Wow, who knew an Australian business could have service SO bad. We paid for goods in January and have had excuse after excuse for 11+ months. Customer service is a misnomer... they excel in rudeness and lack of concern which smacks of a role dealing with dissatisfied customers. It looks to be systemic, so I'd question the attitude of upper-management that this persists. Today was delivery day and they have screwed that up too. 1 star is because the system won't accept less.
We ordered an umbrella in August finally delivered at 8.30pm in December, there were parts missing so it couldn’t be put together. The delivery drivers and installers tried for two hours and eventually had to leave at 10:30 at night. There was no follow-up from the company to complete the installation. My husband rang to explain the situation to what seemed to be an Overseas call centre. My husband has made multiple phone calls about the umbrella with no follow up- just that they are trying to source the parts. there has been no communication since and the umbrella is sitting in our backyard not ready for Christmas. We are still also waiting for 3 rugs, side tables and a desk. Why does the warehouse not have side tables in stock?? We have had countless text messages telling us that our delivery has been delayed. We are now looking at the middle of January, but after reading the other reviews on this site, we’re not holding our breath. we have paid for everything in full and well in advance.  we purchased numerous things from King living- lamps a new couch a TV unit we spent thousands of dollars and we were offered an excellent service in store.  they are happy to take the money and build interest in their own accounts and leave us with no furniture and the hassle of following up. It’s extremely disappointing. Ordered the 1977 sofa in Feb 2024 and it was delivered in May 2024. The 2 corner pieces had warped frames so they did not sit on floor evenly and rocked. Immediately called King and they sent out a team to assess it. After they took a look and they stated they needed to order two new frames for the sofa and that they should be available in August. August came and the pieces were not ready and they should be ready in October and then again for November and then again in December. The items were supposedly delivered in December to their third-party however, the third-party never responded to their request nor did the third-party contact me to install the pieces. I was told that they needed to order the pieces again. The sofa has been sitting in my house for over six months now and can’t be used. They never follow up and I have to constantly contact them. Starting in December, I have tried to return the piece however they never follow up to set up the return.
Delivery guys were courteous and helpful. Set up was quick, checking everything and explaining how to reconfigure. They were a few hours outside the expected 3 hour window but it’s a busy time of the year so we overlooked that.
1) Heavy glass Italian dinner table with metal legs from King turned out to have all MDF-like wood inside legs and which is now crumbling. Feel like we were cheated as legs were sold as metal. 2) have send a warranty/service inquiry, but customer service is nightmare as no response in weeks - local shop, where we bought table refused to help and call center (likely overseas) does not call back and when called again and again required level five security information before addressing query- that for a furniture shop !? Suggest to not buy from this company and especially check where the furniture is made/what it is made from.
Bought two lounges from King Furniture and I swear never buy again from them, no after sales service and product is sooo bad making and bad quality from them. Please do not buy from them, you will regret for sure, please read all the bad reviews!
Awful experience please don't buy from them Bought an 8k bed plus a chair that roster 2k and the order was water damaged The chair that was not water damaged however they forgot to deliver it ! So we have been waiting for a bed and chair for 6 month . Fuming
I wish I had looked up the reviews before purchasing anything from this business.I ordered and paid for a rug in July after being advised instore that the maximum order lead time was 6-8 weeks. The delivery has been postponed 4 times over 5 months and the new ETA is late December, which of course cannot be guaranteed. Call centre overseas cannot offer any insight and although took my details for someone to call me to discuss, I have still not received a phone call.Never again will I shop at King Living.
CS# 236895I had a sofa delivered in Sept that was faulty. A partial refund was agreed on Nov 11th, rather than KING replacing the whole frame.I am still waiting for the refund to be processed even though I have called several times asking where it is.Each time I call, I'm told that it's in process, already been processed etc. Today Dec 4th its still not done and customer service have escalated it with the accounts dept.KING, is this how you treat customers that have bought your products, had faulty items delivered and then give them the complete mess around?I am told that I will get a call by the end of the day, an email etc, what do I get NOTHING!!Come on KING, do what I keep getting told is going to be done... Process the refund so I don't have to keep calling.To add to the whole mess, I'm still yet to have delivered a rug that was ordered in July. Several delays with different reasons why from weather and even the ship having a fire. The next delivery date is next week but I'd be amazed if it comes then as customer service have no ETA for it yet! I am a repeat customer but after this I will not buy again and would not recommend anyone to either.
