hopper.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives hopper.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 84.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 84.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to hopper.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning hopper.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between hopper.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of hopper.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of hopper.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. hopper.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether hopper.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether hopper.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, hopper.com.

I would give them zero. they cheated me to book a car in Orlando Florida by posting a non-refundable rate. upon receiving the car, I had to pay the other 60%. I was not informed that there is a free-shuttle bus company by the rent car. I deleted the app anyhow.
I would give it 0 stars but oh well. Never through the process did it say it was USD and it was similar pricing to other AUD sites like Skyscanner. I gave it a chance and only found out it was USD when I checked how much came out. Contacting them is absolutely impossible and their AI is stupid. Do not use, it's a scam.Edit to Hopper reply: throughout the process it never said USD at all, even at the end confirming the purchase. Many reviews on your company blatantly say this (which I wish I had saw). Also getting to contact you guys is horrid and your AI chat does not work.
I bought a hotel in Missouri. Arrived with my toddler from North Carolina. The hotel had no clue about my reservation and no rooms left. My card was already charged. I called hopper and they assured me they would help promptly. 5 hrs later I was begging them to refund me and help me find a new hotel and stop putting me on hold or asking for 5 more minutes. After my toddler fell asleep in a car in an unfamiliar city I was forced to book another hotel in an unsafe area that I could afford since a refund was never confirmed.
I booked a rental car through Hopper for the first (and absolutely the last) time and thought I was getting a decent deal. I deliberately bypassed the listings that said at the top that the cars were EVs, as I did not want to rent an EV. I found one that said it was a “Midsize Special.” Nowhere in the listing did it specify that it was EV. So, the first thing that went wrong was that Hopper sent outdated instructions for picking up the vehicle, so after following those and waiting awhile for a shuttle that didn’t arrive, I learned from an airport employee that shuttles no longer exist at that airport, and that it was necessary to get on an airport train. Next, once I got to the car rental counter, I learned that the listing I had booked was for an EV, even though that had not been clearly specified by Hopper. I had to pay a significant additional amount at the rental counter to switch to a gas vehicle, which ended up making the reservation a pretty bad deal. I just spoke with Hopper customer service and they refused to do anything at all to remedy the situation and keep me as a customer. Never again; I deleted my account immediately and from now on will book directly with the rental companies!
I booked a flight and they notified me a day before that the flight was like $500 more, even though I got a confirmed booking email, saying it was processing. I booked my hotel and made my plans only for this company to not only ruin my plans, but they set me back money from booking a room. Worst company ever and a class action suit against them should placed at this point! They should honor the confirmations that they allow people to attach their credit cards too . I give them NO STARS AT ALL
Hopper is great for cheap fares but beware if you need flexible arrangements as they simply do not support this even if you pay for it. I booked a business class trip with flexible fares - no fee changes - specifically because I knew my plans might change. And indeed I needed to change the date of my return flight. I tried three times to do this with Hopper and each time the agent told me there were no available seats on the flight I was trying to change to. I was in the airline app a little later and lo and behold there were lots of seats on my first choice of new return flight. I told the Hopper agent this and was told he could not book one of them. So, in the end, despite paying a premium for flexible fares, the only way I could change my return flight was to book a new one way ticket direct with the airline. I’m out $600 plus the premium I paid Hopper for the flexible option that they simply refused to offer. I won’t ever use them again. You don’t save enough money to be worth the hassle. EDIT: I see the reply from Hopper telling me to call support... but the whole point is their support doesn't help, so what would be the reason to waste time calling a company that doesn't do anything after they tell you to call them? How about YOU reach out to customers when you've screwed up? Or how about having support that actually does what the contract committed Hopper to do?
For the last year and a half I have been traveling constantly. Only one time did Hopper have a rate that was even remotely reasonable when compared to Kayak, Skiplagged, Expedia, and Google Flights. On top of that, their push notifications are incessant to the degree that you have to completely silence them to keep your sanity. This app is not worth your time or money. Almost all travel sites and apps will give you cheaper rates.
Useless service; you pay for the app rather service.app is shiny, the ground reality is different, their responsibility ends up shooting an email to take-up with airliner for a cancelled flight , airliner sends message asking to takeup with agent.Fortunately airliner re-booked into a new flight with a delay of 6 hours making a whole journey to extend for 23 hours for a 14 hour flight journey. What i am paying for? no added value except browse cheap flights and book directly...
