kayak.co.uk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives kayak.co.uk a fairly high trust score on the platform: 81.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Fair. Valid. Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 81.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to kayak.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning kayak.co.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between kayak.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of kayak.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of kayak.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. kayak.co.uk is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether kayak.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether kayak.co.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

A quick and easy site to use.Finished up getting a car rental price for far less than any other sites we checked.
They had time to explain into details and to make sure i was okay with the offer.
Very pathetic website, its make you spend some time to get a deal and at the end it takes you to a different website where is there no deal.
Kayak consistently reflects incorrect pricing for flights. It is only AFTER you go through the hassle of keying in details with the vendor that you get the updated price, which usually tends to be a lot higher. This renders Kayak as a search engine completely useless, and only as a marketing tool for agencies and airlines.
Kayak allows a range of known scam travel agents to sell flights through their website and app. It is impossible to ascertain which are real companies and which are the scam artists - these are known scam travel agents selling today through Kayak:Trading names:CallForUmrahClickaholidayGetacruiseGetaflightPerfect HolidaysVoliamowww.checkaholiday
Great search facility. Useful info. Travelling with a friend and both of us inexperienced travellers and not very tech savvy but managed to book tickets for New Zealand with stopovers in Tokyo and San Francisco for an amazing price!
I booked through budgetair site And really I faced a very bad service. They are unprofessional at all and contacting them just a waste of time. I really regret booking through them. Just be carful
Trips (my trips) capability is free and great to use.
The company “Payless” offered a great deal and so we booked our car and travelled to the airport to get it. When we arrived they recognised our booking but said they had no cars available and that we would need to book with a next door company which was of course several times the price. Felt like a scam. We were stranded without other options and had only booked a car because it was so cheap. We hitched and Uber’d it back from the airport. Terrible experience.
Thanks for your response.Forgive me, there is a difference in nomenclature, between ADULT HOSTELS & HOTELS.If you don't have Advertisements for the former, just indicate so.
I found an airline fare that was a lot cheaper than I could find by myself which was fantastic. The only problem I had after I paid was that another email was received from ‘chatdeal’ confirming my booking. I really was worried that I had been scammed it was very confusing. I received a text confirming the booking and then have received a phone call from these people as well. It is making me feel very wary.
Really easy to use and great price comparison functionality. I especially liked the tool that allowed me to compare the price of travel over different days/times. The bar graphs really make the experience more visual and hence easier to compare.
We were trying to put together quite a complicated trip, 3 countries, 8 flights, with some gaps - so not a full round trip, and a preference for a specific airline on some of it. Just couldn't price it on the airlines own website. It did take a bit to understand how to refine the searches, with all the options available. But in the end very happy with the price and included a destination we have never been to before on the return leg. Happy and excited.
Be careful when booking with Voliamo via Kayak!! I had the same problem as other customers! I made the booking online, payment went through, and I received the confirmation. 30 minutes later I started to get calls from PH Travel (same company as Voliamo), telling me that my credit card payment has been flagged as high risk, and I need to make an immediate bank transfer, otherwise they will cancel the flight. They kept calling me, harassing me until I agreed to cancel. I then booked with another provider!
I am still trying to get a flight, but they are insistent on sending me hotel choices. The flight offers are not possible to book and every attempt the price alters.
One of the best sites for universal flight bookings!
Booked flight to New Zealand 21/06/2024 with Kayak which was put through to studentuniverse. As I progressed with purchase I was looking to see when added baggage came on, got to the end paid my £3885 for 2 tickets, this was from Cardiff/Amsterdam/Tokyo/Auckland and then Napier total of 4 flights out and 4 back, when I rang student universe up ,which Kayak sent me to ,they couldn't help with adding baggage and said I'd have to pay at every airport, MUST BE A JOKE. I was then told I could pay an extra £1000 and have 2x23kg hold bags going out and 1x23kg on return, ANOTHER JOKE, what was I supposed to do with the other bag Anyway the outcome was I am having my money refunded, WHICH I,M STILL WAITING FOR ,ARGHHH
User friendly, quick and good layout. Especially like you can add luggage as part of your search.
It took more than several attempts to complete my booking as the page disappeared when I tapped the check out button, this was very frustrating, I'd have given up had the price been comparable to other sites. When I had finally completed my payment I wasn't filled with confidence when all the details were transferred to another site, linked to kayak, called Chatdeal. The communication has been sporadic, emails answered at late hours at night, and occasionally abrupt attitude. I get the feeling it's not UK based. However all had gone through relatively simply with my booking, which was for flight only. I booked my seat direct with the airline which was cheaper than the quote I got from Chatdeal.
I have come to rely completely on the Kayak app which has become a lifesaver when we take any trip. Not only does it update me on flight details (and possible delays), it also provides a clear itinerary and further detail. Highly recommended to everyone who travels anywhere!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