We had our KING furniture delivered yesterday on the date that was originally communicated. The communication in regards to when it arrived to when it was delivered was exceptional and on time.The delivery and set up was next level all items were set up and explained to us in full including clear guidelines on how to adjust the furniture They throughly checked all items and removed all boxing Incredible Service…..now time to enjoy my KING furnitureThank You

Appalling experience. Took weeks to respond. Quote to fix was higher than original purchase price and kept changing each time they were challenged. Obviously outsourced overseas. Eventually had the chairs assessed by a real furniture maker who said their assembly was cheap and nasty. Do not buy from this company. Check where the furniture is made.
POOR QUALITY and WOEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICEALERT to potential customers regarding our horrible experience which was poor quality furniture that had to be replaced and then the poor quality replacement had to be returned for a full refund. The refund had to eventually be forced on King Living by American Express as King Living failed to refund us.Dealing with King Living has been an absolute nightmare. They drag their feet at every point and it took many months of persistence to get to a resolution. They don’t return most emails or calls and their overseas customer care people just do NOT care. They even lie. I have recordings to back that up. An appalling display of incompetence & dishonesty at every point. The Moore Park manager cannot even be bothered to return a phone call. Obviously too difficult to deal with a customer.We will NEVER again buy anything from King Living and we have already told many people of our very poor and stressful experiences.UPDATE after phone call from King:King did call me however, they wanted to know about which team did & said what & details about the replacement. I said, you have ALL of that on file in emails and recorded phone calls so you obviously have not done your research and I am not wasting anymore of my time bring you up to speed on the details. This just confirms King's incompetence once again. The apology offered was far too little and far too late.

Sincere thanks to the incredible team at City Road Melbourne for such care and sincerity when putting our package together. Ambuja our incredible creative mind was outstanding at City Road. Her style is incredible.The delivery was on time and exceptional with the installation being seem less with the most wonderful caring delivery people who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect before they left.I really feel we have had the Rolls-Royce of care, service and product representation from everyone at King. Worst customer service, when we will actually get our order is anyone’s guess! Ordered a rug 6 months ago, it apparently then got sold to another customer so we continue to wait for it to arrive, it’s become a bit of a running joke now how many times we have received a message to say it’s been delayed (again, and again, and again). Apparently they “can’t control couriers” and have been overall very unhelpful. I wonder how much interest they make off all the upfront payments they receive as this seems a common issue. Glad we learnt this lesson before buying furniture or more expensive items through King Living!
Never buy King!We have had our King Lounge for over 10 years now. We have had the reclining mechanism replaced probably more than 20 times. In many cases I have left it for months to report the fault because I am so tired of dealing with them.We asked the repaired why. Simple he said. the product are such bad quality. He admitted he has had to replace the reclining mechanism monthly in some instances and now has several customers on regular monthly booking. King simply are not interested in sourcing reliable and well made materials. In short they demonstrate the qualities of fraudsters.
What a nightmare, we have returned our bed after much back and forth and extremely poor customer service but will they return our funds. No. so many phone calls but still nothing. Needless to say we will never recommend or buy another item from King Furniture.
When the couch was delivered the installer told me the clips that hold the seats together were the wrong ones and he couldn’t get them to fit. I contacted the shop and was told we will receive the right ones express delivery that was 5 weeks ago. I went into the shop and they asked me to send an email to customer service, as if a child fell between the seat they could be hurt, l did this whilst in the shop and also contacted them by phone 3 times and to date still no response. We have been trying for fourteen months, and an email thread of 33 emails, to have a King Boulevard chair repaired and recovered. This chair has been used sparingly but due to faulty workmanship is unusable and sits as an obstacle in our lounge room. It is a constant visible reminder of either an unwillingness, or total incompetence of King Living’s after sales service.
