Is leapfrog.com Legit?

Terrible Customer Service - Product just out of warranty (camera screen) and needs to go in binBattery is clearly faulty on the parent screen to go with my camera. 14months old and cannot be away from charger for more than 20 minutes. Customer Service team could not have been less helpful if they tried - genuinely "Computer says no". No consideration for the environment in terms of suggesting a repair. Would advise folks against Leap Frog products.

Never buy a leap frog product! You will never be able to get a hold of them for a simple question! You can't call them, they require you to enter product info and if your label has been damaged (who's hasn't we got kids) you can't get through. Forget about email, theyake you fill out a form and I would have to lessen my online security protocols just to submit a form! You can't email them. So I'll leave a review! Don't ever buy a leap frog product! Ever!

Worst customer service ever absolute joke. Product broke within 1 week and customer service keep trying to fob me off. Will never buy anything from them again and will tell all our parent groups how awful the company and products are

Utterly useless. Bought two sets and 8 books for my two children. Had to create accounts, download software, "intsall" audio and the useless devices still do not work. Annoying voice tells you to install books you have installed, and the devices only hold 3 books anyway. I do not have time to uninstall and reinstall boojs to devices with a tiny memory. Huge waste of 100s of pounds. Seriously spend your money somewhere else, and give your kids a box of rocks for the same learning experience

Brought a leapfrog book reader for my son for Christmas on amazon. I struggled to download the extra content on a tablet then saw it needed to be done on a computer. Unfortunately I only had access to a chrome device. Rang customer service and the lady was unbelievably rude. I rang to ask how I could download and all she had to say was its amazon's problem and nothing she could do. I was asking about a product made by the company she works for. I am absolutely apauled and after the awful 'customer service' I received I will never buy a leapfrog product again and will be telling everyone to stay clear of this company.

Bought a leapfrog ice cream cart from Smyths in October for my granddaughter for Christmas. I assembled it on Christmas Eve - big mistake because the push handle, canopy and awning could not and would never have fitted. The manufacure was faulty. I tried to find another one to purchase near me so I could return the faulty one (although who was to say the new one was any better) and no joy. So I looked online and others had had the same problem - I wanted to give my granddaughter her pressie so I tried glueing - no - the joints were very loose so ended up with blue tack. Shoddy, shoddy goods - should have returned and would have had I tried putting it together earlier. Lesson learned - will not buy leapfrog shoddy goods again.

We have two leappad ultimate tablets (and many other leappad products as we've 3 kids). Not all games work across each tablet so if you have the misfortune of buying a game for the wrong tablet and there are many they will not refund you for the game or even allow you to pick one that does work. They'll just take your money and tell you that you should have read the T&Cs. Don't know many parents who have that kind of time on their hands! Surely there can't be a real reason why they can't refund only that they're playing on the misfortunes of tired and stressed parents!!

I bought my daughter a leapfrog epic last year roughly as it was on sale it was good up until she lost it in the house. we finally found it and it of course was dead so we charged it. kept having issues start certin programs so we did a factory reset now I can't even log onto the leapfrog app store or update the system. I have contacted them asking how I can fix this or is it just a pricey electronic brick now. I'll be looking into just getting her a normal tablet and going that route!

Bought a baby monitor from Leap Frog. Firstly it came without a charger for the parent viewing unit. Reply from customer service took days. With a newborn, that is a very long time to wait so we purchased a charger separately as we could wait no longer for the reply. It worked ok for a few months and then we started experiencing connectivity issues. Finally the camera went offline and would not connect again. When flagged with CS we again were made to wait days for a reply until I followed up with a very disappointed email. Their reply was utterly unhelpful saying the product can’t be fixed and needs to be replaced. Conveniently our warranty ran out just in time. Will never ever be purchasing LeapFrog products again. I’ve never been this disappointed with a purchase in my life

Customer service is very unprofessional and lied for 2 years about my email address, not being the ones used in the academy accounts, taking 2 years of additional payments from my bank account. Finally, after many emails and contacting my credit card company to make a complaint, they had to refund 1 payment back but what an absolute disgrace.. how many more people are they doing this with

I bought a alphabet biscuit game for my grandson for Christmas, he seemed to like it but I was disappointed to find it had 2 b’s in the box but no h. I emailed the company to see if they could easily rectify this. I sent a photo to prove what I saying. Their reply was to return the product to the retailer as my contract is with them. Which I will return it but I won’t be buying any of their products again. Customer service is none existent. Disgraceful company. I would have happily sent the extra b if they would have sent the h to me

Customer service was very poor. Couldn't answer any basic questions about the product. Phone multiple times, given different answers each time. I still have no idea which monitor works with apps and which monitor rotates. Why can't customer service answer these questions?

