Is immobilienscout24.de Legit?

It was very difficult to find a flat in Hamburg. Even though I have a work contract and enough salary, there was a very high demand for the flats in Hamburg. A help here was a service Mieter Plus, which allows to see premium flats in advance. I would advise to the people, who want to find a flat in Hamburg fast - activate Mieter Plus and look for the flats neer Hamburg from the beginning, - the best choice would be Pinneberg, Ahrensburg, Bergedorf, Fischbek or Buxtexude.

Money for nothing… I got into contract because i was desperate at looking gor appartment. I did not get even 1 reply through this website.

Absolutely useless site for finding rent a flat. I completed over 1000 !!!!!!!! requests and received only 12 invitations to view the apartment, which was attended by about 70!!!! of people. Why invite so many people and waste their personal time, money and emotions....if you know in advance that they are all unnecessary???

It does not say if for short or long-term rent (minimum rental period, if 2 months or 6 months). If furnished or not. I look for temporary accommodation for our customers everyday, so this is not just a one-time-thing (date entered here is more of date of feedback). Also, it is not stated if they provide or not the landlord confirmation. Thank you! Though their rates range from low to high, and I also like that they have this distance calculator.

Excellent advices, proper flow of the information and updates. Great possibilities to find the perfect place with a less effort. Everything is transparent and clear, helpful with the documents and easy to understand what you need. Great support for the people who don't know the German laws.

I, by mistake, signed up for one of their contracts and tried to undo the error immediately. Unfortunately not all website options are in English and the application is only in German. The many agents who responded to me were rude and insisted despite the error, I would have to pay for the full contract. The two agents I dealt with were Anja and Christine and they simply kept repeating themselves until I told them I refused to pay for services I did not and would not use. Most of the listings of appartments are no longer tenant owned anyways and are just unbuilt condo space advertisements at inflated prices. The next thing I know I am getting an email from KSP collections for a 120 euros. Don’t let these people bully you as all you need to do is call, ask to speak to someone in English, and stipulate the situation. I was able to get out of it by stating the amount I thought was fair to pay (less than the 59 they were asking) but know these people are awful and their so called “lawyers” are even worse. There is no goal here but profiting off people. Not unlike a lot of these awful tenant agencies in Germany.

This app have lured me. It looks interesting and helpful because of their presentation and that is the reason why I subscribed for three months trial then i loss my interest because I couldn’t send a message to the contact person. What is more interesting and surprising here is that I was force to pay 1 year subscription which is really good thing and a very legal way for this app to collect money. God bless the founder of this app. WHERE THE HELL I AM GOING TO USE THE APP FOR ONE YEAR.

If you go for the paid version it works fine. You really have a disadvantage with the free version. One point: creating a pdf out of your profile does not work with safari. It is distorted

With the current housing situation I was not sure if I could get one in time, since I had only 2 months for my current temporary apartment. Getting the plus membership helped and I was able to get 5 viewings in 1 month. The timely notification as per the search criteria is a great feature, specially filtering out areas by name, distance and custom map drawing. One thing which they can improve is adding English language support for expats like me.

no replies ever received and almost everything on this platform needs a vip thing so that you can have the possibility to find a new place to rent. Most of the time, I don't even know whether a post on it is already offered to somebody else or not until the time it is removed. I don't think that paying the vip thing shouldn't mean that you are definitely better than other competitors who didn't. But without it, your chance of finding some place here will be lower than you believe, even if you meet all of the criteria and have all of the documents. Of course, if you have a lot of time and patience, you can find some leftovers from the large cake feel pleased with yourself for having secured an offer. Aside from this matter, this platform is the best you can think.

Thank you for the easy method of searching houses in Germany. We got a nice rental house. I liked the prime benifits mostly, which include nice presentation of the profile and the automatic income proof, schufa update etc.

Very unintuitive to cancel your subscription and they send credit agencies after you as well as making it difficult to pay online without a direct debit. Beware of subscribing.

Sometimes the results don't match the search filter criteria! An appartment with properties which i liked, and fully obtained within the search filters didn't seem to show it on my feed.Edit: (according to the customer support i have apparently set a filter criteria that did not match the ad, ending up with the ad not showing on my feed.)

Update: 08.02.2024Immoscout24 customer service team has contacted me and agree to send a refund.05.02.2024I am furious with the dishonest and deceptive practices of Immoscout24. I only used their Schufa service, which clearly stated that there were no hidden fees. But they sneaked in a Mieteplus subscription that I never agreed to. They sent me an email about it at the same time as the payment confirmation for the Schufa, hoping that I would miss it. They also gave me a free trial for the first month, so that I would not notice the subscription until it was too late to cancel. This is a blatant fraud, that charge for the service that I never used and never consented to. Immoscout24 should be exposed for ripping off their customers like this.

I am a long time user of Immobilienscout24, but with my latest experience I am extremely disappointed in how they operate.I created an add to rent an apartment, made a one time payment for a temporary ad to try it out. From the ad, it seems evident that it was a temporary ad and the payment was intended for only that period. Fast forward a couple of months, the apartment is still NOT rented, I receive an Inkasso for 250 EUR and my account/login is blocked.Apparently the ad was not removed, not a single payment reminder was sent, neither through mail, sms or an in-app notification. My account was simply blocked, making it extremely hard to reach support and I am left with an unexpected 250 EUR bill. In short, it’s an extremely disappointing business strategy from a company I trusted and thought highly of. The number of 1 star reviews and exact same experiences tell you enough about how this company operates. Very disappointed primarily in the company but also that Germany would legally allow such scammy strategies to go through.