Worst company ever!!! Tried to book a flight with hopper and got an error notification. Called with customer service for over an hour while being out of country and they didn’t figure anything out. So 40 euros for the phone bill and no flights further I’m very disappointed in the customer service and the fact that I still don’t have a flight. Also still got 60 dollars in the app because of an already cancelled flight by hopper and not able to use my own money!!! Don’t ever book a flight through them.
I have been using the travel app for about 4 years now and I love it. It's easy to use, and I have always found the best deals with the app. I recently had to get involved with customer service, and that too was a great experience. I'm not sure why so many bad reviews. I will continue to use my Hopper app.
Personally didn’t have any issues with my experience with hopper. I booked 4 plane tickets including a roundtrip flight from NYC to Spain for under $700 for all 4 flights in the summer of 2022. I will use again. The hotel section seems iffy, I’d rather use Expedia for hotels.
Customer service non existent for airlines.I purchased a flight and the airline modified my flight without my confirmation. I spent 2 weeks going back and forth with hopper and some agents told me they would handle my request just to call back and be told i had to contact the airline directly. The airline denied my refund and now i lost all my money and hopper is not responding. Avoid the headache and just purchase directly from hotels/ airlines.
I see a lot of bad reviews on here but I can personally say I've utilized Hopper multiple times, including out of the country flights. I have never had a problem. I've never had to contact them to resolve an issue, so I can't speak to that, but I recommend them to people a lot and have never had negative feedback.
My flight was cancelled due to the global crowd strike outage. I have called Hopper over 10 times now about a refund and everytime I’m told they’ll get back to me in 12-24 hours. They NEVER get back to me so I keep calling and getting absolutely no resolution even after asking to escalate this several times. I pretty much never leave reviews but this has been a terrible experience.
hate leaving bad reviews but honestly, no way am i booking through hopper again. I had to cancel one of my flights in November 2023, got credit to be used within 1 year. IT WILL NOT LET ME USE THIS CREDIT TO RE-BOOK. I had to call 4x and it still isn't booked or resolved. They had me request to be accepted into a flight, then couldn't accept the request for some glitch. Phone help was no help as they couldn't find the same flights as i was finding either, no one responds to emails and it will not allow me to book thru app as it keeps making me request approval which just bounces me back to a general email that tells me to calll....... seriously?? never booking on hopper again.
First time using the Hopper app--worst travel experience of my life. Booked a hotel through the app, but on check-in the front desk had no record of our reservation. All other hotels were booked (big convention), so we were stranded. Called customer service (outsourced to India), and they provided no help other than offering a refund. But instead of a refund, they DOUBLE-CHARGED us, for twice the hotel cost!! Called customer service again and got a run around--still waiting on BOTH refunds! Beware of this scam--run away!
Run from hopper. Booked flight and paid extra for priority support and CFAR insurance. Guess what it got me? Nothing, nada, nil. Do not waste your money. Use any booking site but Hopper. Worst customer service ever.
Bought round tickets for family of 3 from Seattle to Berlin. On their return flight from Berlin when we tried to check in it shows only 2 person, we called hopper they told us we canceled my daughter's return ticket from the hopper app. Which we never did. We end up buying a return ticket for 1780$ so she fly back with us. Wonder if anybody else had same experience
There is no clear "contact us" on their website. When I finally found a number the customer service representative sent me an email with a link meant to help with a refund. The link did not work, when I advised she said she would send me it again.. she proceeded to resend the same link then sent me right to the "rate this call" so I could not speak to her anymore. She fully knew she did not have the correct link then hung up on me. Her name is Sheetal B
Literal piece of s*** service. I will never book through them again. Was trying to book a Nashville to Orlando flight and they booked me 4 separate flights from Nashville-Boston Boston-Orlando and then on the way back they booked Orlando-Philly Philly-Nashville. It was just as expensive and now I have to pay for luggage 4 times. I am beyond upset. Take my advice; do not use hopper!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

I smell a scam. I found this site connected to my credit card, but I didn\'t connect it. I tried to log in with all my standard travel email addresses, yet it didn\'t know who I was. I wouldn\'t trust this site at all.
