One star just so l can write a review. Terrible insurance, the worst I've personally ever had in my lifetime, and I'm now 65 years old. It has taken four years, and I am still trying to get my teeth cleaned in Zephyrhills, Florida; I'm still waiting. I finally got an extraction done and had to pay out-of-pocket $143.19, which they told me was my responsibility. My flex card has $250 on it. It's lost in the mail, and it expires at the end of this month, just in a few days, like the OTC card. I put my order in, and it says delivered four days ago, but I can't find it. After being transferred three times, I finally told them to keep it, and I hung up. Terrible insurance. l've notified my broker again. Pay social security 174 dollars a month if you live in Zephyrhills Florida or you will surly die.😏
I found the agent to be terribly rude, inpatient, and with an uncaring attitude. Don't worry, I may have missed the 2025 enrollment period this year to make changes, but I won't be back next year. And in the meantime I will be very busy spreading the word about my awful experience with Humana's customer service in sales.

I have been with Humana Medicare Advantage for 15 years and have had excellent customer service and timely payment of claims. I order my prescriptions from CenterWell, most of which are on Auto-refill, and I consistently receive my meds in plenty of time before I run out. And they contact my providers for a renewed prescription when it's needed. I'm a happy customer, and have to wonder if all these horribly negative reviews could possibly be talking about the Humana I've dealt with for the past 15 years!
Changed email and c.c. -- my fault not double checking but info was not changed and 90 days later coverage was dropped. Immediately went to correct and I hit a wall from the people I was dealing with. Call backs were not made and ultimately had to go to another insurer. VERY POOR customer service -- the worst. So I get a letter from my hospital saying they will not be honoring Humana in 2025. I started checking my doctors and other hospitals nearby that I could become a patient in and guess what....they are not going to honor Humana either. Checking further I find that the Humana CEO stated that they would be eliminating over half a million insureds in 2025. I obviously will not be doing business with Humana ever again. I had this coverage for 10 years and now I have to find something new. Thanks Humana for nothing.

My 87 year old mother has had Humana Medicare Advantage for over 20 years. I received an email from MUSC hospital and they will no longer accept Humana effective 1/1/25. I also got a call concerning her doctor's office and effective 9/4/24 they will no longer accept Humana which means from September through December she can't even see her doctor. I went online and pulled up claims going back almost a year with her doctor and Humana didn't pay her doctor a dime. MUSC hospital said they have been trying to negotiate with Humana for 2 years concerning paying claims and getting procedures approved and where unsuccessful. I'd give this company a 0 rating if I could. I want people to know how bad this company is. Stay away from This company
They deny claims that should be covered, were covered the month before and month after, for no good reason. I got 5 different answers 5 different times I and the provider called. List of in network providers grows smaller and smaller each year...so I had to go out of network, but payments to out of network providers continues to get cut each year as well. Leaving humana

We have spent hours and hours on hold, and sent in numerous documentation showing we were on medicare. We keep getting bills, and now we are threatened to be brought to collection.

I wouldn't go with Humana. No easy way to contact them on their website. They also don't verify addresses. I've been receiving mail addressed to someone else and told them about it twice and they have yet to stop sending me their mail. So I a stranger am receiving important confidential information and Humana is doing nothing to stop it even though I have told them. Think twice before using this company!
Husband is in extreme pain. Was set to hv a trail pain pump procedure. The request was sent 6/4 but 3 days b4 procedure, on 6/4, they said they needed a mental evaluation. He had an evaluation less than 2 months ago but they won’t use that one. We couldn’t get an appointment for a new evaluation until 7/1. After that the request has to be resubmitted and could well in to July b4 anything happens. Meanwhile husband is horribly depressed and not eating much. There is NO freedom anymore in healthcare. Sone nameless bureaucrats make decisions about YOUR life n your treatment. Humana has been a nightmare.
I have been with Humana for less than a year NOW I get letter saying there was a data breach, WOW!! Humana allowed someone to steal ALL of my information, my SSN, my date of birth, address, EVERYTHING!!!.Humana sent me this letter with a number to call and the recording says open starting at 8am central, well another LIE! I called it over and over and the recording also says "they are closed and it is after 9am central!!! When I saw that USAA logo was attached to it when the man was allowed to set up on a military post to sell their garbage something told me to run away but like a fool I listened to what he said and it was full of lies!!I had been cheated by USAA before when I had their insurance. Humana kept telling me that USAA had nothing RUN away from USAA, AND HUMANA!!!!
If you take medications don’t expect to get them in any kind of timely manner with terribly unbelievable excuses as to why. Been waiting 5 days for my daily pain medications from double leg amputation and paraplegia. I bet their board members get their medications on time. Back to Antheam next year for half ass better care.
I like that I get personal calls discussing my health. I dislike that the customer service rep. told me that the procedure I wanted was preapproved and the provider was in network and there was no way the claim would be denied. but it was and I had to get involved with a supervisor and put them directly in touch with the provider over procedure notes from the doctor. after 90 days the claim finally got paid.

