Better than expected
Recently purchased two articles described as T-shirts but they are so much nicer and more versatile than the description. I like both very much and can dress them up with nice slacks or emphasize the casual in jeans. The purchase process was easy, delivery on time, the small size perfect for my frame and the material very comfortable. These were my first buys from LightInTheBox but they will not be my last.
An enjoyable shopping trip
I'm pleasantly surprised at how nicely this company operates. They send confirmations for each step of the process from the order, to the pay, to each item's step along the way, to where it is during shipping. My first order took longer than subsequent orders so it gets even better as you find your place in their flow. The variety and number of products is very good and I have found a consistent fit in the size range for clothes. I do find some of the fabrics different than I'm used to but there's nothing wrong with them, it's just me.
Poor quality, no customer service
The jacket that I ordered is certainly not XL in the shoulders and does not match the measurements provided. I can hardly fit in it! Furthermore, the material used to make it is cheap and it smells awful, so even if the jacket did fit I would not wear it. Their system does not let me upload the pictures which I took or submit a request to have a refund and there is no way of contacting their customer service. A very frustrating experience. Good quality fabric and appears to be well made. I ordered 2 shirts at the same time, and they shipped separately. The first shirt, I got almost no feed back, only a date of when I should receive it. Almost felt like I had been scammed. The second shirt, I received lots of information. When it was made, when it landed in the states, when it left their shipping department, and so on. Would have been nice to have that information on the first shirt. Also, the return address on both packages was “Jane” with an address. wonder what that was about.
I ordered three T shirts from LIightinthebox on the 4th May 2022. I Paid for a 3 day delivery, however the items were delivered yesterday 16th June. The items were sent from Walsall in the West Midlands, the shipping label stated that they are the sender not the seller!! So why I charged shipping insurance and tax on the shipping for a UK shipment, that was way overdue. What’s worse is the very poor quality of the items received. Clearly not the goods shown on their website, I immediately requested a returns form from them for a full refund. Their response request was to ask for photographic evidence if the items received, sent this offered a 30% discount. Rejected this offer and reiterated my request for a full refund. Have also lodged a mis-selling claim with my credit card company, and opened a dispute with PayPal.
Light in the box may not be a scam as such, but their return policy is made so that you wouldn’t even think you would get any money back from your return.
