homesalive.ca Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives homesalive.ca a medium trust score on the platform: 56.1. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Active. Medium-Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 56.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to homesalive.ca's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Active. Medium-Risk. tags above. Long story short, we still see some red flags with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning homesalive.ca, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between homesalive.ca and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of homesalive.ca. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of homesalive.ca, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. homesalive.ca is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether homesalive.ca has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether homesalive.ca boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, homesalive.ca.

Amazon was out of my dogs fav treat, so I explored online and found it here! Better price than I'd been paying and super-quick shipping! (You pay for shipping but a fair price. I got my order overnight.)
I read the reviews before I placed an order for the first time. Honestly, reading some of the bad reviews, it's as if I'd ordered from a different company altogether! My order was shipped the day after I placed my order and arrived promptly via fedex a few days later. Hopefully, I'll have the same positive experience in the future!
We've been ordering online from this store over the pandemic, and it's rare that you go seeking out a place to leave a positive review for a company- but they deserve it. I wouldn't put much stake in the negative review here. They've been absolutely amazing. Their stock is fresh. Their customer service is totally on top of things. They basically have gotten us through this crazy time, and I can't recommend them highly enough!!
I've used Homes Alive for pet care supplies for many months now in 2021 and have been thrilled with speed if arrival, quality of product and the extra bonus handkerchiefs that we've received for our dog. Service is awesome. My ultimate surprise was when I ordered last minute gift ideas for a friend with a new puppy and I was thrilled when the items arrived sooner than anticipated! Which was just in time for the new puppy. I've never had a problem with anything we bought. Favorite items are Homes Alive collapsible bowls, kong toys and the " Messy Mutts Travel Water Dispenser". JW balls with holes for easy grabbing and pulling also a success.
Thank you to the representative (Irene at Customer Service desk and another Rep at Customer Service) at Homes Alive for helping me with my pump for the Swan Fountain!!!! It was a treat to have them call me back instead of waiting on the phone!! You guys rock!!
I have been amazed by how quickly my orders are shipped and by the wonderful products these folks carry. I ordered from another company at the same time and was still waiting for that order to be shipped when my Homes Alive order arrived. My little cat thanks them for their wonderful service.
I purchased the Acana wet food for my Calico cat (Pumpkin) for the first time on this site and gave her the usual portion for her meal. She devoured the portion in no time flat. I have had her on the dry kibble version of this when I first got her from SpayDay N.S. and she loved it as well. However, because this dry kibble is quite pricey for the large bag, I had to stop as I am on a fixed income so I switched to Blue Buffalo at my local grocery store due to increased convenience of purchasing. As of now, they have discontinued it and I can no longer get it and have been transitioning her to a new food which she loves and I ordered from Homes Alive which will soon be replaced with the larger bag of it. As for my experience with this company so far, it has been great. Delivery has always been on time and the fact that this is a Canadian website is a bonus.
Very unreliable and I was a loyal customer for years. You can't trust the stock even if you've place the order, you may get a random email days later saying oh sorry we don't have that, even after you've paid for it. Customer service used to be good but is now poor. Don't take any chances.
I decided to try a few new online pet food shops and this was by far my favourite of the 4 I tried. They subsidize the shipping cost which is a big deal when buying online in Canada. The packing was good, resulting in very few dented cans (there will always be some but these guys had the least except for Naturally Urban who pack WELL but can't compete for the selection Homes Alive offers). The other stand-out detail is that you can get most types of canned food ONE CAN AT A TIME. I tried something crazy like 10-20 new products, about half of which my cats enjoyed. I'm so glad I didn't have to invest in a case of each to try them because cats are so fussy. Now we've found a bunch of new options without any waste! What a great option. These guys also were the fastest by far, shipping Monday after I placed an order Saturday evening. And they had everything I ordered, while other shops refunded or delayed for out of stock items. Huge and reliable selection, fast, great price on shipping, and single cans available... it's everything I want! I have yet to encounter a problem so I'm not sure how the customer service is. Will update when that day comes, if they handle it particularly well or badly.
