Terrible experience with indiemusicacademy. Alexx is the only support agent available and ignored me for 2+ weeks. When I finally got a response from his, he gaslighted me by saying I was ''spamming'' him because I followed up on the request every 2 days. I would highly discourage using indiemusicacademy as long alexx works there

I’ve learned a ton from IMA, and the entire staff is professional and kind! Their explanations of my data during my recent Meta ads campaign really went above and beyond. Sometimes their email responses take a bit of time, but when they do come, they are thorough. Thanks IMA, I will be back!

The Indie Rock Academy has become an integral part of our team! They help us not only with effective music promotion on Spotify, which is crucial for reaching listeners, but also assist with all other questions. They are always available to answer any question, and we learn a lot from them, gladly and respectfully absorbing the experience and knowledge they share. Plus, they always provide super cool reports on the work done!

You do need to be patient with this service but at the end of the day they delivered on their promise. The first 2-3 weeks I only got automated emails about other products and that was frustrating. I was hoping for updates on how my campaign was going from a real person. Ryan the owner of the company does genuinely care about his clients and is good to his word. It’s not cheap but I would recommend Indie Music Academy to artists looking to get their music heard.

We started using IMA’s new meta ads campaign management and WOW… the results have been beyond worth the investment. Marcelo was our campaign manager and he was incredible! He was so professional and provided a 15 minute breakdown after the first 30 days, thoroughly showing us exactly how our songs ads were doing and just being above and beyond the entire time. Very transparent service and I hope they continue to offer this as it would be something I would like to use year round. My only wish is that you could add to your ad spend month to month if desired. Still A+ service, though.

i submitted a house/garage song, with some unique story of production behind it. almost for a month there were no results, after i asked about the status, my track was placed on a FLASHBACK 70s/80s/90s playlist. if this is the level of curation at this business, i would strongly recommend going elsewhere.sad, because they seemed convincing.–––UPD: after i reached out to them, the track was indeed placed on a different (and way more relevant) playlist. the fact that there were no additional costs to that, goes without saying to me, because the initial placement was wrong. also they tried to reach out to me "to discuss the campaign strategy", but if that was supposed to happen, it should've happened initially when placing the order. eventually, i see that the guys try to do their job the best way possible and do care, but not w/o hiccups.

I really enjoyed working with this company! Aimee and Alexx helped me and were both great! I loved being able to log into the tracker so I could see where my campaign was and the placements I was able to get. The campaign is going great so far! I am excited to send in more music soon!

The Spotify Growth Formula that Ryan teaches is top notch. He does a great job teaching us all every detail on how to properly create custom audiences, events, and ultimately run conversion ads. He's genuinely a great guy to learn from, and I'm really glad I took a chance on his course!

I appreciated getting a personal email from Alexx welcoming me to Indie Music Academy. He always responded to my questions and was very helpful. The company did exactly what it said it would do. It found placement for my song and it has already garnered over 7K streams on Spotify. But the song has to carry itself, so they do their best to find a curator that is interested in your music and will add to their playlist. It's like having a publicist for Spotify. This course was a real turning point for me! It really helps to reach the right people, the ones who really like your music and then follow you, instead of just throwing money out and hoping you'll reach someone by chance.Now I can also actively engage with the marketing of the record label and tell them exactly what we want to spend our budget on.

I really like these guys. I feel that they really care about the Artists and actually work hard. When I got into a cash crunch, they were very understanding and accommodating. I also got real, meaningful results.

Overall it worked in a way, but very very suspicious. I’m on Official Editorial playlists and I see very very big differences on the data analysis. It seems so odd that the track I submitted to Indieacademy, got 300 streams a day and then boom, nothing. Regardless the fact that the playlist was very weird. I’m not an expert some people told me it looks fake, I really didn’t get any real engagement as I got on other playlists that has nothing to do with indiemusic, and the MAIN THING, It’s sooooooo expensive for what it is. There’s a lot to improve!

Any product needs advertising to sell, music or beer, or dog food. In May 2023, I had zero listeners and followers on Spotify, now I have 530 listeners and 46 followers. Yes, learning and advertising for one’s music cost money, but music not listened to is silent music.

Indie is the ONLY company I have trusted my streaming platform music Promotion to, as they work is legit network pitching my songs on my behalf, with 100% organic streams, great playlists and no BS. Helped me to kick start my music career, and find listeners. Because of their manual process, it does not always happen quickly, not all songs find home, but they never overpromise either. My experience has been nothing but majorly great - thank you.

I have really enjoyed IMA's Spotify Growth Formula course. It has been 3 months, and we are almost finished. While my Spotify growth isn't where I'd hoped it would be by now, it definitely has increased, and I know it's going to get better as my ad creatives improve. More importantly, I have honestly learned so much about how to run PROPER Facebook ads. I have a much better understanding of the way things should be done and WHY they should be done that way. Ryan has been very hands-on, and he is not only knowledgeable, but also just a genuinely NICE guy. Thanks for your patience, Ryan. I know I was tough at times!

I am running a campaign on the Indie Music Academy. There is nothing wrong with the campaign, but the company is totally unreachable – except for the overload of automated email marketing I receive. All other 'communication' is with bots - no one replies to emails, and I am unable to login to my account. This seems like a ghost company. After receiving your arrogant reply i have changed my rating to one star. I DID attempt to communicate - very much so; but all I got was bot replies. The only channel with a response from you was on Facebook - where a bot replies - but of course with the signature of 'Ryan' - as on everything else. I too will give you the opportunity to change your reply. Or people can just judge for them selves. And no: I am not a bot.Update: I agree - I did hear from you after 14 hours. This was the first thing I heard from you in three months. In the 3 months you delivered 1000 of my 10.000 plays. So you will be done delivering in 3 years. So ...

So they do what they say they are going to do, they delivered the streams. However...they placed us on a playlist that was not a good fit for our music and threw off our algorithm/recommended artists/etc. They don't ask for any input as to what kind of playlists you want to be found on, similar artists/songs, etc.The communication from them was meh at best and all super automated and spammy, they are great at getting you to sign up, but not great at actually engaging with you. My advice to indie music academy: spend more time with your clients, automate less, and actual interact with customers. A lot of us try out the lowest package and are ready to spend more if we feel cared for and listened to.For anyone that wants reference tracks, band name is Six Foot Blonde, and track was Lady.edit: trying again with another track on their next tier, will update this review based on second experience.