If i could give 0 i would. Useless customer service, still waiting on email from them with resolution for my issues i am experiencing. Cannot get to download connect app on MacBook pro, or Windows 7 and leapfrog do not support chromebook. Avoid at all costs you will only have a disappointed child.

Leap frog are terrible the leap frog epic tablet is a good tablet for children but please do not sign up for the monthly subscription. It’s a total waste of money and there customer service is terrible when asking for help to cancel just completely don’t want to help in anyway a great way to waste £4.99 a month.

Leapfrog is the king of children's entertainment and education - safe, controlled, carefully selected apps, games, videos and pretty much impossible to find anything wrong with content. Our experiences on the site have always been positive, order easily, good products and helpful customer service. The leapfrog tablets connect by wi-fi easily and with no hassle. However, it's expensive. Apps will cost £5-8 each (similar apps on Android tablets would be £0.50 - £1.50). Videos are very expensive (£5 for 3 episodes of Paddington, Bob the Builder or Fireman Sam etc) and overall there is not a huge selection of apps. These are the only downsides, otherwise Leapfrog is 100% to be trusted and admired for their unique content delivery model - top quality content at top prices basically!

Customer service wasn’t helpful with a fault with a pen on their globe toy. We bought this a while ago but only used this a couple of times the pen broke and I contacted leapfrog the told to buy another one. And that is was over a 1 year old and when mentioned the consumer act 2015 they said I have to take it up with seller not them shocking.

Not able to leave no star rate, but would if I could. We purchased a Leapband from Argos 3 years ago for our granddaughter but decided she was too young so have waited until a bit older and gave it to her this Christmas. So went on line to download the software but unable to find on leapfrog site so emailed this is their reply Thank you for contacting LeapFrog Consumer Services. We are very sorry, LeapBand were discontinued some time ago and LeapFrog Connect is no longer available for it. So a warning to anyone thinking of purchasing a Leapfrog product, they don't support the software for them after 3 years

Have always loved leapfrog ❤️ but..I do however find it hard to get some books for my leep start It's really all you buy it and then they make a new one. That's the only thing that I'm not so keen on but it was a brilliant project that my son loved and we managed to get some second hand books to fit it..Thank you so much for bringing out leapreeder reader so much cheaper and easier then tonnis story's we absolutely love books and still like the idea of actually having books, but it's just so hard to be having someone just some built-in stories to help my child sleep with such a terrible sleeper and hard to get to sleep this is just burning out a little bit babyish not sure why it says till 8 years old but if it does the trick I'm game for anything.. I had a couple of nights and it's brilliant...The baby toy running for my son was little was brilliant and our leap tab was a much love. Favorite Even now but he has Amazon kids tablet still a go to for car journeys ❤️

I would give 0 stars if possible! So I bought an Alphabet Mr Pencil backpack toy directly from the Leap Frog Store in January a few days before my son’s birthday. It did not get despatched (waited just under a week) So I contacted customer service and asked them whats going on and apparently the order number I gave them (which they asked for) did not exist! So I sent them proof of my confirmation order and they did not get back to me and its been over a week! I contacted them again and still no reply. I’m so annoyed. I want my money back!

Horrible company!! Will never buy leapfrog again. Customer support is a joke. They were supposed to replace my monitor and then I haven’t heard anything for two months!!! Disgusting!!! The battery life sucks!

