Is icewear.is Legit?

I had a problem with a seam of my pullover and contacted the service. After a short conversation via mail Icewear send me a brand new one instantly!

I placed an order on Friday, I am in the UK and received it today (Monday). I love the icewear jumpers and couldn’t wait until I was back in Iceland to buy the puffin jumper and hat. I am glad I ordered it as it was easy and quick, it’s too warm to test them just yet, but if they are like the ones I brought from Iceland I don’t see there being an issue . I would buy again online as it was easy and quick

I’m beyond impressed with the level of customer service I received from Icewear!The shipping and handling were incredibly fast: 4 days to receive the parcel from Iceland to Italy, with the weekend in between. The items I ordered are of excellent quality and exceeded my expectations. What really stood out was the gesture of refunding a discount even though the code wasn’t properly applied at checkout. That level of care is rare these days, and it has made me a loyal customer. Highly recommended!

Brought a few items in the Vik store, whilst traveling to Iceland. There was a fault with the stitching in one of the t-shirts. The support team where quick to react and sent a replacement over to the UK. All other items are to a very high quality and the customer service was prompt and solved the issues. Would buy again.

The quality of the warm jacket on the wool insulation was very disappointing. They are completely empty on the sides and in some places on the sleeves. I am very cold in winter, so I decided to try to buy a warm jacket here. Winter is not cold yet, but I understand that it will be cold with an empty heater. I wrote to the support service. I was told that if you want to return the product, pay 30 pounds. I believe this is a scam. I spent 230 pounds on an order, of which I have to return 30 for a poor quality product. I really do not recommend this outfit. I mean outerwear. Maybe the sweaters are also of good quality, I won't know because it was the first and last experience with this store!!!

Amazing service. I received the order from Reykjavik within 2 days! I’m really pleased with my hooded cardigan. Lovely colours and very warm. Happy customer.

Made in China. The website suggests that products are made in Iceland. You can read mentions like: "Icelandic manufacturer", ""we oversee wool and garment production at various locations in Iceland..." but NO mention whatsoever that what is sold online comes from China or elsewhere. I want to support local economies, traditions and limit transportation. It's fine to produce in China, only you need to not be misleading about it and to charge far less. This is not transparent and lacks professional ethics.

I must highly praise a fantastic customer service. They were super reactive and very friendly. I ordered wool and received the wrong one... mistakes happen .. they agreed to send me the right wool without any payment on my part and I can also keep the other wool... the reason they gave was - we made the mistake - so thank you very much. I will order again from you.

Never considered buying on-line from outside the UK before this. Placed order on Saturday and it was delivered from Iceland on the following Wednesday, all customs duties etc, paid.The website shop was easy to use and the sweater sizing was a great fit, using EU sizing.Happy to order again from Icewear.

Nice jumper, correct size, delivered incredibly fast to UK by DHL. I'd like the product to have been slightly heavier because it wasn't cheap, but I'd shop there again. One observation - the labels say it was designed in Iceland, but I can't see where it was actually made.....

I wanted a lovely Icelandic jumper while on travels in Iceland. I really liked the patterns and was especially attracted to the Ásbyrgi for the design, cut and materials. However it did not work for me. I emailed Icewear and Björg wrote back almost immediately with several alternative jumpers. He went out of his way to help. When in Reykjavik I looked at the alternatives he had suggested and found Pjórsärver waiting for me. It’s perfect: same pattern, same cut, lovely deep cuffs on the sleeves. Björg was so helpful in customer services and I have a jumper I love which is warm, soft and stylish. I’m delighted. Couldn’t have done better

Sweaters are "designed in Iceland" but they're actually manufactured in China. Additionally, their return policy is very difficult. If you can't get them to send you a DHL label... and you go into DHL yourself, the shipping costs are so high that you might as well keep everything that doesn't fit. The Elís sweater is extremely itchy and the fibers would shed onto my fleece jacket when I tried layering it. If you're into itchy sweaters and can successfully get them to send you a DHL label, then this is your store. Otherwise, look for a store in the US that sells Nordic style wool sweaters and has an easier return policy.

I bought some slippers from Icewear. A fault became apparent after they arrived. Icewear were incredibly helpful, replacing the slippers promptly. Alexander and Harpa from the customer team kept me informed throughout and were friendly and helpful. Lovely slippers and lovely staff!

The zipper for my son’s fleece got stuck without any apparent reasons. We were disappointed as we loved the product and we thought it was very well made with ann excellent quality material, otherwise. I contacted Icewear customer service and explained the situation and sent photos and proof of purchase. Then, they immediately sent us another fleece to replace. We are so happy with their products as well as their customer service. Highly recommend!

Customer service was great. I bought a shirt during my holidays on Iceland. Back home , in the Netherlands, I noticed a small pinhole in it after washing. Shouldn’t happen, but nevertheless. Entered my complaint on their website and got an almost instant response and was immediately offered and sent a replacement without any hassle. So, happy with the after-sales customer service.

I have used Icewear for a number of years. I initially stumbled upon them by chance and was surprised by the quality of the wool used on their men's Icelandic wool jumpers, and I mean immense quality - fibre length, strength, loft, water repellence. I tend to use wool vs synthetics for outdoor sports and these jumpers were some of the few which were up to the task, hence £100 plus was a good investment. However, over the past 3 years the quality seems to have decreased to the point where they are now no better than anything else out there, if not worse. I hope the company can return to their previous quality. Currently they are probably not worth the hassle and cost of having sent from Iceland.

I love the Icewear brand, and products. I wish I had added up the costs of buying and returning products to them before purchasing though. I bought a two sweaters for £115 each, with a view to sending one that didn’t fit as well back (it turns out they ran quite large). Once the tax and postage was added in, the total was £305 - I sent the huge one back and received a refund of the less than the price of one sweater once return postage was deducted.One £115 sweater ended up costing me close to £200.The bottom line, be cautious.

I ordered a fairly expensive merino wool jumper. Size is good (I was careful to check in advance), however I can't believe this is really merino wool... it's the scratchiest wool I've ever seen / felt.So now I'm returning the jumper - at a cost of £45!!!!!My advice - find a UK supplier with free returns...

Bought the Reykjavik winter coat with Icelandic wool padding in December 2023, in a bright orange color. It's very warm and I liked the look. But in just a few months of leisurely use (I'm retired and disabled, so the most I do is walk around in my neighborhood and ride the subway in it), the coat acquired black grime around the pockets and the seams on the sleeves. I consulted the care instructions and saw that it could not be dry cleaned, and emailed the company re: how to clean it. They responded suggesting that I use a "tech wash" product (such as Nikwax) for waterproofed outerwear. My apartment washing machine is too small for a large coat, so I set about hand-washing it with a dilute solution of Nikwax. That process had zero effect on the black marks on the sleeves and around the pockets. This grime is permanently set into the fabric and will not come out. I'm surprised at how easily the coat absorbed dirt that can't be removed. I loved the bright color but I guess I'll go back to a black coat of higher quality.

As someone who grapples with Raynaud’s phenomenon, I decided to give up gloves and go with mittens, more specifically, the Kaldi mittens, which are insulated with Icelandic wool, as when I cycle in cold weather, my fingertips become numb with a prickly feeling or stinging pain upon warming. Though I got them toward the tail-end of the winter season, so far, they have made a tremendous difference. They have brought warmth and a sense of well-being when cycling in cold weather. In addition, the customer service was stellar. I had a hiccup with delivery, and the customer service rep who helped me could not have been any more helpful, pleasant, and attentive. I highly recommend Icewear.
