We came up with the 11.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to hotdoc.com.au's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

  • Spam Score

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between hotdoc.com.au and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of hotdoc.com.au. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of hotdoc.com.au, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. hotdoc.com.au is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Domain Blacklisting Status

Very annoying interaction. Way too many sms's, physical letters, emails and othr comms - when I have specifically asked not to receive them. I've made an appointemnt, I know when it is, so I don't need the parental guidance on being able to remember and being interupted with these. Being asked to make a 'non-urgent' appointment should not result in daily sms's, then another sms saying we won't send another one!... then a physical letter too and then an email! How non-urgent does it need to be to warrat these sms's letters and emails? It's a legal requirement that as a patient and user that I should be able to opt out of receiving these. The website does not allow me to make this choice - contradictory to what the ACCC say you must offer. Suggest you engage your UX team to review the fucntionality and you legal team for the ACCC compliance.(edited in response to the below...) yet another excuse from hot doc when I followed up. It should not be down to me the customer to sort your system issues out!... "In this case it appears that the Clinic has enabled a minimum cancellation time, so if you try to cancel within a certain time frame, it will not be cancelled, however, the clinic is still notified of your cancellation attempt and can still choose to accept it.".Get yourself some UX and process flow people rather then send absurd excuses.
I don't like being FORCED to provide my card details when I am on a concession card and bulk billed by the practice. I phoned, dont use the app, dont know how to use a computer, dont want my details used and stored by an overseas company so HOTDOC cancelled by appointment to get test results. You cannot guarantee the security of my info, your privacy policy states my details will be shared. Bullies.
Dont sign up to hotdoc. You will be bombarded with emails and text messages. I refuse to provide my personal details to some platform who can do what ever they like with your personal details. Beware
GOOD: The ability to book online is excellentBAD: I want to delete all old recall messages sent to me by HotDoc but there is no way to do this. I have messages sitting in the app that are more than 2 years old. This is extremely annoying. Also HotDoc regularly says I have unread messages, but they are messages I have already viewed ?? Again, very annoying
Pros and cons to this..Pro as a busy single mother it's convenient to get my scripts rather than waste time on a 10 second appointment Cons as someone on a dsp payment $18 is ridiculously high stupid price than a further $7.70 to get the script filled that's a total of almost $26 to get antidepressants as a low income earner with disabilitys absaultly discusting hence the low star rating I gave esp when last time approx 6 months ago it only costed me $10... $18 just for dr to print n sighn a bit of paper is disgraceful... I've now had go 12 days without medication that litterly helps my mentle state aka depression and anxiety... I am now struggerling to want to get out of bed each day due to my depression and I can't leave my house without having a panic attack from my anxiety, cheers for being so helpful (sarcasm) not to mention my email from hot doc was found in spam why does google think your app is a spam? Bit strange to me...
Made a booking online, answered Questions truthfully. and got a message to phone practice, however my appointment was not reserved, and it was the only one available for that day. what's the point in using your service? appointment should be secured until contact can be made. IMOEditwell tried the email as suggested got a robot response and no way to continue from there. a further waste of time
Good doctor but bad system. I made a booking online at 8.30am but the doctor start work at 9 am. When I have arrived the reception didn't let me know. Otherwise I could have get a coffee or doing something else for waiting another 30 mins.
I like using the HotDoc app to make my booking as Ican see what Doctors are available as an alternative as my preferred GP is not always available or appointment times do not suit. The choice of being able to cancel and reschedule is a plus as this is extremely difficult when using the phone . This system assists the patients especially when time is of the essence.
Straight forward booking process. However, the addition of the appointment to the calendar now has glitches. Perhaps, the complications have arisen because there are now 3 options. When I started using HotDoc, the Calendar app already programmed on the iPad when purchased was the only one in use and still is as far as I’m concerned. I notice that a Calendar can be accessed on Outlook and Google something!!!
Received two false (phishing) SMS messages about clinic recall/test results, using short URL. (I.e. not full URL; convenient but dangerous/risky). Clinics should be aware.Haven’t had any problems with booking or checking an appointment ….. so far.P.s. no response required
Why can't I cancel appointments on the app?Hotdoc has charged my credit card for two appointments, but still waiting for my Medicare refund.
HotDoc it an amazing app. I use it all the time and highly recommended it to anyone who doesn’t yet have it. It not only frees up the wonderful staff at the surgery who do an amazing job but is so easy to use and being able to choose when you want to see a Dr is so much better.
I've been using HotDoc for at least a year and it's the quickest way to get an appointment, and add it straight to my calendar. I like not having to call, because I can discreetly book an appointment even at my desk at work.
I made an appointment for 04/05/23 at 3:10pm and I could go back to the appointment and cancel and rebook straight away without penalty rates. Looking at the app and seeing what days and times my GP is available, very helpful.
So easy now to book a visit to the doctor thru this app. Just need to pop your doctor's surgery in the app and all the doctor's names come up with their available appt times for the week/month. Get confirmation straight away that appointment has been made and goes to your calendar on phone as a reminder when appt. is so it is not missed. So easy and convenient, no more waiting on the phone to make an appt. or always getting a busy signal. I have been using this app for 2 years.
I enjoy using HOTDOC as I need to see the Doctor monthly. It’s important that I make my appointments ahead of time. Then I don’t have to worry about it again.HOTDOC makes this possible. I like to be on top of things and having to do this over the telephone with a Receptionist would be really annoying.HOTDOC saves me from that having to happen!!Nicole Lente
Hotdocs continually make errors in their booking procedures with doctors appointments. Sometimes I'll get to the doctor to be told the appointment hasn't passed through to the surgery, other time appointments will be double booked. They really need to sort their business out!
I use an apple iPad for the App but my main email is Microsoft Hotmail however suggested password is in Chrome which cannot be stored or accessed with the app I now have to use a separate personal password
HotDoc has changed the way I organise my health care. Appointments are so easy to organise, I get reminders and it's so quick. No more waiting on hold for a grumpy Receptionist to get back to me.
Great tool to see available appointment times for each doctor. I appreciate being able to book an appointment when it is out of hours and I know the surgery is closed. I also appreciate the reminders.