I have an issue that I can't find the answer to for one of their baby monitors I have of theirs. It's a security issue with the camera. Well they made it so hard to try and get a hold of them that I can't. You can't call them, you will be forced to submit info off of the sticker on the unit that my child has destroyed so that's a no go. If you try 0 2 times you'll get hung up on. Good going companies, ha f up on your customers and find out how we will never buy from you again! Then just try to email them, you can't! They make you fill out an online form but want you to drop your online security protocols to be able to fill out the form! That's not going to happen. Since when do companies think that no helping customers is a good idea and who the hell in your company said hanging up on your customers is a good idea. I'd like to have head that board meeting to approve hanging up on your customers. So since you don't give a crap about me you'll never see a dollar from me again! “Leappad Ultimate”

I wish I had never bought a Leap pad Ultimate for my kids. I have bought a total of 4 and they replaced 5 because the touch screens just stop working. I just spoke with the manager who offered no more replacements and told me that it is uncommon for this problem and that basically my kids were destroying them. My kids use them in bed appropriately. I even sent one back that wasn't working anymore. I will never buy them again. Do NOT waste your money!

“Irreparable electronics”

I accidentally broke the prongs in the charging port on my son's tablet. The company says they can't fix it, it isn't covered under warranty, and I must take it to a 3rd party repair store. Problem is there are no spare parts available for this tablet so its unfixable. I wasted money on both the tablet and repair fees, and all because of a fragile part. Leapfrog won't even work with me on a discount towards another tablet. The hardware and software are okay but I can get the same from a Kindle with better customer service. They lost my loyalty. “Ruined my son's Christmas”

Leapfrog has the worst customer service ever. They sent me two duds after my son's leappad ultra xdi had a distorted screen. They made me pay shipping to send the last dud back. I will never buy another leapfrog product. Do yourself a favor, buy a Kindle instead. Also, don't pay attention to the reviews on the leapfrog site as they delete any reviews they don't like.

Downloaded the program. They said a plug-in was needed. Couldn't fine a plug-in except one I could pay for on Amazon. Called technical support. They sent me instructions by e-mail as to how to download it again. It still doesn't work. They did say to call back after that. So I guess they expected it wouldn't work. Been on this or 5 hours with no success. It said Windows defender wouldn't allow the program in. I turned off the firewall and downloaded the program. It still doesn't work.

Last year I bought all my grandkids the leappad, they can play online with child security they can email gma gpa or their friends. TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS they have a blast with these and helps them prepare for kindergarten. Better than using you cell phone for games that are questionable

UPDATE: if the troubleshooting had mentioned restarting computer at the beginning it might have alleviated a lot of trouble! After "battery not enough to donwload safely" message, and knowing it wasn't the batteries I went about RESETTing and getting the red and amber blinking light. Still to no avail. Then for to last step of troubleshooting and after restarting, Whala! It all works! I had given 2 stars but updating to 4. ORIGINAL: I'll have to say this has been a irritating experience. After quite a bit of trouble setting it up the first time and writing notes on how to do this, literally not using the power cord it came with, as that one would not work, the thing now says batteries are too low to update for downloading the books. These are books I'm oprettysyre we downloaded when we first got them. I've tried 3 new sets of batteries from different packages and still says there's not enough. Maybe I will try to find the original white power cord. Not fun. The activities aren't in sequence to how kids learn so you have to jump around, and the activities can be non intuitive, well if you like surprises then this might be for you :)

The leapfrog experience started for us in 2002 when I bought their plug and play gaming system. It was high in price but low in quality, no customer service and no help. Recently I've purchased two more of their products. Both were the leappad 2. The pink one worked just fine straight out of the box but the green one had a cracked screen probably from being mishandled at the warehouse. The crack was internal so we couldn't see it until somebody touched it with a stylus and it broke like ice, underneath the screen. They told me to go to a store to return it but the store wouldn't take it so I had to send photos and details to leappad at which point they sent me a shiping receipt to send it back to them. About three weeks after Christmas the new one showed up, but nobody was playing with it since his sister got one and he "didn't". We called the green one "the grinch" and sold it (having already bought him something else). Customer service was terrible, rude, and acted like everything was my fault. I had to send back the unit so they could "determine" if I qualified fora refund, AND I'm pretty sure I know why it was so cruddy in the first place if they're just upcycling the parts from old sent-back units to create new ones! They're sort of old fashioned anyway since there are so many apps for kids on the computer an diphone now.