Very Helpful and Clean We have switched to going to this place instead of the other pet stores because they have a huge variety of products and lots of raw food options. The staff is very helpful with answering all my questions about food and products best suited for my pup! Not to mention this store is so clean and does not smell like you are walking into a pet store. Love it
I made a big order like I had for many years . Instead of arriving in sealed bags the bones came in paper bags loose and all over the place . I have received bags of 25 for years from here and they stayed fresh that way . Customers service was literally useless telling me to ship them back ??? Now I have to rethink where to buy these next time ! Too bad
The bag of dog food I got had a hole in it. I ended up putting a piece of tape over it and my dog didn’t seem to care but it’s kind of wild that they sent me a bag with a hole in it. Wasn’t up to arguing with customer service about it since my dog didn’t seem to mind and it didn’t smell foul.
Very pleased with their customer service, I needed help and they came through!
I purchase a number of items that came to a total over $370.00 for my dog. Three toys an intelligence toy and five food items. Ime rating this company at one star, which I'm defining as an over all fail at customer service and satisfaction. After my dog did not approve of the Intelligence toy, and one large stuffed toy, and three food items, I asked if the items can be return and I was told yes when I made the purchase, I live over an hour away from town and I phoned to ensure that I was still indeed able to return the specific items that my Dog disapproved of, however when I got to the store I was told that only the food items were allowed to be returned, however the toys were not because they are considered a fi.al sale as per corporate policy! I pushed my point that the items were absolutely untouched with the tags still intact and the Intelligence toy still perfectly in its box, after some stress the store manager agreed to give me store credit?!! Almost 200 dollar that remains useless to me because I have no reason to continue to shop at this store based upon their policy. There was no express statement defining the toys to be a final sale and now MY MONEY remains to be the object they hold ransom to manipulate me to spend ONLY at their store.Well I may just look into going to court over this and see how corporate feels having their pants pulled down!!!!I WILL get MY money back.
Great customer service. This is the first time I order from this company. I had to contact customer service because the dog's shampoo bottles were leaking. The customer service responded immediately and provided a reasonable solution in a timely manner.
Thought I'd give these folks a try with the busy Christmas season but boy was that a mistake. The order got delayed due to the snow which I totally get. Fedex pushed the delivery three days because of it but when the weather got better Fedex kept issuing out for delivery notices but the package never arrived. They said it was due to weather but the days they tried were nice days. Clear, sunny, no snow, good road conditions so not sure why they lied about weather being the reason. I reached out to Home Alive Pets to see if they could help because I really needed some of the supplies in the order but they offered no support. I had to go out and purchase items to replace the ones in the order which I really couldn't afford and I let the company know and they offered no help. The options given were to refuse delivery (that never came and is still outstanding) so the package could be returned THEN they would issue a refund or wait for them to submit a lost package claim with Fedex and WAIT for the issue to be resolved. Why as the customer should I wait to get my money back?! The items have not reached me and if issues continue with Fedex why is my money being held captive when it's their issue to sort out with Fedex? I paid before getting the order so why won't the company refund me knowing they'll either get the items back or get compensation from Fedex? I ended up submitting a claim with Fedex in an attempt to get my money back because I can't afford to give Home Alive Pets my money then go out and buy the same items again but I have no faith that Fedex or Home Alive Pets will do the right thing.Fedex finally delivered the package but because of their inability to complete deliveries on three previous out for delivery notices they could not complete it cost me money I couldn't afford to spend. I had to go out and purchase a couple of the items again because they were needed. Learned my lesson though, I will not order through this company again and I will NEVER use or order from a company that uses Fedex.

“Best place to buy pet food online in Canada!”

If you are looking for a place to buy pet food online in Canada look no further. Homesalive.ca is the place to go. They offer a huge selection at great prices with reasonable shipping costs and they ship quickly. I had a minor issue one time that really had nothing to do with them but their customer service went way (WAY!) beyond my expectations and handled it themselves. They are a fantastic Alberta based company and I will use them as long as I have pets. I have recommended to friends across the country and this is definitely one website I give a huge thumbs up to.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
