! What? I have never heard of such a thing. It was obvious listening to this voicemail that he didn't trust a 10 year veteran customer and wasn't going to do a thing to fix the problem. Instead, what he did was lose a loyal customer and I will be sure to spread the word to stay far away from Linton's Seafood to everyone I know. If a business owner is unwilling to trust his good customers and is unwilling to mame things right it us usually an indication that they are trying to hide something. I will never do business with them again and I warn everyone to "order at your own risk.". I am saddened by an experience like this with a company that has been in business for over 50 years. I expected more...and got much less...in fact, I got nothing Robert

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
