Is kwik-fit.co.uk Legit?

Terrible scam to get extra work - Had brake pads replaced with a ''life time'' guarantee promise took car back 3 yrs later for replacement pads and got told need over £400 spending on discs / 2 tyres and pads as cant tell which pads where under guarantee - car recently m.o.t at council garage just an advisory on pads - feel making jobs up car was booked in for 10 30 am but at 12. 30pm not even looked at it said short staff. Wish I had checked reviews prior to going.

Booked online for MOT, Service and clean. Good service at a good price. Had some tyres fitted, tracking and coolant changed. They kept me updated on the progress and explained the few advisory notes that at some point will need doing. Thanks Chelmsford

Kwikfit Shirley, Southampton - had to use kwikfit as motability vehicle. Only wanted them to check alignment as a slight wobble felt on driving - 2 hours later! Supposedly there’s uneven wear so they changed tyre, but put it through as “puncture” as otherwise it’s “to much paperwork”!So there’s obviously an underlying problem to cause the uneven wear, but they won’t look into that. Rude, slow service & deliberately false information! Absolutely apalling

Laws Tyres are highly recommended. Went to Kwik Fit on Market St Aberdeen they told me tyre unrepairable. Then they tried to sell me two tyres for rear. Got suspicious and went to Laws. Turns out tyre is repairable, and my front two tyres are a month from legal limit. Kwik fit lied to me and risked my safety - no mention of wear on front. Bandits- go to Laws for an honest service.

Dropped vehicle off and asked them to replace all tyres. Employee checked his schedule and booked in for 2pm 1pm employee rang to say I only need 3 tyres but they had none and won't be delivered 'til next day The company took my vehicle KNOWING they had no tyres to fix it that day. Clearly if their working practices were better refined they would've completed a quick tyre inspection, confirmed the requirement and had tyres delivered. I asked what time the vehicle had to be in for them to achieve same day & they said 1130. I dropped the vehicle off at 0930am! Shoddy service resulted in my loss of vehicle overnight - very disappointed and won't be going back to this dealer.

Never ever take your car to Kwik Fit for MOT. They will make it fail by telling you it has failed in many things when in actual fact those things are OK. I think they have a target to hit everyday so they will do everything possible to hit that target. You have been warned. Don't regret tomorrow.

Fantastic help and support from Clevedon Kwik Fit centre this morning 11/8/18. We were returning from holiday - Cornwall to Rotherham when we experienced a flat tyre ( run flat) that would not pump up. The AA were unable to help ad the tyre fitters did not carry the required size 235/45/17 R/F. We arrived st the Kwik Fit centre at 07:30. The centre opened at 08:30 and we were on the road again for 08:45. Massive thanks to the two guys on this morning for A quick and professional service, also for letting my wife and kids use the loo! Would recommend Kwik Fit every time after this experience.

An utter shambles of a company. Booked an MOT at their City Walls Rd branch in Worcester. Phone call 4 days before to inform me all MOTs had been cancelled that day because of staff issues. Against my better judgement I booked at the other Kwik Fit branch in Worcester. This morning, literally hours before the MOT was due, they ring and say they also cannot do the MOT due to a staff issue. So I'm left chasing around trying to find another garage to do it at short notice.This is absolutely ridiculous and hints at serious staff and/or planning problems at this company. I will never use them again and if you value your sanity and time, you will too.

Kwick fit Hammersmith: Extremely unhepful site manager and very rude angry technitian. Jib done very slopy. They have refused to clean the rim from foam sealer residue and it sema like they even haven't ballanced the wheel, although I was charged for new ballance weights. And for that I've paid £135 for 1 tyre replacement! Im going to complain to Head office and futher up to authorities if I have to.Ps: few months ago another branch in Wimbledon has replaced me another tyre and also haven't cleaned the rim well. Since them wheel keepa slowly loosing pressure. I was just unlucky that Recovery car took me to nearest garage Kwickfit. Otherwise definively to be avoided!

Took the car to Kwik Fit on Cheltenham Road, Bristol following a loud rattling on front right wheel. They said needs suspension replacing and the noise was coming from the broken spring they discovered and will cost 650 quid. Went to another garage who said that the suspension was absolutely fine and there was just a stone stuck in the wheel. Took it out and problem fixed! Charged 45 quid! Beware of the rip-off merchants!!

