   The website and also a FB page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555418365159 were sent up in the past month and claims to be a legitimate news organisation run by a team of journalists who are all members of the UK's professional journalist's organisations. They are not. This website domain was purchased in Dec 2023. On Friday the 15th of March, it went from being a single page website hosted on Wordpress, and a free site, clearly written by an illiterate scammer, to overnight being a hosted website, suddenly having the RSS feed linked to their FB page, which itself is filled with cut and pasted articles and photos stolen from other legitimate news sites. The Wordpress site had a copyright date of 2024. The hosted site that popped up in it's place literally overnight, then claimed an instant overnight copyright date of 2020, for a domain that had only been purchased in Dec 2023. Perhaps they should also consider selling Time Machines. These individuals falsely claim that the majority of their content is behind a paywall that can only be accessed by paying a monthly subscription fee that varies per person. There is no paywall, no log in area, no further content. They post fake figures claiming they are their analytics and show their reach and viewing figures, and that they have thousands of subscribers, when they obviously do not, and the photos are zoomed in ans the figures quite quite obviously, like everything else on their pages, are stolen from elsewhere. They also claim that there are no author names on the only content they do display on FB, which has been stolen from other legitimate sites, because their journalists do not want "credit" or the "attention of the press". Despite the fact they are supposed to be the press. It is very clear that overnight on the 15th of March this scammer either discovered Chat GPT or otherwise had help rewriting the copy on their site. Despite this their idiocy continues, and shines through on this patently obvious scamming attempt. They do not answer emails querying their scamming attempts, the number they display is never answered, and their site is completely fake. Not to be trusted and should be taken down, along with their FB page.

   Quite obviously a scam. Highly annoying that Facebook allows these scammers to carry on regardless. More annoying, and depraved in my opinion, is that these con artists have sat there interacting with victims of the tragedies they have stolen content about, all the while pretending to be "professional journalists" and members of "professional journalist organisations", despite the fact on their original page and website the clearly couldn't string a literate sentence together. They have since repeatedly rewritten the content on both their website and their Facebook page on almost a daily basis, presumably in an attempt to try and backtrack and cover their backsides, but the general falsehoods and con artistry that is the basis of both their Facebook page and their website remain. Avoid.

   I came here to report these scammers but see other people already have. I feel like it's still worth reporting as other people, especially older and vulnerable people may still be taken in by them, which is always the worry of course, and no doubt what they rely on. They have a website, as well as their Facebook page, both of which they seem to rewrite daily in a bid to clearly try to legitimise themselves. If they spent half the time they do writing obviously false claims, actually doing the work they've claimed to, i.e. studying to be actual legitimate journalists, then becoming members of those professional organisations they're always name dropping, they wouldn't have to steal other people's work, nor place fake photos of their supposed thousands of subscribers and traffic. It's sad that this kind of thing is allowed and continues, and that the internet is basically like the Wild due to these kinds of people, but other than reporting them on sites like these, and to the authorities, and avoiding them, I guess there isn't much you can do about them.