“Humana outgrows it's Customer Service”

A man was not only once the largest insurance but as many companies go it has enrolled more memberships with less vetting of their providers and contractors that work with them to the point of being dangerous for the unknowing patient whose funds have paid them billions and there are no local officesso every time you need them it's into a National and international because they're offshore Q on emergency medical situations Tip for consumers:Although this is the more serious of the hip surgeries post poster where they go through much nerve and muscle taking a considerable rehabilitation and if Humana has their provider facility where the doctors on staff send to one of all of these that they combine together it may kill you instead of heal you Products used:Post posterior full hip replacement were surgeon refuses to get involved but may recommend rehab rehabilitation centers which per Humana may be a combination of assisted living facilities, drug rehab and an attempt to be an actual rehab rehabilitation center Service Value Quality

Humans spending account card is worthless. Absolutely zero information from Humana has been sent to me pertaining to the allowable items or stores it can be used at. Beware. The information on the Humana website is out of date, or the wait times for new patients is 6 months. And nurse/practitioner substitute not always offered, or you could pay a deductable. This is one of the worse insurance companies out there! They tell you that your medication has a no co-pay but some of them do! I have several medications that have a co-pay with them and one of the co-pay is $182.00 and with my old insurance company they all were free! I'm definitely going to change my insurance! Their operators are very rude and they talk over you and cut you off from talking! Once you let them talk and it's your turn they start talking again and continue to talk over you until you stop! I never had this done before and their GOD awful accent is not understandable and they get mad because an American can't understand their terrible accent! I've submitted several claims, several times over the past few months. When I call in, no one sees the claims. So then after being passed around from employee to employee, someone finally gives me their personal office fax number and verifies that they received the claims, again. After a few weeks go by, I try to check on the claim status. They are non existent! So I go through the same process 2 more times. Mind that each time takes over an hour of being transferred around and having to tell the whole story again and again. In a world full of insurance company crooks, Humana is crowned king. I was promised a dental plan that fully covered two routine cleanings per year with a $50 lifetime deductible. I received a bill for over $100 from my dental provider showing that Humana did not pay the full amount for my first routine cleaning (deductible already paid). I attempted to cancel my insurance, and the agent informed me that I am "unfortunately passed the refundable period and still under contract for one year." This company will lie to you,, send you down blind alleys. My stepdad passed away in Mazatlan Mexico. I was advised to file claims because he was hospitalized within the first 60 days. I was told to send my claims to the "foreign claims dept" by Meghanne J. There IS no foreign claims dept, said the next rep. Then several other calls to different people with different stories and pure bull$#*!! I was given the runaround and they wasted tons of my time filling out forms and chasing rainbows. False hopes and promises. Then they said I have to go back to Mazatlan and get the doctor to coordinate with medicare for the correct codes and also write a letter saying it was an emergency. He didn't go to the hospital for a cup of tea! Then the last woman accused me of taking my step dad there for treatment and threatened me with a fraud accusation. These people are just plain mean and evil at a time when I am distraught. There is NO mercy! Icewater in their veins.

“Customer service/website”

I'm like a lot of business peoples; I navigate many of websites daily. I find the Humana/Centerwell website to be one of the most difficult to navigate. I would place it in the top 2% worst website. Intuitive it is not. Logical it is not. There are times I find myself going in a circle or in a dead end. I find the first peoples I talk to in the Customer Service departmart are only nominally trained regarding Humana Pharmacy. Even there automatic AI is non sensical. And again, I just found myself going in a circle with Mr. AI. No way out other than to hang up and call again. I used to work in the IT department of Northwest Airlines(before Delta merger) in the 1960's and did developmental and systems work on large mainframe computers. This company has given me many problems over the years and I believe their denial of payment is simply a scam. I will never accept another Humana insured in my practice again.

Worst dental coverage you can find. I would not recommend them at all. They make sure you don't cover your deductible at all costs. They are constantly calling me to beg for a positive rating or want me to sign up for their assessments. And they make it so hard to change insurance companies.

I have had ups and down with Humana. But you have them with all insurance companies. I like that I got 50$ gift card just being healthy. And they have Humana nurse call me! There is also silver sneakers. So all and all they are good!

I order by mail to get 90 dat supplies. I tend to be forgetful and wait until the last minute. I have asked that They call 2 wks. Before my rx is due, hahaha, an I give permission to full my order. This has been going on for 3 mos. That is how long O have been using then.

“Customer service gave me the wrong phone number”

I called Humana to report a fraud claim, the person I talked to said you need to call the special fraud unit. She gave me a phone number. I called the number it turned out to be Humana pharmacy. I guess she just gave me a false number. After I was on the phone for a period of time I got the run around. I was upset. I also was prompted to give a review call, but I never got that call.