Booked an appointment with Kwikfit in Chippenham. What a joke! They told me 45 minutes. Went back to collect my car; an operator was working on it. Next thing, a Range Rover with private plates rolled in and suddenly the work on my car was abandoned; the manager refused to explain why. After waiting more than an hour I left with the work incomplete. Only reason I went to Kwikfit was because of roadworks in Chippenham centre. Won’t be going back: ever.

If I was you I would give this company a very wide berth and go elsewhere.I booked my car in for a tyre check yesterday for 10:30am today as I had a slow puncture. Arrived at their Harlow branch at 10.20am. People already complaining that their appointment was being missed. Another customer was getting very angry, annoyed and demanding that his car was attended too -he had an appointment and demanded that it was kept to.. Woman on reception was struggling, clearly could not cope and was very unpleasant with me. Looked at my car (eventually) and merely wanted to sell me a new tyre - tomorrow. She quoted £298 for one tyre - compared to £200 - £210 elsewhere. I said it is £206 on the Kwik Fit web site- apparently that is "completely different"!!!!!!!!! I left - a total waste of my time after two visits. Go elsewhere - who needs rude staff and rip off prices

Took my car there with suspected puncture on a run flat. I was told you can't repair run flats but later found out after they charged me £150 for a tyre that you can if damage is small enough which it was. I will never use them again and suggest no one else does.

MOT done at kwik fit, no fuss, no nonesense, quick turn around time

If I could give no stars I would! One of my exhaust brackets snapped. The actual exhaust is in good condition. Hubby took the car into our local Kwik fit. He was quoted £350!! He told them no so the guy magically dropped it to £260. He told them he needed to check with me first. Meanwhile he rang our regular garage. The only reason we didn't ring them first because we needed it urgently done. Our garage told us worse case scenario would be £160. My husband went to pick the car up from Kwik fit as was greeted with " he's one of those who needs the check with the wife first" from one of the Neanderthals there. Bottom line it has cost me £20 to have the bracket welded back on. Shame on you bunch of cowboys at Kwik fit!!!!

Ordered 4 new tyres trough Kwik-fit mobile. 2 days later when driving for 40mn on the motorway found 1 tyre completely deflated and smelling like burnt. Customer service sent me to Kwik-fit centre where they found that the valve on the tyre was old (not changed or fitted and old one) and was leaking. The tyre was destroyed and the centre didn't have an identical tyre. Finally the support on the phone agreed that I can buy a cheap tyre from the centre and later they will come change it into an identical tyre and reimburse the cheap tyre.Kwik-fit mobile came later to fit an identical tyre, I gave them the car key. When the work was done I found the tyre was different from the 3 others (Michelin Primacy instead of Michelin Energy Saver) and they didn't say anything about it, they probably thought I wouldn't notice that!!I started a complaint. Now I'm hoping to get a second replacement with an identical tyre the 3 others and a refund for my expenses.Things could have gone much worse if the tyre was a front tyre or the valve blew out at 70mph on the motorway, so I'm extremely lucky!

One of the worst places I have ever been with my car.. I popped in just to ask how the tread was on my tyres.. £600 and 3 days later - they broke the ABS system, and numerous other problems I didn’t have BEFORE I went in but apparently that was all my fault.. They were rude and completely incompetent. AVOID!!

Replaced one of my tyres at my local Kwik-Fit only to find later that had I ordered it online at Kwik-Fit.com it would have cost me 67% less!!How can they justify such price differentials - it wasn't even on a special promotion. I did complain and they just gave me a load of corporate flannel.

Not sure how this Co is allowed to continue trading.. Usual garage was closed and needed tyre replacing. Took 2 and a half hours, they tested(?) everything and wanted me to pay for a realignment.. Wasn't what I asked for??? Cost the earth. Shame on you kwik(hilarious) fit, Chesterfield. No more business from me you charlatans

Kwik fit Bradford tried to con me out of £960 for a job that actually cost £173.50 at Mitsubishi Bradford.My vehicle was recovered to Kwik Fit with a broken exhaust pipe and they tried to have me believe it needed a complete new gold-plated exhaust system - I snatched the vehicle back and placed it with my usual (trusted) garage and voila... I will save the boring details for my complaint to Kwik fit but I suspect this is a company wide attitude bearing in mind the feedback I have received from my customers not to mention the appalling reviews I have discovered upon this review site. Watch your wallets with Kwik fit people!
